Caesar salad was unique, very good dressing
We had 3 different cuts of steak ordered at our table. 2 done perfectly , the third grossly overdone. When this was pointed out to server it was acknowledged and apologized for , replaced reasonably promptly and free desert given.
That is the way to deal with shortcomings.
Desert baked cheesecake was excellent.
Overall will return and would recommend.
Great selection of food, both in appetizers and mains, my first time there but would definitely recommend.
We used a gift certificate for our date night last week, and we had a nice time. Other then our amazing server who was so happy and bubbly there was nothing that wowed. us. The New England Clam chowder was watery and not much flavor, no chunks of anything in it except what seemed to be 1 potato. The Caesar Salad was good, and I liked the eggless dressing, it was tangy and full of flavor, different but it worked. The Mussels my husband had were okay, flavours were a little strange, but he said it was ok. His striploin steak was good, nothing special or amazing. I did love my salmon, it had lots of flavour and wasn't too fishy. Overall it was good, just glad we were not paying the high prices for what we got. Not sure we would choose to eat there again, as we both felt for the price it wasn't worth it.
All great except it was a 70th birthday and nothing was done. Was asked if it was a special occasion when we booked with opentable and again when we were seated. Why ask if you do not intend to do anything? Our server was great...we only downgraded the service rating because of the above.
Reservation through open table for our party of 4 was not recognized. Waited 20min for a table. Hostess sat us but we passed a square booth on the way. Asked if we could have the booth, she said yes but it just needed to be cleaned. She had it cleaned while we waited then another hostess sat a different party of 2 there. Little mix up. Sat at a round booth shortly after that. Food cold. Glazed pork was supposed to be medium but was well done and dry, however tasty. Trout special portion was small but the girls were content. Owner was acting as bartender. Drinks not up to par. Too much ice although they did comp me a drink, when I indicated I was not happy with first one. Thank you! The B52 specialty coffee was not a full mug but was very good. I feel the prices are a bit high for the quality and portion sizes. Ambiance, decor and cleanliness is very good. Our waiter was quite good just delays in getting drinks and water. Overall experience was ok! We typically tip 20% and this night we still did. I believe the restraint was full and very busy due to Valentines weekend. This could be why everything was sub par. Will I go back or recommend? Not for some time.
We are regulars at Wildfire and always enjoy our experience there. Kevin always treats us very well.
The food was incredible, and so was the service. Super friendly, and the restaurant was fairly quiet because we dined late.
My husband and I have been going to Wildfire for almost 10 years - it's our fav spot for our date night, special events and w/ friends. Staff and food are excellent and at this point recognize us when we arrive. Please keep doing what you guys do best - making every meal amazing :)
For New Years Eve, the service and food was excellent. Highly recommend.
This restaurant was booked for a Christmas Eve family dinner through the OpenTable app. The whole family got dressed up and drove to St Catharines just to find the restaurant CLOSED. What a horrible disappointment and wait of time. Not to mention scrambling to find an alternative place to eat at dinner time on Christmas Eve.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- very good
I brought clients here and we all had a great experience , the food was outstanding and staff really made it a prefect luncheon. thank you and for sure I'll return .
Sour dough bread was excellent, appetizer was good but main course lacked taste and was not hot.
Appetizer cold. Baked Brie not baked. Long wait in between courses. Restaurant was busy but service was slow
Waitress was outstanding. Went for a birthday lunch. Say by the fireplace. All very good
Our experience was good, not great. Food is a bit pricey, quality good, not great. Service was adequate, once again not great. Server seemed to not want to spend anymore time than was necessary.
By word of mouth, was told by a co-worker that Wildfire was BETTER tasting & selection compared to "The Keg". Well YES IT IS! Sorry Keg, Hello "Wildfire" Try Wildfire, you'll not regret it.
Food and dining experience is always top notch! We come 3-4 times a year.
mid week afternoon and our server seemed more annoyed than happy to be serving us. Food was just okay some people dishes too dry the meat while others too much sauce
My husband and I went to your restaurant on October 6th and it was our first time and we were not happy at all the food wasn't what we were hoping for at all first of all there was a chicken wing in my pasta and the waitress was not concerned at all she just asked me if I hurt my teeth? I was told because I didn't want the meat in my pasta I was told it would be a few dollars for the chicken but I was still charged $9 even with the chicken wing thrown in. The rest of our meal was very tasteless. We didn't enjoy My hubbies birthday dinner at all it's too bad we were looking forward to eating at your restaurant and but no more.
