Yasu is Canada's first Omakase sushi bar. We celebrates the ocean’s best catches and the craft of sushi in its award-winning Toronto eatery; dishes created by Executive Chef and Owner Yasu Ouchi from Osaka, Japan. There is only one menu at Yasu; Omakase style (chef's choice set course) at $185 per person, a Japanese tradition wherein Chef Yasu creates a new menu daily based on the freshest and seasonal seafood available from around the world. The Omakase course consists of approximately 20 items include appetizers, sushi and dessert. An 18% service charge will be added to each bill. We look forward to hosting you!​

    We had several other Omakase experiences. Yasu was ok but not anything unique or special and not my top 5! The saki parings was very simple all the sakis taste similar, compare to my other experiences it was not good. It was not very expensive, but compare to what experience you get, it was not worth it. We will not go back , as it was not anything special

    Outstanding dîner experience: Tasty and incredibly fresh ingredients with a very nice menu composition with changing flavours and textures throughout the evening. The same sampler menu nicely matched the food. We sat in the counter section with the youngest chef serving. He was very knowledgeable, skilled and friendly.

    Overall I had a good time, but it wasn’t an eye-rolling Omakase experience. Plusses include the excellent service. Biggest minus was the value for money. If one is going to pay $700 CAD, it better be top notch.

    Went to Yasu for a birthday dinner celebration and it was worth the price ! Was so FULL by the time we were only half way through ! Had to embarrassingly request for less rice, but everything was delicious. Would definitely come back for special occasions.

    Yasu is one of our favourite dining experiences in Toronto. From the calm way guests are greeted at the door, to the magical experience of witnessing the sushi chefs prepare their masterpieces, Yasu is a blend of Japanese tradition and culinary wizardry. The meaning of Yasu, google it !!! : is a pleasure to experience. 17 courses none of which aren't complimentary to the experience, leave you with a finished feeling of being supremely spoiled. One piece of advice is that if you don't want to fill up too early, ask and the chef, and he will happily comply, to make the sushi with a smaller amount of rice. The price includes tip and tax. One of a kind outstanding example of sheer pelasure for sure. Enjoy 💐

    All dishes are made by 2 chefs. Each chef takes care of around 5-6 guests. I loved the first dish presentation, and they also include some interesting pieces of sushi that are unique to their restaurant

    It was overrated, Girl server made a mistake and gave me uncomfortable face. Like I made a mistake. To be in detail, she put $44 in her machine and got annoyed and asked me that if can you do it again… other wise overall it was good enough, but not to the expected authentic omakase I would come to pay the amount to visit again. Food was good but not good enough to be number #1 I would pay upto $500 per person to experience wanting to revisit kind of omakase.

    If I could give greater than 5 stars I would. The whole experience was amazing. Explanations of what we’re having were great and it was amazing see the sushi chefs at work. Service staff were very attentive. We would recommend this experience to our friends.

    My friends and I are very disappointed. For that price, we expect to have a better quality and more quantity of fish, absolutely not worth the money. Definitely won’t go back or recommend to friends.

    Amazing Omakase Experience! From the start till the end, the service provided by our chef and the server was outstanding. The restaurant, though small, is perfect for the intimate dining experience. Food was incredible, from the presentation to the finest ingredients used during our dinner. I highly reccomend sitting at the counter for the best experience.

    Definitely nice to try and check out as this place is highly talked about! However, you can get high quality sashimi and nigiri at other places for less. Side note, there is an automatic 18% gratuity fee included in your bill!

    Outstanding. We enjoyed every bite and every sip (sake pairings). It is hard to pick a favorite. Fish quality was outstanding. Preparation was very good. Explanations were informative and added to the experience.
