   Easy restaurant to enjoy regularly. Staff are always so friendly and the ambiance is comfortable. Brunch was good, but they really stand out for evening dining! I highly recommend ordering the Chefs Roulette. You can’t go wrong - all options are incredible. Including the wine pairings of natural wines

   4 of us had the 5 course dinner roulette which everyone had to participate. It was $55pp. The food was delicious and didn't expect it to mostly consistently asian fusion. The only disappointing thing was that the portion size was very small. To give you an idea, the complimentary bread was 2 dinner rolls shared between 4 people and the 4 of us shared half a chicken for one of the courses, which was extremely hard to portion out. Likewise, another course was a really tasty charred cabbage, but it was about 1/4 cabbage size -- again shared. The food was presented on a single plate so we had to portion everything out ourselves. Needless to say, we were not hungry but we were definitely not satisfied. I do not recommend coming on an empty stomach. That being said, the food really was good, but not sure if $55 was worth it considering we've had a number of prix fixed meals before.

   Potatoes very good The rest mediocre Charged 1.50 for hot water I will still try the 5 course dinner to see why it got such a good review from Alexandra Gill I'll leave the recommendation at yes as there are no other options and I will give it another chance at dinner.

    The flavors were amazing! What a gem of a place - we always stick around our neighborhood to eat but decided to give Winston a try, HIGHLY recommend! Great for a date night! We are going to be heading back to do the Chef's tasting menu next!

    A first visit to Winston and we were very impressed with the creativity and quality of the food as well as the presentation. The 5 course Roulette menu is well worthwhile and you certainly don’t come away hungry. Such a great way to experience the variety and skill of the chef! Small but good wine and cocktail list. Will definitely be back!!

    Wow, wow, wow! Best meal we’ve had in a very long time - years? If I could cook like that, I would be vegetarian! Delicious and very creative dishes. We took the “roulette”, the 5 course menu for $50 and it is very well priced for what you get!! You should absolutely do the roulette! The first 3 courses were vegetarian and absolutely amazing, the fourth course was sashimi (the best I’ve had) and the fifth was a slow roasted beef shank with a twist - so tender and flavorful!! We had the Averill Creek Vineyard white blend and we were very surprised how good it was and it was a great match with all of the dishes we had. The wine selection is very good and our server was very knowledgeable about the wine and the food. I’m a sommelier and I was impressed with his wine recommendations. It is such a treat to have this restaurant in North Vancouver on Lonsdale. We read the amazing Globe and Mail Saturday restaurant review (Saturday, June 11, 2022) and made a reservation right away. So happy we did. This restaurant will be on our weekly rotation and we will take our friends here all the time! Go now before it gets too popular and you won’t be able to get a table!!

    You could tell the food was made with love, so tasty!! It was hot inside though and we had to ask to open the door. Staff was friendly and brought food and drinks quickly! Would go again for sure!

    My return visit to Winston was as wonderful as my first with incredible food and attentive service. This time I brought a friend who was equally impressed with the imaginative and delicious offerings in attractive presentations. Our server was very knowledgeable and patient in her explanations, in taking our order and answering any questions we had. We both will definitely be back for more incredible offerings!

    Tasty brunch fare! We ate upstairs, was quieter than down stairs. Presentation on the plate was underwhelming - a little side of fruit, potatoes or garnish would go a long way. They should consider having jam available for toast at brunch.

    We will be coming back! The chef of this restaurant is genius. He took our many dietary restrictions and produced a fresh, farm to table, seasonal, 5 course meal that would have lineups out the door if it were in Manhattan. His combination of ingredients, seasonings, textures, and his originality produced melt in your mouth flavours with each course. We were full at the end, and still couldn't resist dessert just to see what was in store for us and we were very glad we did so. Even the decaf espresso was best of class. This spot will be on our regular rotation of north shore restaurants for a long time. The service was sincere, kind, and worked very hard. If anything they could have pushed us for more beverages and we'd have taken them up on it! The ambience would suit brunch or a casual night, though the food could fit into any more austere environment. Personally, I love the ambience.

    This place is a gem, we knew nothing about it before we walked in and were so impressed with our meal and the excellent service that I decided to do my first review ever. Give the “Dinner Roulette” a try and you will enjoy 5 courses hand picked for you by the chef. I also recommend asking to have wines paired with each course. I am not vegan or vegetarian, in fact I am quite the opposite, and the vegan courses were so good I didn’t realize I was eating vegan food. Our final two courses included a bolognese and a beef shank that was amazing. Highly recommend Winston for dinner.

    The service at Winston was amazing and so was the food! I love the ambiance of the place with the high-ceilings and little space upstairs. The Fire Roasted Vegetables was surprisingly one of my favourite dishes! The gomae sauce was so tasty and the vegetables were perfectly cooked and sweet. If you’re not vegan/vegetarian, highly recommend adding a size of poached eggs and bacon. I also loved the Beretta Breakfast sandwich, the meat was cooked and seasoned well! Overall a really solid brunch place with a very prime location just steps away from the Lonsdale Shipyards. I’m excited to one day be able to try their dinner roulette!

    Had a wonderful time at Winston! It is very hard for me to find meals that I can eat at most restaurants due to a very restricted diet. At this restaurant, I was able to eat many of their menu items and they even accommodated my restrictions so I could do the dinner roulette. The flavours, presentation and textures of the food were wonderful and I'm sure I will be back for more of some of those sauces. Yum!

    Wonderful! Our servers were both so great and the food was everything we could wish for! We had the basic breakfast and everything from the perfect bacon, avocado covered in sesame seeds, beautifully seasoned potatoes and toasty bread/eggs was awesome. I normally stop in for coffee to go on weekdays so this was our first time sitting in for breakfast and I already cannot wait to go back. We sat at the long communal table and it was just such a cozy vibe.

    Had a wonderful first experience at Winston. The Benny was incredible! A really inviting restaurant with friendly staff, great food and drinks selections. My mimosa was delicious and my girlfriends raved about the Caesars. Will be coming back again without a doubt!....but seriously, the Benny....omg!
