We will do our best to accommodate your requests, but we cannot guarantee where you will be seated. Additionally, reservations are unavailable for dockside dining, as outdoor tables are first come first serve.
Whalers is modern and fresh with a nod to what it’s like growing up on the Great South Bay. Located right in the middle of the action down on Maple Ave, we are looking forward to getting customers who live locally, but also those who are heading over to Fire Island.
We look forward to serving you!

We chose whalers to celebrate our friends wedding. We made a reservation but arrived earlier than our allotted time and was warmly welcomed. The ambience was just perfect for a wedding vibe 😉 our waitress (Lindsay) was wonderful. She went out of her way to care for our party. The food was soooo delicious and it arrived hot and freshly made.
As a side note, when the staff found out the special occasion we were celebrating they went above and beyond to make our friends feel special!
We will definitely visit again!
The food is prepared well with good portion size and menu has a Korean flair which adds to the quality of the food. Under appreciated restaurant and menu
Took the kids after a show and they love the upstairs ambiance and the food was amazing!!! They have an Asian Iinfluence and it is great!!!
Great experience dining at Whalers during Restaurant Week! Delicious food, great cocktails, and attentive service! It’s one of our favorite spots and doesn’t disappoint.
Food was delicious and Jack served us well
Great ambience, amazing view. Good food. Would recommend
Restaurant is beautiful with a great view however it is so noisy you couldn’t even hear the person sitting next to Won’t be returning until the weather is nice and you sit outside
Visited because of Restaurant Week. Everything was elegant and delicious. Loved the Beef Wellington and hope they will add that to the regular menu. Will definitely return.
The food is always good, with enough variety for everyone’s taste. The service was great!
Food and service were excellent, kudos to the chef!!!
Amazing food! amazing atmosphere! Loved it and will highly recommend
Brunch was great! They were extremely accomodating when our party size changed too. The food was fresh and awesome the portions were huge.
The atmosphere was awesome very pretty restaurant with great food and service
Love Whalers. The ambiance is beautiful, the food is delicious and the service is always good.
Just nice place to take women on a date. Would make time to go again.
Food was just okay. Nothing to rave about. Inexperienced servers.
My husbands Birthday!
Very pleasantly surprised at how nice the place is and the food was excellent. Grapefruit mimosa was yummy!!! And the server Jaime was a pleasure!!!!
Amazing time as always! The server, I think Chris? Was so great, very attentive and cared about the occasion we came for. Went above and beyond to celebrate my moms birthday. The food is AMAZING. Overall, amazing time!! Always go to Whalers !
Food was absolutely amazing. Service was great…so was the view of the marina. No complaints. Will definitely be back.
Sunday brunch was delicious. Several options to choose from. Excellent all around
Beautiful setting on the water. The food and drinks were delicious. Our waiter was wonderful. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and gave terrific recommendations of both the food and drinks. We will definitely be returning!
We had a wonderful experience. Probably the best chicken wings I ever had in my entire life. Great cocktail selection.
The food choices were great and my waitress Jesse was very nice and attentive. I will definitely be back.
Food was really good. Had brunch and one of the meals was eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was very good, lemony, right thickness. We also had French toast and it was right portion and good bread. I thinkbit is a bit pricey but overall good.
Our server was so attentive & sweet. The atmosphere was beautiful for a sunny Saturday brunch. We both had the calamari for an appetizer. I had the lobster roll & fries and my boyfriend had the steak & eggs. We both loved our entrees and would definitely return!
Great location, great wait staff, great food.
Enjoyed a delicious lunch on the deck. Our server was Maria, and she was awesome. Some of our favorites were the KOREAN DOUBLE FRIED CHICKEN WINGS in the garlic soy with sesame sauce, SWEET CHILI GLAZED CALAMARI, CHICKEN KATSU CLUB, and the mango crème brûlée. Looking forward to our next visit.
The food was passable, but not memorable. The service was solid. The noise upstairs was unreal loud. We nearly walked out. Couldn't converse at all.
My bday brunch was beautiful with a few of my closest friends
Excellent food and beautiful view !
Very disappointing. I have eaten at Whaler's before and had a good experience, however, this was just bad all around. I understand having a rough night but too many things happened that made me never want to go there again. 1st, our reservation was at 8:00 pm. We got there at 7:55 to find the table not ready. Ok, thats is no big deal. So we went to the bar where we waited 15 minutes to just put in a drink order, another 10 minutes to get our 1st drink. Keep in mind, there were only 10 other people at the bar. When we were told our table was ready, we found that the table still had food all over the table. As I went to speak to the hostess, I was told they were very busy today and essentially made me feel as if I was unimportant. I go back to my table to find my guest id cleaning the table because the waitress thought using a small cocktail napkin would have been good enough to clean the food off the table that was left behind. Even after her "wiping" down the table, there was still lettuce and meat on the table. My guest starting cleaning the table himself. There were no , "we are sorry for the inconvenience" , or anything that made me feel as a guest that made we want to stay. We left, went across the street to the Lakehouse, and had a wonderful experience there. The way everything was handled was not professional and I refused to spend my money there.
It was our first time there. We really enjoyed it!
Jessie was a great server! She was friendly, attentive and she recommended some great food and drink options! We will definitely be back! Thanks Jessie!!
This was the first time we dined there. We've been to the Lake House just across the street which we like very much.
Whalers was as good with slightly lower prices. The ambience was casual. The inside of the restaurant looked more formal and very comfortable.
The menu tends more to seafood than at the Lake House.
We sat outside which, thanks to a pleasant evening worked out well. Service was excellent.
We were four and each had a different entry. We all thought the food was very good.
As it turns out we will be there again this coming Saturday.
The outdoor dining area over looking the water is very nice, but the day we dined there, there were very aggressive bees that harassed us during our meal. The food was good and the service was fine, but the bees really made it hard to enjoy our dining experience. Also, be aware that the restaurant has about 12 parking spots and if they are full you will have to use the metered parking.
Food was delicious but pricey. Loved the decor. Being next to Marina a plus.
We had a 2 pm reservation. It was a beautiful day so I understand the wait time for outdoor dining would be a bit longer than expected. The hostess was wonderful and told us it would be a 15-20 min wait. We decided to get a drink at bar. Hostess updated us at 230 pm and said the table we were waiting for had received their check but weren’t leaving. We gave it 10 more minutes at 240 the hostess seated us upstairs indoors which had pretty loud acoustics and it was difficult to hold a conversation. We waited at table another 10 minutes without service and the outdoor table opened up so I ran back downstairs and asked hostess if we could move she said absolutely snd would have it “bussed” immediately. We then moved ourselves out there and a waitress approached and asked if we just sat ourselves . I explained. It was then another 10 min before a waiter approached us. We ordered apps and meals at same time due to how long the process was. We waited at least 30 min before food came out and I had to ask for utensils and napkins bc they were not at table. The food was delicious.
Great experience! Just overwhelmed with the bees that took over the table
