    Always an awesome experience at WestOak. This was our second time dining here as we don’t live in Vancouver. Our server was friendly, efficient and very personable. He went out of his way to ensure that our birthday celebration was a good one. Will definitely be back again.

    Went for their great Happy Hour before a Canucks game. Their Prawns are just awesome. Sat at a bar high top table and Noah the bartender was super attentive.

    From Toronto. We ordered the calamari to share, amazing accompanied salad and the calamari wasn’t too crispy, it was breaded just right, how I like it. Sablefish & prawn salad - excellent portion size, light fish and tasty prawns. Pasta Caesar salad w/chicken

    As this was where we met for our first date it only seemed fitting to come for our 1 year anniversary. We always have great service at Westoak, however this time was different. Our waitress took the level of service to a new level. Thank you for making this a memorable evening. Can’t wait to come back.

    We arrived and were seated promptly. Staff were friendly. It was a bit noisy but it was busy. I ordered a fish dish and I really wasn’t very impressed. It seemed slimy which made me feel it was slightly under cooked. It was a very greasy dish and the oily film in the mouth after eating some of it seemed to take over everything in the dish. The plate looked lovely. Flavour was okay but it certainly didn’t stand out. I feel this is overpriced for what you get.

    It was ok nothing to rave about. Food was little too oily. Fries were warm borderline cold. Took a long time to get them didn’t bother returning them because we were hungry. Mains were ok. Over all it’s a meh experience. Only time I felt exited and welcomed was by the host.

    everything was great! just thought our server was not engaging. everytime we wanted something we had to grab her attention and then she would say "what's up"? she would take our empty wine bottle away but never asked if we wanted more, we again had to flag her down. otherwise food was delicious!!

    We ate at the bar, and Noah took great care of us. The food was delicious, Noah’s conversation was great, and his service was impeccable. The drinks were perfect and the food was plentiful at an affordable price. We had a wonderful dining experience.

    Entrees were not good, especially for the price. Fish was “fishy” tasting and the lamb although fell from the bone and cooked well was tough. Possibly a new supplier? It was way too dark inside the restaurant. Needed to use our phones to even read the menu. Maybe some candles or something would help. The server was new and didn’t really understand a few nuances of serving, (what a tall drink means, how to split the bill, use of the payment machine. bringing tea before dinner along with our cocktails), but he was very hospitable and enthusiastic.

    The lamb lollipops, ahi tuna and chinois prawns were absolutely delicious starters. Generous size portion of the Westoak burger. Rack of lamb was cooked to perfection-get the full rack! The only thing that was disappointing was the gnocchi, we ordered a side and were told it’s $1 per piece! We ordered 20 and regretted as it was very dense and heavy and super bland. We make way better gnocchi homemade ourselves. The happy hour drinks were a bonus!

    We got recommended this place from my partners co-worker. We looked it up and decided we’d go try it out. It was a very nice place, the dinner menu is small along with being over priced in person opinion for what you get. The washrooms were disgusting, and very small. I did not see one available for anyone with a wheel chair. Overall it was a 7/10. Score based on the deliciousness of the food (again over priced) and the service we received which was excellent.

    Good food, great value on happy hour, but the worst service I’ve ever received. Our server seemed miserable, she took 10 minutes before even greeting us, then took forever to bring any drinks or food to the table. She got our order wrong, we ordered carpaccio and she brought our charcuterie and even called it carpaccio when dropping it off at the table, then proceeded to blame us for ordering the wrong thing. Probably the worst server I’ve ever had, rude and didn’t care.

    Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. She recommended some drinks and main dishes for us. The drinks and food were amazing. Love the toast lamb and the sable fish. I’ve been here and hand full of time and it’s always great!!

    The menu is great, and the service is competent and friendly. I love how they create an excellent ambiance without loud music and noise. Our group enjoyed that we could hear each other across the table and lingered longer than we may have in other restaurants where one tends to talk only to the persons closest to you.
