This restaurant was, for lack of a better word, disappointing. Granted, we chose to dine there for Dinner on Thanksgiving, but we still had higher expectations. Apparently, the much advertised room with the glass ceiling was not open so the ambience of the first floor was less than exciting. Best part of the meal was the Starters - delicious Scallion Pancake and Chicken Potstickers. One in our party had a Szechuan dish that she declared outstanding. The Garlic Chicken was bland and not at all "garlicky." Service was perfunctory.

I took a party of 8 business clients to a dinner, and treated them to an authentic Chinese meal. The quality of food was exceptional and most importantly, authentic, despite the fact that I spanned across Cantonese, Shanghainese, and Szechuan cuisines. Service was perfect, and I think this may become a regular thing for me.

We had a wonderful lunch there and the server was particularly pleasant and efficient. The food was terrific but of course we had ordered well. Our soup dumplings were very good and the Orange Blossom Chicken surrounded by steamed broccoli was excellent. Our other dish was one of my favorites, sautéed pea stems in garlic. A lovely lunch before going to the theater nearby across the park. This was my 2nd time there and it won't be the last.

This place I feel is more of a spot for lunch. Because I went here for dinner on a Saturday night and it was dead in there. The food is ok nothing special especially for the price. I’ve had been quality Chinese and at cheaper spots. The service was impeccable. One thing that is off putting is them allowing you to make a reservation right before close and then they rush you to order. I wouldn’t go back but the service were all really nice!!

My husband and I were happy to return to dine here since Covid pandemic. Together with our family & friends we all liked how the interior space was updated, is clean, well spaced and comfortable. All the drinks and dishes we ordered were well presented, nicely portioned for sharing. Everyone liked the food which was delicious and tasted authentic. We shall return.

Have dined here several times. The food is good but not outstanding. Service is exceptional and very attentive. It's a nice looking restaurant but it appears not very popular especially on weekends when we've been there. Do hope they succeed as the owners try hard to please.

After finishing my soup I had to wait at least half an hour for the entree. The waiter said it was because there was a party in the next room. He should have informed me of this at the time I placed my order.

The dining seating area is long and narrow but mostly comfortable. It can be drafty when the entrance door opens. Service is very good. The food was excellent. My family and I will be returning for many meals.

We booked to visit Xu’s very last minute and we are so glad we did! We are visiting from the UK and can honestly say that this was the best Chinese food we have ever had! It was absolutely amazing and combined with the attentive staff, it was just wonderful. We can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!

First visit to Xu's and was well pleased with the food. Service was excellent and accommodating to our request that some of the dishes not be too spicey. As commented by others, on a cold winter night, each time the door opened, a cold blast blew into the dining area. Will definitely return.

Nice sized appetizers & meal portions- yummy scallion pancakes & dumplings. Delicious “dried green bean dish”, the beef & broccoli & the chicken broccoli meals…. Excellent! The beef fried rice was only fair, and a noodle dish was not what we anticipated. Bustling place on Christmas Day, nice ambiance.

Biggest complaint was the cold air coming into the restaurant every time the door was opened. It would be much better if they would seat people upstairs so you aren’t cold while trying to enjoy your dining experience. Other then that the food was very good and the server was very pleasant.
