Ordered the redfish and my boyfriend got the Porterhouse, both were absolutely amazing and Augustine, our waiter was knowledgeable and full of recommendations… 100% would visit again the next time we are in Amarillo.

We have been here several times. Most of the time everything is great. This time of the seven people that ordered steak two were very under cooked. The two that were under cooked were ordered medium but came out almost rare. They did come over and tried to correct the situation by taking the steaks back to cook some more but all they managed to do was char the outside of the steak leaving the inside still rare. Service was great as was all the other food and appetizers.

There were 4 of us and they sat us by a big party of younger (19-22) kids doing shots and partying I would suggest party of 4 adults not be seated by such Overall good was great as always

My husband and daughter said they had some of the best steak they have ever had and the Chester sauce on top made the steak! Our service was great!! Sat us right at the time of our reservations!

The food was DELICIOUS! And our waiter was very attentive. However, it was pretty loud and we could barely hear our waiter. We also had to wait about 25 minutes despite having reservations. But the overall experience was good. We’ll definitely go back.

We had a big party (10) on a Friday afternoon and it couldn't have been more PERFECT!! The service was great - efficient and friendly. The appetizers and salads arrived quickly and all our drinks stayed filled. And then the main course arrived and OMG - it was FANTASTIC!!! All 10 of us were impressed with our choices and left full and satisfied! The food at X- is ALWAYS SO GOOD!!!! This is now our go-to place for great food, great service, and a great time all around!! Looking forward to our next visit!

First time customer. The steak was tough as leather and a super thin cut. I had the T-Bone steak. The waitress was not very friendly either. There were four of us and none of us will return.

Very nice place in a newer looking village marketplace type of venue vs a stand alone restaurant. My sirloin was cooked perfectly, very tender and full of flavor, huge baked potato was also cooked perfectly. My Cesar salad was a little skimpy but delicious.

Our server was great. The appetizer was delicious. The potato casserole was good. Our steaks had no seasoning and were tough. The mac-n-cheese was bland. Not worth the $90 we spent on 2.

My son and husband had the ribeyes. Sorry to say they were paper thin. Very disappointing. I had the filet it was very good.

Had reservation so no problem with getting a table. They were not real busy. Atmosphere is sports bar. So could be very noisy at times. Not bad today and not crowded. Service was ok waitress took our order didn’t have a smile. Menu was good variety and portions were decent size. Food was tasty. Wanted another cup of coffee but got our bill instead. Had only eaten half my order felt like we were being rushed out. No parking area except on the street so take your chance. Also no handicap spots. Possible decent outdoor patio area in nice weather.

This is the 2nd time I have made reservations to NOT sot in bar area as both occasions were for birthdays But I was told last night, that unfortunately we had to be moved because of a bigger party was also reserved I will not be back for awhile if ever Basically our smaller party was not important and we could be moved elsewhere The food was ok, we ordered ribeye that was very fatty. I can go elsewhere in town for better food and not be pushed aside

The X- for lunch is a great experience. Fast service and quality food. The Cobb Salad, Burgers, and Fettuccine Alfredo were delicious as always. It’s my go to place for weekend lunch or dinner.

The appetizers were good. The jalapeño poppers probably could have been cleaned a bit more there made them less spicy. The Queso was smooth and creamy. I had the loaded fries for the first time and they stole the show! My steak, my ribeye steak I was not impressed. I have gotten better at chain places like Outback and Texas Roadhouse. First steak was medium+. The second was much better however I ordered the 16oz and it looked really really thin to be 16oz. Note to self: avoid ribeye steak here

Our waitress, Autumn was very good and attentive-her second week. We chose to sit in the bar because it is generally more quiet than the dining room. It was loud for 4:30 timeframe. Our drinks and salad were good and served promptly. Salad was iceberg lettuce, with cheese , tomato and croutons. Cajun Redfish was good and as expected. Husband’s filet was not up to the previous standard of the restaurant. Very stringy cut. Disappointing.

Summary: We enjoyed the food and service was exemplary, we will be back. Details: Not knowing what to expect since it was our first time there, we decided to branch out for our anniv. and try it. We usually go to the Metropolitan down the way, OHMS or Public House for dressy date nights. Since we have seen it several times eating at the Metro, we thought it should be good since it's in this area. We are foodies so we eat anything from a Taco Food truck to some of the top world class chefs restaurants around the world. After seeing the menu, we were after a great prime rib and crabcakes. Not that it's bad but it is VERY casual with shorts and ball caps. Think next level up from Texas Roadhouse vibe. No peanuts on the floor, lol! No ambiance if looking for that. Very clean. I asked for a quiet area, away from bar and kitchen as I had read some reviews it was overly noisy, and it was. She seated us on the opposite dining side, midway back from the kitchen, which was open. The other side was the bar area with TV's The open area concept with concrete floors, brick walls, glass windows and high open ceiling made the noise distracting. It got better by 7:45pm when several groups of 6 or 8 left. Perhaps some drapes between the windows would buffer the sound a bit? I had a great 12 oz prime rib rare with a decent thick cut and a great lobster tail to go with it and baked potato and Caesar salad. Alot of lobster comes out tough but this was great! My wife had a rare 8oz prime rib and still a big piece with the potato casserole and salad and hers was great too. She loved the crabcake! She said she will back just for that. Anthony our server was terrific and brought some super dinner rolls fresh out of oven. The manager checked on us as well, very nice. Desserts seemed nothing special or unique. Disappointed the only cobbler choice was apple. Who picks that? Need cherry and peach. Wife got cheesecake due to tree nut allergy and was great too.

We sat right next to the kitchen, so it was a little loud. The decor is sparse and generic, but comfortable and not overcrowded. Our server was excellent. She checked in with us frequently without being too much; she was warm and friendly, and we felt welcomed. The food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the crab cakes and the seasoning on the prime rib was unique and delicious. The prices are on par with other quality steak houses, and we felt like the delicious food was well worth the price. The managers checked in with us too while we were dining. They have a positive energy that shows with the staff not just the guests. We’ll definitely be back!
