    We had the the most amazing time at the Hydro Majestic Winter Garden High Tea. We celebrated my sisters bridal shower and the food, staff and atmosphere was incredible!

    The Hydro is an incredible venue to appreciate all the Blue Mountains have to offer. The view is best he taking. The high tea is quite standard and dinnerware is basic white. The table service is very responsive. Some adjustments of adding fine china and allowing guests to sit at the table longer than the strict 90min limit would allow for a more enjoyable experience. The cancellation policy is also very strict. We were going for my girlfriends 50th and unexpectedly her husband ended up in hospital the day before, there was no flexibility with rescheduling despite the circumstances, we were instead told to find another friend to fill her place or pay the cost of the meals as a penalty charge.

    Absolutely fantastic! My husband and I ordered one traditional and one eastern high tea and shared, more than enough for our lunch and had some leftovers for dessert after dinner!

    The Gluten Free high tea was outstanding. The sandwiches were perfectly lightly toasted. No bad aftertaste. Tea tasted wonderful. It was a chilly day and sitting close to the window to see the view was uncomfortably cold enough to move away. The glass of water served when we are seated didn’t taste filtered. The waitress said was coming back to get our tea and coffee order but didn’t. We had to ask the waiter who served the food to send someone over to take our drinks order. One of us wanted another coffee but no wait staff ever came over to ask if we were ok and if we needed anything else. We only seen waitress clearing dishes so interrupted them to ask. So basically there would have been no service between getting high tea food served and then dishes cleared. The dining room was not very busy, absolutely calm, perfect smartly decorated and clean. I would go again for sure.

    Best position is a table with open view of the valley. Those closest to the windows may have obstructed views and may tarnish your high tea if part of the occasion is the view.

    The food was absolutely amazing for high tea and would recommend the blossom teas. My reason for not giving 5 stars is I have been here a few times before, and the service was quite lacking this experience. We were on time to our reservation but felt very rushed to get us seated and started. Usually, when you receive the high tea tower, they run you through all the items on the tower. However, they just set the towers on the table and walked away. It was my husbands birthday and on the reservation I mentioned we were going for a birthday they usually give a piece of chocolate that says happy birthday which is a lovely touch but today they didn't despite other tables having this we didn't get this nice touch added by the staff. Also we had someone in our group who was halal they asked the waiter if the food was halal the waiter checked and came back advising us the high tea was halal. However, when the food came it seemed one of the items had pork, so we asked another waiter who confirmed it did actually have pork in it. Despite this, they are mostly minor issues and maybe they were just short on staff. I would still really recommend coming here for the view and food and hopefully the service goes back up to its high standards and we just got unlucky.

    We really enjoyed the high Tea. The food Waa delicious, the views were absolutely stunning. The wait staff were very friendly , the one thing we did notice was that we had to ask for things that we had already asked for. We had asked for tea and coffee to be brought out mid way during the high tea, but we were onto the desserts and they still hadn't brought it out, we had to get the attention of one of the staff and ask for it. But overall we really enjoyed it and would come again.

    Great service and experience. Staff were friendly and our food and tea arrived quickly. Magnificent view, we had a window table and weather was glorious. They also did a happy birthday plate for one of our party, which was a nice surprise.

    We received a gift voucher for the standard weekend Afternoon High Tea experience which we used to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The service was fabulous, with the wait-staff very friendly and helpful, and even suggesting their assistance to take a photograph, before I had asked. The food was great, though whilst we were asked about food allergies, the menu didn't describe the filling of the wrap which something my wife couldn't eat for religious reasons. This is partly our fault for not specifying. The Wintergarden room is fabulous with the ambience set by the live piano soloist playing a nice selection of music. Of course, the view on a sparkling day was incredible!

    View was amazing , food was great and definately came away full. Unfortunately the service was well below average, for the amount of money you pay. We constantly asked for our water to be filled up and asked 4 times for our tea.

    The view from the main dining room is spectacular and the Eastern high tea we ordered was delicious. Sadly this is a restaurant with no service. If you want a waiter to order your food or drink to, or want your plates cleared once you have finished your meal, you will be disappointed. There was simply no waiter actively monitoring and serving our table when I visited this restaurant. To order our meal we had to call someone over. To order an additional drink, we had to call someone over. To have our teas served to us, which were part of the meal, we had to call someone over (and they eventually came after we had finished the food). This is not a cheap meal and I expect the service to be equivalent to what is being charged for the food. I appreciate this restaurant is serving tourists primarily but not everyone coming here are tourists. Sadly as a local I won’t be returning or recommending this place while service is seemingly not part of the dining experience.

    I celebrated my birthday with family and friends at the Hydro recently. The High Tea food was plentiful and delicious. The staff welcoming. Live piano music provided a relaxing yet sophisticated atmosphere. We will be back. Views over the valley were delightful.
