    Escargot was terrible, no garlic in oil, just oil. Endive salad tasteless. Service lacking in several areas: courtesy, friendlyness, no pen to sign credit card bill, no follow up to see how food is, no pepper until requested. Roving musician/singer became annoying after a short time. Been there many time but this Sunday was terrible.

    Had a really nice experience at Wally’s Desert turtle. I found out that they were founded by the same person that founded the Vet turtle which brought back fond memories for me.

    Fabulous. Simply Fabulous. The service, the food, the hospitality were all some of the best ever. The Dover Sole is to die for. And a special treat when the owner (Maddie) stopped by the table to say hello and make us feel welcome. If you have never been to Wally's, do yourself a favor and go...but please leave a little Dover Sole for our next visit.

    We had the best of all possible days at Wally’s Friday ladies who lunch and want to buy clothes and jewelry and feel like divas day. The lunch served was sublime..service impeccable.. the setting had the most fun vibe with glamour and luxury.. it’s a very well kept secret,but now that I know about it, I will be there all the time. A true highlight for the desert and women who want to live large!

    Live music. Fantastic food. Festive atmosphere. Impeccable service. What else can one ask for? Well what you receive is one of the most heartfelt welcomes in the Coachella Valley. Thank you for a very special night. We are bringing some other friends next week.

    Our dinner on Thanksgiving was our first visit to Wally’s. It was jam packed and the wait was 45 minutes from our arrival for our 7:30 reservation. Too long, even on Thanksgiving. The atmosphere was vibrant, though, and credit must be given to management for offering champagne to guests while they waited. A lovely woman also went from table to table after dinner and apologized for the unusually long wait. There was a great jazz singer/musician who entertained us while we waited. Food wise: it was just ok, but that’s to be expected on a big day like Thanksgiving, I guess. Service wise: our waitress showed up once to take our order and then abandoned us to pour our own wine. No check in until the very end of our meal. The server ( a gentleman) was obviously harried and quickly put down our plates in a less than elegant manner. It did feel like they were just cranking out the meals but, again, Thanksgiving to a packed restaurant. Still, when you’re paying quite a bit for a dining experience, there was a lot of room for improvement.

    Food was good. The servers were friendly but overworked. The restaurant was overbooked. The service was sloppy because of the overcrowding. Waiting for 45 minutes was not pleasant and having people crowded around us was not good.

    Love Wally’s for the holidays! This year the early customers enjoyed themselves so much that they stayed longer than normal so the customers for the rest of the day/evening had to wait beyond their reservation time. The owner handled it with the utmost grace and calming manner to make the waiting customers less anxious. This must have been a challenging evening for all of the staff but their professionalism is why Wally’s is one of the best restaurants in the desert. I’ve already made our Christmas Day reservations!

    This was a special Thanksgiving Dinner, clearly they overbooked the facility and capability of the staff. Our reservation was for 5:45pm. We did not get seated until after 7:00pm. After arriving promptly at 5:45, We stood in a check in line for 20 minutes before being checked in. Very poorly managed. Poor communication with the customers. I would recommend not making reservations at Wally’s Desert Turtle for these kinds of events.

    The restaurant overbooked. We waited nearly an hour to be seated for our reserved time. This was Thanksgiving Dinner. People in line were extremely unhappy as we were. When we were finally at a table things improved. The wait staff was great and the food good but WOW so disorganized. Very disappointed ☹️

    The experience was 100% perfect last year!!! This year, good, but you were clearly overbooked! I understand you had approx 700 covers to last years 450? We waited approx 45 minutes to be seated. (Joe, in wheelchair, not happy!!!) All else was, as always, well done!) We shall return!!!!!

    We had a great time spending Thanksgiving at Wally's. I am not sure if they were prepared to have such a large crowd because everything was running behind schedule. We were seated about 30 minutes after our original reservation time. The staff was absolutely amazing!

    Despite a reservation the wait was 30 minutes. After being seated it took ten minutes for water and drinks. Rolls were never received at our table but every other table got them before dinner. Portions are small, food is decent but I could cook a better meal than they did. Once is more than enough.

    Very busy holiday, but their timing was perfect. Our reservation was for 2:30 and we were seated at 2:30. Impeccable service—friendly, attentive and we never felt rushed. Excellent food.     Staff unprepared for the crush ~ Even tho our reservation was for right after opening, it took almost an hour before we were seated ~ The featured Thanksgiving dinner was so far below the standard we expect at Wally's, that I was embarrassed for them ~ ~ However, our guests who opted for the steak were delighted with their dinner ~ Thanksgiving is the most special dinner of the year and people want to enjoy the feast ~ I know we stayed at the table too long, but the wine was flowing and family was together ~ As we left, the glares from those folks standing in line just to get in were daunting ~ If Wally's wants to have these big holiday dinners, they can't over-book ~ We will only come back for private dinners ~

    Wally's is a local favorite and never misses in my humble opinion. We have been coming here since 2015 when we first moved to the desert. The food and the service is always impeccable and it did not disappoint. For a special dinner or just to grab drinks and apps it's always great.

    A magical evening just as I have come to expect from Wally’s. The service was impeccable. Our entrees- Dover Dole, Lake Superior Whitefish and Icelandic Salmon - each perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Signature Grand Mariner Soufflé and Baked Alaska for dessert. So impressive that we made holiday plans to dine here again on Thanksgiving AND Christmas. A long time favorite, it continues to evolve as lifestyles and palates change. Kudos to all!

    Wonderful evening! Delicious cocktails, food was very good. We did get the soufflé but a little disappointed with lack of flavor. Overall the evening was great and the service was outstanding! Thank you for a lovely evening for our anniversary!!

    I ordered Liver - medium rare. It was overdone. My wife ordered the cauliflower steak. She has had it before at other restaurants. It did not measure up.

    The crowd makes the experience. Quite the neighborhood. Two Rolls Royce parked in front, and lots of palm Desert/Rancho Mirage originals inside.
