   Loved the food, the service, the aesthetic of the restaurant. Due to the layout of the place it’s unfortunately pretty loud but I don’t think there’s much to do about that. Hey, it means people like being there. We’ll definitely be back!

   Definitely need to come back! Food was so delicious and reasonably priced for what seems to be a high class fancy place. I made reservations 3 months out since I heard it was that backed up. Now it makes sense. Definitely worth the wait.

   Ramen was really good, I don’t have anything to compare it to other than Top Ramen - bit it was only $22 and tasty. The restaurant is beautiful and a lovely addition to the Anchorage dining scene. Service was fantastic.

   Really beautiful space and interesting concept but it is so loud you have to yell to have a conversation with the people at your table. The menu is small - and every ramen dish has pork in it.

   Food, cocktails and wine were excellent, as was the service. Only things that could have been better would be more vegetarian or pescatarian options and less noise where we were seated. It was a bit difficult to carry on a conversation.

    Mostly enjoyed our visit and the ramen was top notch again. The one negative was the flow of drinks and food coming out. Sometimes it seemed timely, sometimes it did not. Ordered several apps and several drinks, included the Scotch Tamago and the other apps came out fairly quickly but the Scotch Tamago didn't show up until AFTER we were done with our main course (the ramen). Not sure if it was a kitchen issue or server issue or what. To be fair, the server did make it right. And it was delicious, but was a bummer since by the end we were kind of over it.

    The food was bland and not seasoned well. This was my second time there and I wasn’t all that impressed the first time but figured I would give it another shot since some friends wanted to go.

    We had a reservation, arrived early but was told they were running behind even though we saw several empty tables. When we were seated we were seated at a small table, I told the hostess that we like to sit side by side and asked if we could have the table next to us. She said no, it was reserved but we could squeeze in our small table on the booth side, side by side. We did that, and we were there for two hours and no one ever was seated at the table we requested. This time we were seated in the loud, bright seating area so the evening wasn't as nice as our first time when we were seated in the bar area. However, our server was fabulous, the drinks were amazing and the food was delicious.

    I really enjoyed the whiskey and the food. This place is a little pricier and there is a wait if you don't have a reservation but overall the food was great, the waiter was amazing and we are already trying to book another reservation to go back.

    There was a private party in the room with the cowboy picture. It was distracting how loud they were. Other than that amazing as always Jarad is awesome. Props to him!

    The cocktails and whiskey selection were on point! However, having lived in Japan and experiencing Japanese ramen, I was disappointed with the ramen. My husband, who hasn’t experienced ramen from Japan thought it was good so it could just be my preference for simple authentic ramen. The scotch egg was also very tasty. Despite my disappointment with the ramen, I will definitely go back for cocktails!

    Food, service, and ambiance are all amazing! The Hook ramen is delicious! Unfortunately the location is terrible! Downtown Anchorage is a ghost town expect for the numerous homeless people on the streets surrounding the restaurant. We went for dinner Sunday at 6pm. Someone was getting arrested right outside was we were walking in. Then we got harassed and heckled by a homeless women as we walked back to our vehicle after dinner. She banged on our vehicle window and smeared food on it. It's dangerous and bad enough that I think the restaurant should offer a security escort back to vehicles. Because of this we will most likely not be back.

    Great dinner. Cocktails were very good and fun to try. We loved the appetizers (pork buns, chicken wings, and scotch egg). Will definitely go again. Service was excellent.

    My husband and I came here for a date night and we have been waiting for MONTHS! It was totally worth the wait. From our waiter, to the drinks and food. Everything was pretty perfect. It can get pretty costly but the quality was there. Highly recommend!
