Our multi-course prefix menus offer a combination of family style and plated courses in a refined yet casual dining experience. We showcase the region’s seasonally fresh ingredients, with vegetables and herbs stagger-planted in the property’s garden plots and proteins such as cattle, pork, lamb, poultry and game birds raised on our estate farm.

Waupoos Restaurant offers a unique dining experience. Every delicious morsel and wine in our glass is produced, farmed, harvested, made, smoked on the estate (except for the salmon which is farmed in neighbouring Cobourg, close enough). The flavours are simple yet complex. There is such an elegance to Chef Scott's execution. Pretty humbling to have that kind of creativity & skill manifest onto our plate. The service is phenomenal. Damien, their GM, works the room with such ease that you can't help but feel special yet comfortable. And he is knowledgeable of all things County! Everyone we encountered from the person that greeted us at the door to the fellow that cleared our table were pros. If you want exceptional, dine here.
Tonight dinner was exceptional. We all loved the whole experience!
Excellent. Food, presentation, service. We'll return.
Magnificence meal! Superb, friendly service. A must while visiting PEC. Cheers !
The server was outstanding . What else can I say. The food was excellent except the steak was a bit grainy; the fish was perfect
Fabulous meal! Wonderful exhibition of locally produced foods. After being seated a large group arrived and was seated in our area. Restaurant staff were completely understanding and friendly about moving us to another table. Very professional.
Excellent cuisine ! Loved every bite ! Celebrated our anniversary at Waupoos and will fondly remember this evening for years to come.
One of the finest dining experiences my wife and I have ever enjoyed. Waupoo has overcome the accute staff shortage the region is experiencing by attracting great employees. The food and wine is grown entirely from their property and their chef is world class.
Beautiful venue! Would love to come back in summer to see the lake while dining. Great service and delicious food! Hats off to the Chef and staff
Outstanding! What a beautiful dinner…the taste and presentation was spectacular. Chef Scott always outdoes himself!!!
The menu was outstanding ,
Every dish was tasteful set up, there was more than enough time between appetizer ,soup, main and desert. For once no rush to seat the next shift..great. one of the restaurant we went to in Canada....we're coming from Belgium (Belgium) and didn't experience a lot of great restaurants so far. Congratulations , one point can better the ambiance...
We had a lovely meal October 9 at the Waupoos Winery restaurant. We had not realized it was a five course prix fixe dinner, so we perhaps did not need quite as much food that evening. Nonetheless, the quality of all the dishes was very good and the service throughout the evening was excellent. We chose pickerel and short ribs as our main dishes and both were very good. Less popular with us was the charcuterie board, but the restaurant-baked bread was outstanding and a pasta dish was superb. All in all, a very nice evening.
Waupoos delivered a meal to remember. We, a party of eight, enjoyed a variety of delicious tastes from the surrounding gardens. The service was excellent and we really appreciated the enlightening and amusing commentary from the chef. The only disappointment was the goat, which we found tough and grizzly. However, all the other courses were delicious and delightful.
The break was awesome ... The other services very good.
The food was fabulous and the portions were very generous. We dined overlooking Lake Ontario on a lovely fall evening. Our server was excellent and very entertaining. We would definitely go again.
Wonderful and creative food. A real gem in Prince Edward County!
Our server was timely and courteous during the entire service. He even took the time to open the wine shop back up so we could purchase some bottles. The chef took the time to bring each course out personally and explain each dish. The food is was both delicious and interesting in the way that each dish was something unusual and wouldn’t necessarily be something that, as a diner, one would think of.
All of the food that we ate was locally sourced. The food was mostly sourced from the grounds of the winery and everything that wasn’t from there was sourced locally. My wife and I loved that they made the effort to do this and showcase the quality of local ingredients.
Our overall experience and meal were top shelf. If you’re in Prince Edward County please make one of your dinner choices Waupoos Restaurant.
The restaurant is clearly trying to achieve. The setting is lovely. The service was good. The food was okay but generally lacked flavour and character. The pasta dish, for example, had no taste, although it was cooked well. The online menu suggested that they would have dry aged beef, which is certainly not what was presented; to be fair, there was a caveat that the menu could change due to availability. As we were going in the chefs were discussing how much chicken to cook and they noted that they had one left over from the previous night, which did not inspire confidence. The dining room is all hard surfaces and too noisy to suit us. The food was okay, and there was a lot of it, but I can't see going back unless the food (and wine) substantially improves.
In our opinion the best restaurant in the County. Creative and beautifully presented dishes using local products. Scott McInerney's beet carpacio with house smoked salmon was a particularly inspired combination. We both had the fish which was excellent and very well prepared highlighting it's freshness. The house made custard with peach preserve was lovely. The weakest dish was the cheese with fermented plum which overpowered the delicate cheese. Overall a great meal and well paced attentive service. Check it out when in PEC.
My wife and I are still talking (seven days later!) about the warm-tender-amazing pita served to start. Everything that followed was very good. We liked the concept of one price for the whole 6 course meal (our favorite restaurant in Granby, QC does the same).
What an outstanding experience! We absolutely loved the Chef’s six course tasting menu as we celebrated my husband’s Birthday! The quality and attention to detail created a farm to table dinner to remember! The ambiance of the restaurant and waterfront location added to the peaceful and beautiful setting! Highly recommended for all foodies 🥰!
Great vibe, scenery is wonderful, food was delicious, service outstanding.
The service was spectacular. Our waiter sommelier was knowledgeable on top of being extremely kind and generous.
Food wise, some plates stood out more than others (the home made pita bread was divine) and the plate presentation lacked finesse at times.
Overall, great experience
It was a very good meal, and we recommend it to everyone who wants to have a good evening. The place is outstanding, the staff very attentive and courteous and the very talented chef certainly has a bright future ahead of him.
The food and service were outstanding. The prices were very reasonable for both the food and wine. The location was amazing and the staff very professional. We even had a visit from the chef which was a nice touch.
The only issue we had was transportation. We were enjoying the lovely wine so chose not to drive. We managed to get a cab from Picton to dinner but really struggled to get a ride back later at night.
Thanks to the Waupoos staff!

