My party was at Z Asian on a Sunday night when it was VERY quiet. Only one other couple was there when we arrived. My party shared some street-food appetizers and had various main courses of either Pho or rice/chicken. Everyone enjoyed their food. Since there were so few customers that night, the service was excellent! I would like to try it again.

Really, really enjoyed our meal. Sure, they have all the normal menu staples that you see at most Vietnamese restaurants, but the street food and chef specials are where they shine. I will definitely be back!

Food, environment and staff were excellent. We came in for magical dining and just decided to get the menu items because everything looked too delicious. We had the chicken skewers and salt and pepper shrimp tails for appetizers with a green jalenpeno sauce that was to die for , the chef makes all sauces in house. For dinner we had grilled shrimp vermicelli and seafood special rice noodles.

I came here for Magical Dining but my friend and I decided to go wild instead. Everything we had was great. The summer rolls, mussels, scallops, squid, Pho, vermicelli noodles and the garlic chicken bok choy. We finished it off with the mango mouse cake. I also had the lychee martini and finished off the evening with a coffee martini. The waiter was attentive and gave helpful suggestions. One of the owners, Hien, checked on us frequently and also gave recommendations. The experience was lovely and I can’t wait to return.

A party of four went for magical dining. The food presentation was beautiful. The appetizers were outstanding! All were unbelievably good. The main courses were not as exciting as the appetizers; they were good but not great. (The Pho dish was not ordered.) The Bird Nest was good, lots of seafood, but they used imitation Krab meat instead of real crab, ugh. The desserts were yummy. The service was very good. The restaurant was hard to find, the GPS helped a lot. Enjoy!

The service was wonderful! The staff was attentive and we were treated as if we were the only people in the restaurant. Then the food! From presentation to exquisite flavors... No wonder they are a Michelin Bib Gourmand Restaurant!!! My husband and I ordered different dishes so we could taste and everything was amazing. I had the scallops for appetizer, beef stew, and green tea cheesecake. He had the mussels, seafood nest, and mango mousse. Is your mouth watering yet?

I visited for Magical Dining. The menu options were amazing. I enjoyed the clams steamed in lemongrass broth, filet mignon pho and chocolate mousse cake. Everything was divine. The food presentation and flavors are on point, 5 star experience. The ambience can easily be elevated with some small touches such as a water feature, fairy lights and plants. I’ve eaten in shanties with smart, personal touches and it creates a more powerful experience when the ambience compliments the wonderful meal. Thank you very much for the thoughtfulness you put into your dishes <3

Went for magical dining. There was one server for the entire restaurant and the chef was bartending. We sat for over 30 minutes waiting to have our drinks ordered before walking out. Another table also left mid meal. Won’t be trying to go back.

Z-Asian Vietnamese Kitchen ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Appetizers: Sunrise Scallops- these were delicious! The texture of the scallop was perfect and the house-made cheese sauce was incredible! Plus the presentation was top tier. Zelicious Mussels- yummy mussels, loaded with peanuts and scallions, in a tangy house green sauce. Served in a half shell, what’s not to love? Crispy Quails- this meat had incredible depths of flavor! The skin was crispy, the meat had flavor all the way through. These were fantastic! Entrees: Filet Mignon Pho- the broth had so much flavor! The meat was tender and delicious. This is the most expensive entree on the magical dining menu, full size! Great Value. Bird’s Nest with Chicken- the crispy noodles, garlicky bok choy and rich seafood infused broth were delicious. If you go, get this with the seafood instead of the chicken! I regret not getting the seafood version. Beef Stew- as good as everything was, this was the winning entree. The depths of spicy and tangy flavors in this broth went perfectly with sweet chucks of carrot, tender melt in the mouth beef, and tangy onions. Spectacular. Desserts: Green Tea Cheesecake- it is perfectly exactly what it says it is. Green tea hits the palate first, not overwhelming, then is slowly and subtly overtaken by the flavor cheesecake. You are left with a rich cheesecake note and light refreshing green tea. Chocolate Mousse Cake- rich dark chocolate, perfect velvety mousse. If you’re a chocolate lover you need this. Mango Mousse Cake- undeniably the best thing I put in my mouth all night. The mousse was so soft, a spoon went through it with no effort. The very light, moist sponge base perfectly complimented a sharp mango mousse. I really liked that the mango was flavor wasn’t overly sweet, it still had a lot of its sharpness. All in all, this was an absolutely fantastic Magical Dining experience. I highly recommend making the trip out to downtown for this.

