I had even asked for a quiet table on my reservation and there were some areas of the restaurant that would have been better. Turn down the music please...

The food was okay but the restaurant is too noisy, especially due to loud music. Moreover our waitress was tense and pretty rude throughout. There was also a weird fight between her and another waiter, where she yelled at him for some reason and he apologized to us for her rudeness.

The seving staff were really kind but the person who welcomed us at the door was rude and unfriendly. He told me we were late and that he had given away the table he had reserved for us, indicating that we wld have to now have a less nice one! I pointed out that we were only 7 mins late and the booking said we had a little margin on arrival time. He agreed, but said we were nevertheless late so we had lost our table. Almost comically unfriendly for someone working on the front of house... I was almost minded to leave. Luckily the serving staff upstairs were lovely and we soon forgot the bad welcome

I have loved this place since a friend introduced it to me years ago. I make it a point to come every time I visit Montreal. The veal parmigiana and basil pesto pasta are delicious!! Great place, well sized and professional and friendly wait staff.

Worth every traffic effort, every difficult decision-making from so many good restaurants, every effort imaginable! We will be going back next time we come to Montreal with NO hesitation. The staff are authentically charming, considerate of our every need, and happy to be working together--we had fun just watching them all work!
