Easter with family.
Everything outstanding. Bring people and they love it. The ambience is magnificent.
The best restaurant in London. The food and service are outstanding. The people I bring are amazed.
There are even selections for vegetarians.
Keep up the good work. Will be back.
Restaurant 91 is an excellent spot for lunch. It is not cheap but the food is very good and the service is very attentive. The atmosphere is wonderful, with a beautiful view in a "tucked away" spot in the city.
There were 4 of us and we all agreed our meals were the best we've had in years. This restaurant is the best kept secret in London. We'll be back, for sure!
The setting for the restaurant is in a quiet forest near the University. The food is expertly prepared and the atmosphere is tranquil. Ask for a table by the window overlooking the trees.
Unfortunately our dining experience was not positive. We sat an hour before even being served bread. Not an ideal situation when you are accompanied by two children aged five and seven! The children’s cheese and crackers served was smoked cheddar and carmelized onion, not a thought through children’s cheese selection from the kitchen. The food when it finally arrived was delicious and the manager was most apologetic with a reduced bill. But by now the children had fallen asleep. Dinners were boxed up for a sad trip home. The evening was a disappointing Birthday family dining celebration for all six members!
Service was outstanding! Our server knew we were in a rush and did everything possible to accommodate that.
Our food was outstanding. The server was extremely rude. We asked to move tables because of the entertainment. She gave us a difficult time about changing tables and there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant at the time. When we actually moved tables, she TOLD us to bring our menus and waters to the new table rather than asking a bus person to do that . She did not tell us the features of the evening, the vegetables she mentioned were included in our food was not what we received. We did not finish our wine because we did not like the Merlot we had chosen, she did not inquire as to why we didn’t finish our wine or offer us another selection. We were married at the Windermere and celebrate our anniversary annually there. We will continue to come because the food is outstanding but will request to never be served by Katherine G again.
Overall we had an awesome time. We went on Saturday for some live jazz music. Great food, great drinks. Would recommend it for anyone looking for an upgraded date night with your sweetie.
I was there a year ago and had a great experience. Not this time. Food was lousy! Had a fellow playing jazz till 9pm was to loud, could not converse. Would not go back.
Decent food quality with acceptable prices, lovely ambiance.
Our lunch was most disappointing. The Service was slow. My meal Fish and Chips was almost uneatable, the 'Chips' were SOGGY and lukewarm, the fish batter was a lightly breaded apology for BEER BATTER ! My colleague ordered a Salad , the Bill, with Tip was Fifty Dollars. Utterly and Completely Exorbitant. We will not be returning or recommending this establishment.
Great view, great food and great service
Had been once before and everything was fantastic. Brought a different friend on my second visit raving about it only to be let down and leaving them questioning why I loved it so much. Seemed it was a miscommunication between staff as to why were ignored for almost 20 minutes before even taking our drinks order. Once we were served the food was great and they seemed extra attentive. No attempt at making it right was made, no discount, no anything really other than a quick explanation and a sorry. Had I not had an awesome experience the first time I would have upped and left though.
Debatable if I'll return.
Good food and service! It wasn't busy at all, but will be once university is back in session.
Excellent place. Prompt but not pushy service. Good portion and presentation. Taste excellent and excellent wine pairing.
We both enjoyed our lunches, mine was quiche and salad and my friend had the perch and salad. Our server was great and very attentive. My friend is hard of hearing and she had much difficulty hearing me across the table once the room began to fill up with patrons. I would suggest tablecloths or something on the walls to deaden the sound as there are all hard surfaces in the restaurant except for the napkins. Will certainly go back.
Delicious scallops and amazing salmon. (Y)
The place could use more variety of non-alcoholic drinks.
Went here for our one year anniversary, and had an amazing time. Service was quick and very professional. Food was outstanding, worth the price tag for its presentation and taste. Highly recommended for special occasions such as anniversaries!
Restaurant 91 has a lovely interior and view of Windermere Manor grounds. The venue is quiet and conducive to conversation, and the service is adequate if not spectacular. The food is decently tasty but not spectacular, and overpriced. Lunch bill for hamburger and fries, three chicken legs and salad, a chocolate dessert, tea and cappuccino plus tip was $75. Worth the trip for ambience, but not otherwise.
I have been here many times for multiple meals and generally always enjoy. This time it was a little off. There was grit in my mussels, the place was half empty ( it was the long weekend) and the lovely a,Bianca usually created by jazz night was overshadowed by families with small children. The gaff then turning on all the lights was our signal it was time to go
From the moment my friend and I entered the restaurant - everything was taken care of. Food was delicious and service was very good, along with the wine recommendation.
The dessert was "to die for"! I have been to eat at Ninety One before and have never been disappointed.
- Olives were microwaved for sure.
- Drinks arrived late.
- Location is beautiful but restaurant is dated.
Oustanding Meal & Services
Booked just prior to EASTER , and was under the impression that Sunday brunch was a buffet.
We were convinced to change our original booking from 12:30 to 1:00, since there were a couple of other large groups, at the same time, and we could get better service later, but that did not happen. People who came later than our group were served their meal before us. We were served our meals an hour after sitting down at the table. Thankful, though for the complimentary pastries, which were very tasty.
Appetizers were good for one of us.
My lamb was COLD!
This is a great spot for a quite meal with friends or business associates. We were there on a Friday night, and a live jazz duet really added to the classy ambience.
Beautiful location and excellent food for Sunday brunch. Attentive server. We will indeed come again.