Went for Magical Dining with friends. Not a Michelin restaurant for nothing. Both the Sunrise Scallops and Zelicious Mussels were outstanding different takes on very common starter dishes. I had the Seafood Bird Nest as my main; it was a fantastic chow mein with the crispy noodles soaking up the sauce as I ate it. My dining companions seems to enjoys their mains a well. The desserts: Mango Mousse Cake, Chocolate Mousse Cake and Matcha Green Tea Cheesecake were flavorful and smooth... loved them all! We'll be back to sample more starters and their vegan menu items. Not very crowded for a Saturday night... Please try them out. Highly recommended.

The food here is lovely. I only wis they would offer a better wine list that matches the outstanding food. Unfurtunately the offers are mediocre, which surprised me considering the quality of the food.

My wife and I had dinner there last weekend and thought the food was excellent! They were quite busy and looked a bit short staffed but after taking the order it got into a good rhythm and the dinner progressed nicely. Not a huge wine and beer menu but was excited to see they had cocktails which were quite nice. The "off the menu" scallop appetizer contrary to a previous reviewers comments, I thought were absolutely delicious and Michelin Pre-Party worthy. The rest of the food was executed brilliantly and very tasty. If you are looking for the pre-conceived notion of what a Michelin starred restaurant is, then this is probably not your cup of tea, however if you are looking for great food, reasonably priced (the definition of a Michelin Bib Gourmand rating) then this is a must try. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I decided on this place on a Friday night due to the Michelin guide’s review. The review really highlighted the ambiance, but it would have done better to explain that it was in a strip mall and was okay with what they have to work with. They didn’t have the wines that were listed, but the staff were very friendly. We decided on the street food small plates to share, and they were nothing special. The quail was over cooked, and most everything else lacked flavor. Everything came out too quickly and lead us to think things had been reheated. After we received our food, we received our wine, and then we were suggested to order the scallops, which had just won a Michelin contest in Miami. We turned it down because we didn’t want to spend another 15-20 dollars on a small plate we might not enjoy. I really wanted good food, but I feel most people are happy with substandard food and just don’t know the difference anymore.

Visited here while on vacation with some friends - the food was all amazing and the service was top notch. We come to Orlando a few times a year and will definitely make this place a “must do” - it’s well worth a visit!

Great restaurant, the food is delicious and well presented. The owner who is also the chef takes her time to come To your table and greet you. She shows how much she cares for her dishes and the clients. I am highly recommend this restaurant!

We have eaten in many Asian restaurants in San Francisco, New York and Toronto. This one is among the very best if it is not the best. It is a simple facility in a storefront on a busy street, unappealing from the street. But it is clean, comfortable and attractive inside. The food is original, made in house with fresh ingredients. beautifully served with generous portions. We drank non alcoholic drinks, one a Lychee nut based, the other a strawberry based and then one based on peach flavors. We ordered the third because the first two were so unusual and flavorful that we needed to have another. The shrimp roll was a piece of art beautifully wrapped in a translucent covering showing the shrimp and a green leaf. My whole squid appetize was very large, perfectly sliced to mouth sized pieces and reassembled as a whole squid. Two bowls of soup, one with a duck leg, the other with seafood were made with homemade rice noodles. Delicious flavors and very large portions. We had no room for dessert unfortunately. We highly recommend this restaurant; it is worth a detour for anyone in the Orlando area. We stayed 30 minutes away and went because of a Wall Street Journal article and a Michelin Guide recommendation and were very happy that we did.

We read about Z Asian in the Wall Street Journal and wanted to try something different while visiting from Montana. The restaurant had nice ambience and was quiet. The menu looked terrific and we ordered two things recommended from previous reviews. We had to ask for water, but other than that the service was very attentive.

The overall experience was OK, not great. Had read about the restaurant in the Wall Street Journal‘s recent article, so wanted to check it out while it was not a bad experience, it was nothing special. Unlikely that we will return.

The eggplant in my Pho was raw and, in general, the ingredients were not of a very high quality. That surprised me at this price point and given some of the accolades that this restaurant has received. Otherwise, my spouse and I agreed that our food had good flavor and the portions are decent. It is possible that our server was brand new as he did not know the menu and was not able to answer any questions. New or not, this young man has no business being a server. Water stayed empty, plates were never cleared, and he made my spouse the world's worst Vietnamese coffee.

The owners are extremely friendly and very accommodating. The food very healthy with lots of seafood choices and true Vietnamese dining. We discussed bringing back Vietnamese desserts which they plan to do. Right now the options were cheesecake from another very good bakery. We would go there again and again.

I am new to this type of food and want to learn. Magical dining was a good way to begin and great value. Impressed with the staff and friendliness. The chef also came out and spent time talking to us and this convinced us to come back. This is a very highly rated place. Take a chance and try it.
