British
The Wildflowers English Tea Room, in Broomfield, serves traditional British baked goods to accompany a grand tea service, with meals as delicious as they are elegant. In this sophisticated tea room, you have three choices of service – the prince or princess tea for children 9 years of age and under and the high tea, for the rest of us. The Wildflowers English Tea Room's prince and princess tea services include homemade scones with sweet and rich Devonshire clotted cream and jam, followed by a “tea tower” filled with beautiful, bite-sized pastries and sandwiches and a glass of sparkling cider. The high tea service for adults includes the same as the prince and princess teas, except it is crafted for adult appetites and includes bottomless tea and the choice of champagne instead of sparkling cider. The Wildflowers English Tea Room is an excellent choice for a bridal party and many other special events.

This was a great find in terms of a traditional British pub and dining menu. Unfortunately, the food lived up to the British stereotype - decidedly bland. I'm not British, so maybe it was authentic, I don't know. I just know that, while not bad, the meal we had was nothing special. The pub, on the other hand, was amazing. If you are into whisky at all, you need to check it out. Next time, I think I'll be doing a whisky flight with something off the pub menu.

I brought my wife to Wildflowers Restaurant for Mother's Day lunch on Friday since the kids were in school. We were promptly greeted at the door and found that the restaurant already had our table set for us. It took a few minutes before the waitress came over, but she was very pleasant and explained to me what a banger was when I asked. I had the "steak and stout" and it was very good! I was like a steak pot pie with a strong gravy. I also had a pot of Earl Grey tea. For dessert, I tried the English Trifle - awesome! The other thing I noticed is that I place my reservation through Open Table and someone from the restaurant called me within five minutes to confirm my reservation.

If you go to the Wildflower Cafe, yes. This little gem is on the road to the Jefferson County Airport, tucked inside the Hilltop Inn--conveniently tucked away on top of the hill. If you read the menu before you come you might expect to be served slightly dreary and bland traditional English pub/cafe food. It's traditional English but there is nothing dreary or bland about the chicken mushroom pie. I scrapped up most of the delicate sauce with my chips and refrained from licking the bowl to get the last. Service was attentive but not smothering. They clearly are proud of what they offer and enjoy sharing. They also have a selection of nice teas and for the evening an extensive list of whiskeys.

I cannot vouch for the authenticity of the food -- labelled "authentic British" -- as I have never been "across the pond", but it is delicious! The menu is a travelogue of the British Isles, with everything from Prime Rib to Shepherd's Pie to Fish and Chips. There is a vegetarian selection, too. They boast an amazing list of British beers and ales, as well as Scotch and Whiskey; wine and cocktails, too. And don't miss the house-made "crisps" (potato chips to us Yanks). They are melt-in-your mouth delectable.

I enjoyed the ambience and personal, friendly service. It was my first time at the Wildflower and was happy to find a restaurant that wasn't a formula like some of the chains. I felt like I was back in England having dinner at a local spot. The food was pretty good, but it was the great service and charm that made the evening special.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a co-worker of my husbands. We were looking for a great place to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary. Our daughter was able to celebrate with us. We had nothing but a fantastic experience from the time we entered the doors to the restaurant. John seated us and waited on us hand and foot (so the saying goes). We will definitely recommend this restaurant to others and will be back again to enjoy the whole experience. Thanks for a wonderful 31st Anniversary dinner experience!

The selection of teas was outstanding! The taste even better. We loved the setting. It took us back to our trip to England. However, the place is small and when more than a few people dine the noise level is not relaxing. We went hoping to relax, stay a while and reminisce. However, because of the noise level we could not enjoy our stay. The food is outstanding. The service is fantastic. The waitresses were very accommodating and friendly. I believe a private room needs to be added for special groups celebrating. We will definitely go again and call ahead to make certain there are no group parties.

We had a wonderful time in this hidden gem of a restaurant. We arrived earlier than our reservation and were seated right away. The hostess explained they were tending to a large party and since our reservations were not until later, someone would be with us shortly after they settled the large group. We didn't mind and we never felt rushed or forgotten. It is a small place and timing of tables is essential since it is all freshly made. Will definitely return!