We really loved our dinner at Waupoos Winery. We enjoyed all of the food except the mains. The chicken was dry & the texture of the beef was off even though it was cooked correctly. The waitress never refilled our wine & our bottle sat empty for awhile before we flagged her down for another drink. Otherwise, it was a stunning location & the rest of the food was excellent.
We had a wonderful time there. The food was excellent and the Manager and rest of staff very friendly and informative. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone
We had lunch here on Sunday and had the fixed price menu. The atmosphere was breathtaking but the service was so slow. It was over an hour before we got our main coarse which was surprising. The restaurant was not that busy, and given there was a set menu you would think it wouldn’t take that long. Also others that were seated way after us received their food in half the amount of time. It’s like we were forgotten about. We ended up having to take our dessert to go. For a lunch that cost over $100 I wasn’t impressed.
Very nice food in a lovely setting. Highly recommend.
We really enjoyed a flavourful meal with a beautiful view from the terrace. It was also great that they had kid’s meal options too. The service was excellent too
The food is unbelievable and the atmosphere is wonderful. Andrea was our server and she is incredible.
The chef came out to see us at the end and explained a lot of the prep process which was really cool and very kind.
Love this place!
An absolutely amazing meal and experience. In the top 3 of restaurant meals I have had in my life Highly recommend.
It was a surprise find in PEC.
waupoos winery was great. the prix fix menu was perfectly curated for a great experience. Ana was an amazing server as well! Highly recommend!
Excellent service and food, very attentive service, good ambience. Well designed menu to taste the freshness local ingredients.
Lovely evening with the special Countylicious menu. Food and wine were great.
Wonderful dinner at Waupoose Restaurant!
My wife and I stayed at the ClaFeld House across the street from the Waupoose winery restaurant this past Saturday. We lucked out as that was the last day before it closed for the season. We chose from the countylicious menu. Everything from the cesar salad, smoked salmon, beef and lamb to the dessert was fabulous!
The service was excellent. We were very impressed with the COVID-19 protocols and how seriously they adhered to them.
We hope to stay at the house again this summer and will reserve for dinner at this restaurant once again for sure!

Everything was great. The host was friendly, attentive and was pleasant to chat with. The food was hot and delicious, while the lighting and music were at appropriate levels. The owner had a very fun and colourful face mask on and genuinely wanted us to have an excellent evening at his establishment.
Service and food excellent. Beautiful location overlooking the vineyard on Lake Ontario.
