    Helpful staff, beautiful ambiance. Portions could have been a lot bigger (had to share a 10oz steak with another person). Very enjoyable but not sure was worth the cost

    For our first trip to Lake Louise, Walliser Stube was definitely one of the highlights. It was a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. The service was incredible; everyone was so friendly and even gave us advice to help us plan out the rest of our trip. Their cheese fondue was one of our personal favourites; it tastes amazing! Definitely would go back again.

    Food is always good here but over-priced. You essentially pay for the location and legacy of the restaurant but I have found over the last few years, the prices just get higher and higher without much to show for it. Service: when Spending $300+ for a meal for a couple, service should be impeccable. While servers are friendly, they seem under staffed. When we sat down it took over 10 minutes to get greeted, dirty dishes stayed on our table for long periods, and we actually had to flag down our server to get our bill. It was only then she asked if we wanted coffee or dessert. By that time (past 10pm) lots of tables were empty so not sure why the delays. Disappointing. You have work to do Walliser Stube.

    We had the Château experience and our main took an unusually long time to arrive. We didn’t make a fuss, our server was good and I’ve worked in the service industry and things happen. My only real suggestion would be that if a meal is going to take a long time for whatever the reason, even if the table doesn’t seem to mind, communicate the eta anyway.

    The service, food and restaurant overall was amazing. Have never been to a cheese fondue restaurant before and this exceeded my expectations! Had the truffle fondue and I would have it again. Our waiter was attentive and polite. Definitely recommend.

    My wife and I shared the Lobster and Scallion Fondue, which was amazing. I had the Pork Schnitzel, which was pretty underwhelming...although it was lighter than I expected, it was quite under-seasoned and I immediately regretted my order. My wife had the Mushroom Strudel, which was ok, but the accompanying risotto was way over-seasoned. The waitstaff was wonderful and very helpful. However, the overall ambiance was a bit dark, gloomy and uninspiring and the prices were way over the top considering the overall quality of the food.

    I had the red fish which was snapper. The fish was good but the crab ravioli was terrible. Cooked too al dente for my taste. Almost raw. Covered in some awful green sauce. Service was good. View from the windows was awesome.

    The service, like everywhere else at the CLL, was outstanding. We had the fondue for our appetizer, venison, snapper, and veal were our mains. All of the dishes were cooked to perfection. We had an infant with us (we warned them ahead of time) and the staff were all very gracious - not alarmed at all.

    Dining at Walliser Stube was the perfect ending to a week-long winter ski vacation in Banff and Lake Louise. The ambiance is heavenly - especially if in the back room with a view of the lake. We ordered to dinner for two. The cheese fondu appetizer was quite good - a bit mild which for some is probably preferable. The chateaubriand was impeccable. The meat was so tender and so full of flavor - days later I feel I can still taste it on my tongue. The waiter settled our domestic argument about whether to order the dark or milk chocolate fondue for dessert by offering both. Great wine and beer selections and of course very good schnapps. This meal really put us in a great mood and made up for some of the lack-luster dinners at some of the other restaurants in the two Fairmont hotels. Splurge and live a little.

    Ambiance was so beautiful but marred by the constant use and presence of electronic devices at tables near us. Staff chose to allow this distraction. I could not simply look away as tables were close to one another and positioned in such a way it was hard to ignore.

    excellent dining experience spoilt a little by the restaurant being under staffed! That shouldn’t really happen at the Fairmont! Food was excellent, service by our waitress was outstanding when she had time. Overall ambience and setting is wonderful! Well worth visiting!

    -Waiting staff was pretentious - because not a guest of the hotel, was made to feel like a second class citizen - especially on table placement and time of booking. - meal was not the quality it once was - was constantly being up sold on liquor - This Resturant was once the preeminent Fondue restaurant in Canada and the current ownership of the Fairmont Hotel chain has altered to such an extent that I cannot recommend and most certainly will not go to again. Very Disappointing

Guests staying in the hotel have few to no dining options besides the hotel due to our remote location. When the hotel becomes quite busy we ensure guests always have a place to eat.     Mediocre quality of food. Fish was so dry it was inedible. Sent it back. Spatzle was buried under too much cheese. Needs modernization of menu. Too expensive for quality. Waitress and service great though.
