At Yellow Door Taqueria, we are serving up traditional & contemporary Mexican cuisine with a New England Spin. Our traditional tacos each have an individual twist and they're all served on the tortillas we make fresh every morning. We offer a full bar and have a stacked drink menu including several different kinds of Margaritas, an extensive tequila, and mezcal list, as well as carefully craft cocktails. If you're not into the hard stuff, no worries, we have mocktails, Mexican sodas, beer, wine, and more!

This location resides in Boston's South End at the InkBlock apartment community. In addition to being right off of Route 90 and 93, we are steps from SoWa Market, Peter's Park, and so much more! Our original location lives in the heart of Lower Mills, Dorchester.

Guacamole had browning avocados in it and an overwhelming lime flavor. Tortillas were burnt on the edges and resulted in crunchy/undesirable hardness. One of our tacos had avocado slices on them that seemed like they were pre-cut and left out to dry because they were hard and browning. Overall super disappointed in the quality of food for the cost.

I made a reservation for outside on the OpenTable app. When I arrived for the reservation, I was told it was inside. I showed the hostess my reservation for outside on the app and she rudely claimed that wasn't what her computer said and it was incorrect. She offered no options to reconcile this and instead appeared annoyed asking if we "still wanted the table." We had planned to come to Yellow Door for the outdoor dining and were disappointed that our reservation was not honored, nor met with any empathy for the disconnect.

Missed the mark on Cinco de Mayo. I’ve had decent margaritas here before, but they were heavy on the sour mix and pretty much undrinkable that evening. My friend ordered a second, thinking it was a one off, but it absolutely wasn’t. We cut our losses and headed over to Shore Leave, a sushi restaurant of all places, to get a superior margarita.

Absolutely awful service. It was raining outside and they tried to seat us outside in an uncovered patio. My reservation was apparently for outside but it was raining. They did not call to cancel nor did they make it clear they would not shift reservations inside of weather was inclement. The hostess was so rude to my party and would not help us get fit into the indoor schedule so we left. She said it was our fault that we booked the reservation wrong and when I said it’s raining and I booked the reservation a while ago she just kept shouting “I did not make the reservation you did it’s not my fault.” It was so rude. If they had called to cancel before I drove all the way there or if she kindly said she had to have us wait a bit for an I door table it would have been fine but she was so rude it was embarrassing for her. Everyone in the lobby was staring. She did the same thing to the party behind us. Never going there again.

There was a MOUSE running around the restaurant the entire our group was there!!!! The staff was totally nonchalant about it, and after we had paid for our meal, the manager came out and only said sorry about the mouse. They did not offer to comp any part of our meal or offer any other concessions. So gross and will not eat there again.

Good elote, great service, stellar vibes. Each song that came on, my friends and I had to shazam it so that we could add it to our playlist. $6/taco, but worth it with all the meat that came with it. Definitely not a rip off compared to other places. My go to taco restaurant in the South end. Churros were absolute to die for as well. Light, airy, but jampacked full of flavor.

Tacos are flavor packed and filling. Great value too as nearly every taco is $6-$7 and 2 is enough for dinner. The Almost Paradise cocktail was a bit strong for my liking and heavy on the cinnamon. The coconut shrimp taco and carnitas were both amazing! Definitely would recommend.

Great chips and guac. Good portions. Beef taco was great. Churros were delicious but they skimped a bit on the dulce de leche dipping sauce. The main issue was not getting cocktails for 10-15 min. Seems like they need an extra bartender to make cocktails. But wow, that ginger margarita was excellent.

This spot has some of the best tacos in Boston. Corn tortillas are small-ish but that doesnt mean anything when they pile on the fillings / toppings outrageously high. Fantastic drinks and great environment and service! Glad to see them grow beyond the small spot in Dorchester / Quincy!
