    The food was great. The restaurant was busy and they may have been short-staffed as service was slow. We were in no hurry, however, and the staff were gracious and friendly. We loved our experience.

    The food and the ambience was good! Service was a bit slow and honestly could be quicker and more attentive however I also know the staff was ultimately very apologetic.

    Yamato is a class establishment. Our experience was a positive one from the friendly welcoming staff to the quality ingredients making up our meal. I recommend a visit for good Sushi and a nice vibe.

    Honestly there is not enough words to describe this place. We ended up going 30 mins late to the booking as there was am accident in Edinburgh so got held up but they still accepted us with open arms. I am very pick when it comes to sushi and asian food as I am tuly obsessed with the cuisine and Yamato truly exceeded ALL expectations ! Every single dish was to die for. I would definitely recommend it to sushi lovers and this will most definitely not be the last time! We will definitely go again !

    Wonderful tasting food with a good range. The sashimi was melt in your mouth good. Friendly and knowledgeable service however, we realised when we got home that one of our dishes hadn't turned up! Would be helpful for waiting staff to read back the order to check for omissions. This won't put us off though and we'll be back to taste the missing octopus fishcakes!

    Excellent food but small portions. Like, small even for this kind of restaurant. Lighting was weird too. Very dark and arranged so that you cast your shadow over your plate. They kept turning some lights on and off too. Not sure what was going on there.

    1st time eating here through the recommendation of a friend. Absolutely delicious! Wonderful tastes & surprises. The brussel sprouts starter my husband loved - even though he normally doesn't like that veg. Thank-you. We will return.
