Celebrating 30 Years in 2022 - YumYum is an award winning Thai restaurant based in beautifully designed new premises in a grade 2 listed building. Our extensive menu is strictly classical Thai and we have won numerous awards for our food. Aside from that we have deliciously decadent desserts with a Thai twist and an exceptional cocktail list including alcoholic ice teas. You can enjoy all of this at lunchtimes or in the evenings and all day at the weekend in our 250 seat restaurant which features a wooden Thai house, a sunken seating area, a dining room, a lounge bar. Al fresco dining in the garden is also available during the warmer months. We also have Orchid lounge with a private entrance - in our basement for special occasions; with a capacity of 100 people.

The staff were amazing! They were great with my family and grandchildren that liked to be loud and naughty at times. They were very calm with the children and were always ready to help us being attentive. We were one minute left for happy hour and they even rushed to make sure we still received happy hour benefits to our table. From bar staff to service staff and chef, fantastic! We would definitely go back again. I have my wedding coming up next year and would be a great place to take my hens :)

My most favourite part of the booking was Happy hour. Cocktails are fantastic, tasty, made with extreme passion and fun. Good value for money too. Nice chilled relaxing atmosphere and the service was on point and always is. Very efficient staff. Food is tasty and hot and served on very interesting dishes. Very polite and friendly staff also as I had a little issue with my dish and the manager changed it straight away for something else as it had too many veg.

NOT KID FRIENDLY - ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED BY THE OWNER!! Booked this place for my dad’s birthday to enjoy with my family. We were joined with my cousin and her son, 3 years old. My nephew was fairly noisy as kids usually are. We constantly apologised and the restaurant manager and other staff were very accommodating, gave him a colouring book to distract him which we appreciated and worked. My mum and brother decided to take him outside for some fresh air and to quiet him down a bit while the rest of us we rounded up our meal inside. The OWNER proceeded to tell my mum and brother that my 3 year old nephew was no longer allowed back into the restaurant. When I confronted him he said he is too noisy. I never knew that kids were not allowed to be kids. His mother left feeling disheartened and my dad’s birthday dinner was ruined. I was absolutely shocked by the level of disrespect and inconsiderate treatment we faced. Even the restaurant manager came outside with us to apologise. I will never be coming back here and I will advise anyone with kids to not go either as they are not kid friendly at all.

The staff here make you feel so seen. The ambience and the atmosphere is perfect. Non pretentious, warm welcoming delicious food with the best cocktails. This place has the xfactor.

The decor is a little tired now and could do with a revamp or a refresh especially the toilets area and the downstairs lounge too. Cocktails are great ! We really enjoy going to YumYums for their great cocktails menu as they have a good variety on offer. Foods good too ! It’s a shame that they now longer provide the complementary Thai crackers or any after dinner mints with the bill. Just a few touches that they should bring back especially as they rated themselves as a 5star restaurant.

Very rude woman on front desk, she showed us to table and we asked for another one as it was next to the bar and was in a noisy area, she gave us a horrible look as if we had done something wrong, and then just walked of, we came here 5 years ago and all was perfect, on the plus side the food was hot and very nice, won’t be going back again as we find rude behaviour unacceptable..

Booked for my sons last night as a single man , so night before the wedding, I mentioned this on booking and they made a special effort and made him a dessert with congratulations on and his name, food was lovely only thing wasn’t great was the cocktails we had which tasted very watery maybe less ice more taste , but overall we had a great evening and the manager was really friendly

This restaurant is amazing, the ambience is lovely, it’s not too loud there and the decor is beautiful. The food itself was very tasty and the portions are generous. There’s a wide variety of food to select, my partner and I enjoyed a soup dish, salt and pepper squid, stir fried lamb and sea bass with prawn fried rice. Dessert was lovely as well. My only criticism would be that it can be hard to get the attention of staff as the restaurant itself is quite big and divided into different sections, it took two minutes of constant calling to get the bill, but it was a fairly busy evening and the staff were lovely and gave decent recommendations from the menu.

We attended Yum Yum’s yesterday to celebrate my wife’s 65th birthday, despite adding it was a birthday celebration when making the booking this was not picked up on our arrival, to add injury to the insult your staff sang Happy Birthday to the table next to ours, we’ll have to find another restaurant to celebrate her future birthdays.

This for our anniversary meal. I put in a request for it to be known for anniversary and was expecting something a desert plate with happy anniversary on it. We did not get this. Alas the food was still amazing - besides the prawn and chicken toast that tasted undercooked (we did not eat). The pad Thai was my favourite very flavoursome. I have not eaten thai green curry before so to my sunrise it was *chefs kiss*