First time back to Wildfire and it was good. My steak was excellent but my wife's steak did not seem up to the usual standard at Wildfire. It was on the grisly side. Side dishes were excellent and brie cheese appetizer was also perfectly prepared with great presentation. The restaurant was very busy this particular Saturday night. The service was ok but server could slow down a little to make sure they understand the order correctly. Felt like we were being rushed a little. Will be back again at some point though still not my "go to" for steaks in town.
Both our steaks were overcooked. They could not meet our vegetable sides request. They didn't really read our special requests on our reservation - they initially wanted to seat us in a booth when we had specifically asked for a table, no booth. We had requested a particular server; they sent him home early because it wasn't busy and sprung it on us when we showed up. Don't get me wrong, the servers were lovely and very apologetic (they offered to replace my steak but we had already waited some time to be served) and they did give my husband a piece of cake for his birthday. We've been dining here for about 15 years and this was our first disappointing visit so we will try again.
Restaurant was close so I could not experience it. Would have been nice to be notified when I made my reservation. So disappointed.
Food was great service was a bit on the slow side. Not very busy at the time
My husband and I are on Keto and they fully accommodated us - don’t find that too often! Great food and great staff!
Will be back soon!
Great for outdoor dining!
Service was great and food was excellent. We had forgotten how fresh and perfectly prepared steak and lobster should taste. It was nice to be reminded how good it is.
The open kitchen view and food were both fantastic. Our waitress was personable attentive and all while being quite busy. Everything was wonderful. We both have restaurant/hospitality backgrounds and had no complaints for my birthday dinner. One gleaming point though with front of house hostess. Toss the gum. Watching her green gum bounce around her mouth was a poor choice for first impressions. This was our best visit thus far. We were short on time and had no worries or plan changes. The service was timed out perfectly. Thanks for a wonderful bday experience
We heard of a few negative comments and my wife experienced one at a Christmas get together so we were a little apprehensive. The service was great, the waiter(Mike) was excellent, the food was delicious and that dinner for two which included a lobster was wonderful. A very pleasant and wonderful experience.
Good menu lots of choices. Nice wine list, not over priced, also good beer selection. Prime rib and steak were both perfectly done. Lots of options for sides. Comfortable and quiet on our visit.
Ran out of Prime Rib before 7:30. Restaurant was half full and our table was not ready had to prepare when we arrived. Steak was just okay potato burnt on bottom. Waitress who’s name was “Heavenly” was wonderful she was the best part of the evening. Prices are way too high for food quality. We did not use any promotional coupon for meal . Disappointed. Will not return.
The food was good. Service attentive.
We shared a pizza for appetizer. It was very tasty.
The chicken Frangelico very good. The rack of lamb very tasty if pricey but it was a full rack cooked perfectly.
Disappointed. Remember this place as a great place to eat. Had not been back for several years. It was a Friday night at 6:30 and we were one of perhaps 5 or 6 tables being served. The food arrived quickly and the service was friendly. The food overall was not good. The pizza lacked flavour, the appetizer was awful - did not finish. Too bad, it was a great place to eat at one time.
This was an opportunity to put Wildfire back in our good graces after a couple of poor dining experiences over the last couple of years. We really enjoyed the overall dinner this time as the everything was well prepared, plentiful, and hot.
Service was outstanding!
We weren’t rushed or pressured and made to feel very welcomed.
Atmosphere was good - able to have conversations at the table - enjoyed it very much.
Daniel was our server and he was charming and attentive. The food was excellent, portions were decent and well presented.
The best thing about our visit was our waiter's friendliness. There is an open kitchen. Majority of seating is in a sunken area. There are booths available. It is not upscale.
Our table was not ready. Service was very slow from start to finish, but we were there with another couple so we didn't mind.
Feel food is overpriced for the quality thereof. Steaks and salmon were fine. Vegetables consisted of one very large piece of broccoli and shredded carrots. The rice was very good. Dessert was good.
Wine prices per bottle were reasonable. The Wayne Gretzky Chardonnay was very good. Beer selection is average.
We would not return.
Mike, the night Manager, who served us, was exceptionally helpful and friendly! Food was delicious!
First time at the establishment..
disappointed in the quality, preparation of food; stuffed mushrooms undercooked, veggies undercook (raw) Steak ok; Onion soup, blueberry cheesecake were good. The server was friendly and efficient ..
It was very noisy, hard to hear people at the same table..
Our waitress was very friendly and very attentive. The steak we ordered was excellent, however, the lobster tail was over cooked and dry.