This restaurant is a "sleeper" -- one of those "off the beaten tack" gems that's hidden from the main street crowd -- which makes it special and unique. We loved the English flare and menu -- four of us ordered different meals and none of us were disappointed. I highly recommend Wildflowers for a great meal and relaxing dining experience. The two, young ladies that served us were very pleasant and attentive. For sure, we'll be back!

My partner and I went to Wildflowers on whim after a quick Google search. We were totally impressed! The food was plentiful and delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful. We had the Queen-size corned beef and cabbage and the Shepard's pie. We both took home leftovers. We also had the Yorkshire pudding and split pea soup, each was equally tasty. We'll definitely be going back!

I have lived in Broomfield over 20 years. I did not know this restaurant was even here! This is a fantastic little restaurant specializing in British cuisine. Our server Emily was fantastic. She was gracious, knowledgable and had a great sense of humor. I had Yorkshire pudding. It was very delicious but I do not have a point of reference on this one. I also had creamy carrot curry soup which was surprisingly good. My main course was fish and chips. The "chips" were nothing special but the fish was light crisp and robust. I would highly recommend Wildflowers.

For people who can't stomach the "chain" restaurants any longer, Wildflowers is worth a visit. Having lived in Europe for many years, I was delighted to find this restaurant that not only has delicious (homemade) food and excellent service, but also allows you to spend as much time as you'd like talking with your guests. They are not constantly interrupting the conversation to usher you out the door so the next party (and tip!) can be seated. If you are looking for an off the beaten path kind of place, and so close to home (I live in Westminster), then Wildflowers will not disappoint. It helps to be familiar with UK fare to truly appreciate the quality of the meals served here but not necessarily a 'must'.

We had no idea that tucked away where I had previously thought no restaurants existed, such a gem was hidden! The servers were knowledgable, fun and very spirited. The food was excellent authentic British fare, and the Whisky selection was perhaps the best I've found in Denver. The decor is exactly what you'd expect if your grandmother was British and she turned her house into a restaurant. But the food/drinks/service made this a place to return to again and again.

We were disappointed during this visit. My sister and I like to have the high noon tea at Wildflowers when she comes to visit once a year. We've always loved it but this time things were different. Instead of having the teapots on the table we had to wait for the waitress to refill our cups. When we asked for Earl Grey tea the waitress said she would have to brew it and acted as though this would be an inconvenience so we decided to stick to the tea she offered.

A friend and I have been meeting at the Wildflower for about 3 years because it's halfway between our homes. This was the best experience we've had with the tea. We really liked the "tea lady" who was so knowledgeable. Her accent added a special touch:-) We'll happily go back again specifically for the luncheon tea. Planning to meet other friends from the North there soon.

Our first experience at Wildflowers but it will not be our last. We went there to celebrate our engagement and it was wonderful. The service was excellent and friendly. The food was just like we were in a restaurant in England. It was fresh and plentiful. My fiancé had the Bangers and Mash while I had the Cottage Pie. Both were tasty and filling. He fell in love with the Yorkshire Pudding. We will go back for sure.

We arrived at six on a Friday night and found only one family dining besides us; it was quiet but the music made is very nice for that first hour. The decor and set up is pleasant. It feels like a lovely tearoom. This is our first try at British food in Colorado and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The service was very good and willing to explain anything. The food was exceptional and my partner and I plan to return. It cost us about $70 for a four course meal with tea to drink. At about seven suddenly many people showed up, most with reservations and one couple without but they were seated just fine immediately. Some brought their children which were received just fine. Highly recommend - may change your mind about British food fellow foodies!

Arrived before reservation, but still seated promptly. Had special request for the high tea, which was accommodated easily. Only hiccup was getting decaf tea. Not offered any option, just given a hibiscus, which is not my favorite. The sparkling cider I got in place of champagne was flat. The bottle had obviously been open for too long. Lovely presentation. Great food selection. Gracious service. Romantic setting with quiet refined ambience. Will definitely return.

A small, quiet, cute, and casual place to have high-tea. Has old-cottage feel. Family business. Tea and accompaniments were all good but all of the hors d'oeuvres and desserts on the platter were sweet which got to be overwhelming by the end. Good thing we had the tea to cut the sweetness. Our server was a very nice older man. All in all, a pretty good experience.
