This is a perfect place for pre-theatre dining, located across the street from the Kentucky Center for the Arts. The speakeasy feel, delicious food and wonderful server has brought me back several times.

The Wild Swann is an awesome restaurant in the basement of The Grady Hotel. It is what I'd refer to as a very cool, nostalgic "Speakeasy" restaurant and bar. As expected, a great many selections of bourbon, brews and mixed cocktails! Try the Michter's, loved it! Josh our Server suggested it and it was amazing! We had the Steak and Frites and they were delicious! We also stayed at The Grady Hotel in an upper riverview room. It was a super nice posh, boutique hotel right next to the Kentucky Performing Arts Center.

The dining room / bar area was really nice with a super cool vibe. That's about as far as the compliments can go.... With only one other table occupied at our 9:15 reservation time, the hostess decided to seat us directly beside the other guest.... Hostess was kinda rude and was gone before we had taken our seat. After viewing the 10 page drink menu, the main dinner menu was 4 items, mahi, pork chop, cheeseburger, and chicken strips... Unfortunately, they were out of steak, for the steak frites.... We asked if the online menu was out of date and the waitress confirmed. ... Not a great impression for us, so we wouldn't go back.

While a lovely restaurant, it was not at all as advertised. The menu was extremely limited. When asked why it was different then the online menu, the waitress couldn’t answer. Food otherwise tasty.

We went to Wild Swann before a concert downtown. The look of the place was very cool, and it was very quiet and comfortable inside. Our food and drinks were great! I had the mahi ($22) and it was perfectly done. Our table also ordered the flatbread and the steak. We enjoyed it all! I would highly recommend Wild Swann!

This was a lucky decision for us before attending To Kill a Mockingbird Broadway Series. We had been here in the past and when I saw they had an open reservation I immediately grabbed it. Everything about this restaurant was wonderful. We, a party of 4, enjoyed various dishes: salads, soup, entrees, small plates and drinks . All the food was delicious and we’ll prepared. This gem of a restaurant will be high on our list of downtown dining from now on. Beautiful space, excellent service and care of all involved made for a special evening. The ability to have a lovely meal right next door to the Ky Center for the Arts was such a treat. Thank you!

The atmosphere was amazing! We had a corner booth that was tucked away from the main dining area, which was extremely cozy. Even the noise level in the main area was low. The food was excellent apart from needing a touch more seasoning (bring your pocket salt).

Wow! We loved our experience at Wild Swann! We sat at a four top that was nestled in the back wall. It couldn't have been more perfect. Felt like VIP status. The cheese and charcuterie board was divine but needed two orders of extra bread. The cauliflower steak was tasty and not too filling after the hearty cheese/charcuterie board. The cheesecake had Biscoff cookie crust or filling and I was dying over it. We will definitely return! Oh and the bartender even made me a brandy Alexander for dessert. I was in heaven. Thank you, Wild Swann!

We're a couple from out of town and found this to be perfect for a quiet early dinner and drinks. It is in a great location in a charming boutique hotel with great ambience. The service was good - knowledgeable, friendly, and there when needed. There is an extensive drink menu, and the food was outstanding. The bacon wrapped dates and cheesecake were the best ever. We also highly recommend the charcuterie board. We'd go back and recommend it to others.

The gentleman at the door was fantastic. Super helpful and very nice. Very cool place. Drinks are a tad pricey - but that is Louisville. Food was good - he recommended the chicken sliders and it was a surprisingly good recommendation.

Wonderful service with friendly, welcoming staff. The menu is limited in the number off options but is diverse so there would be something for all. This was our second time dining there and all that we have had is very well prepared. Highly recommend for a nice casual night out.

We were celebrating my sister defending her PHd dissertation, and I had an absolute great time! Our waitress was very inviting and the ambience was impeccable! I was a little upset that the lamb chops were no longer available, but I still had a great time! I’ll definitely be back!

It took a good 10-15 minute before our server greeted us. Drinks took another 10 min or so. Some of the entrees came out fine. Mine came out cold. The server was underwhelming. It’s a restaurant with style that Lousiville needs and the food tastes pretty good- I’m sure it would have been way better hot. Not impressed by first experience there but I’d give them a second chance.

Service was not great unfortunately. The waitress was just ready to go home, and that was made obvious. Upon making reservations, it was asked what the occasion was for. So, I selected “birthday” since it was for my birthday, but I’m not sure why, because there was no acknowledgement of it whatsoever. So, that was a littler disappointing. However, the food was absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere is excellent as well and this place has tremendous potential, but unfortunately, our experience was mediocre at best due to feeling like we were a burden.

Long way to go, maybe go back for second try. I can only assume they are brand new place based on limited ratings on OpenTable. Place was close to empty, and only one server, which makes sense I guess, given traffic. Had very limited menu (which we knew going in and fine with), of which 80% they we our of, so we only had 2 options to choose from. At that point tempted to leave, but it was late on Saturday and few other options. We will say the food we had was good, and the atmosphere of the restaurant and upstairs hotel lobby are outstanding. But with limited menu options, little service, and it’s also pretty expensive for what you get (quality and portions), hard to say we will be back. Maybe go back for only a drink sometime given the cool atmosphere.
