   Really welcoming and friendly staff, it was busy with a great chilled vibe. We had pizzas, garlic bread, chips and desserts… couldn’t fault any of it… Smokey pig was awesome! Hummus was also hand made and exceptional… we will be back for sure

   we arrived an hour early than our booked time, but were able to sit at our table. My daughter wanted a chicken pasta dish that you have previously had on your menu, but isn't currently available, the chef was more than happy to accommodate this request.    I have probably rating this venue lower than deserved as it was not what I was expecting. This is a great seaside cafe that does a bit of nighttime/early evening food. It is not a restaurant. The food was excellent and the staff very efficient and helpful. We also caught the end of a great entertainer which added to the ambience.

    This has to be the best restaurant to eat in the area. The 4 pizzas we ordered were excellent, the ingredients, taste and presentation. Staff were attentive and nothing seemed to much trouble. We will most certainly be going back when we are next in the area.

    A fabulous first visit to Watch House, definitely won’t be the last. The buttermilk chicken burger served on a pretzel bun was just delicious. Thanks to all the team for great service.

    Great food, great atmosphere, great service and very doggy friendly. Shabby chic style cool vibe beach dining, very relaxed we thoroughly enjoyed it. The salty fingers gin (their own) was lovely !

    We were impressed that the Chef came to discuss menu options for the vegan members of our party and they had choice, and a very tasty meal. Some of our party had the fish and chips, the fish was delicious. Some of the puddings weren't as special, but the vegan chocolate cake was good and others which are home made would probably be a good choice.

    The food and service were excellent, especially on what was a busy bank holiday. Unfortunately, it was a little bit noisy when we first arrived, but quietened down later, enabling us to have a relaxing end to our meal.

    Overall, very enjoyable lunch. Both fish and chips and prawns were excellent. The crab sandwich, however was pitiful. 3 tiny spoonfuls of bright orange mixed crabmeat on a slice of toasted sour dough. Tasted good but very small potion. Drinks were slow to arrive.     It was so warm in there they wouldn’t put the sides up it was like eating in a greenhouse. We wouldn’t spent more time in there getting drinks and pudding but we wanted to eat and get out as soon as possible. The food was tasty but expensive!

    Ordered full English for £13 - which didn't even come with toast. Had to spend another £2.50 for one piece of bread, cut in half. Only a small thing - but not really - how can a full English NOT include bread?? Disappointing...

    This was our first visit as we usually eat at The Hive. The Watch House has little of the charm of The Hive - you can't see the sea for a start. They had run out of vanilla ice cream, chocolate brownies and sticky toffee pudding, which was most of the dessert menu, but no one had thought to inform the staff. The kids were noisy and even the dogs were badly behaved. The fish and chips were as good as usual but we can have that at The Hive.
