   Great first experience Good for special occasions Expensive for us to dine frequently even if we loved the place. We shared an appy main meal dessert tea- and that brought us to almost $100. If we each ordered a meal - yowza But like I said Will be back for amazing cuisine. But have to budget for it Friendly staff from start to finish Loved the food and the I’ll definitely be back

   Wonderfully warm serving staff. The cocktails were inventive and well conceived. Food was excellent with a variety of flavours. Dumplings were very good as were the main courses. The wine list was very well priced. One criticism was they began purposely putting chairs on adjoining tables in preparation for closing while we were finishing our last sips of wine. We had a later reservation and our dining experience was only 1 hour and 35 minutes. We thought they could be more cognizant of that and not prematurely rushed us out the door for the sake of 10 minutes. This seems to be a trend in the restaurant business now post Covid with some poorly trained staff being clumsy with guest service. A restaurant accepting 9pm reservations should allow for up to 2 hours of dining. 11pm is not late for the shuttering of a restaurant. If you want to close at 10:30pm then make your last reservation for 8:30pm. Customer experience is everything and truly great restaurants know this. That being said, I heartily recommend the restaurant.

   We had a very nice experience sitting at the bar area, Winnie one of the owners was tending bar and she was very kind to explain some of the drinks that she was creating, our server Maya was very sweet and gave us her suggestions which all came thru well. We also got to meet Hassib who was the other owner, and he told us his story about the Tres Leche Cake that we devoured!…there’s a reason why the lineups are out the door!

   Our server was super enthusiastic and nice the whole night. We ordered the chilled eggplant, mantu, and braised lamb for 2 people. Honestly could’ve just ordered 2 items as portions were pretty big, but food was too delicious!

   Zarak is incredible. It’s a full dining experience straight from the outset with a lovely warm ambiance and lots of colour and texture. Our server was friendly, funny and did a great job with a complicated 7 person group. Fantastic. Each dish we had was incredible - try the fried chicken, dumplings and anything lamb for sure. The timing was great and had you excited but never waiting too long between courses. The secret cake is TO DIE FOR. This is a lovely restaurant and great value for a whole sense experience.

    Rushed us during our meal and also gave us a “you have 25 minutes left on your reservation” warning. Was not exactly very relaxing dinner. Good portions are smaller than the first time I went there about 6 months ago. What was previously fabulous is now ok….

    Really good food , the Lamb Shank was great , fried chicken appy was also outstanding. we ordered Naan bread and while it was outstanding I prefer it a little thinner so can roll it up with the kebobs and other rice we had. The cocktails were great especially the one with mango in it ..exceptional. We left stuffed and happy so what more could we ask. Great job Zarak

    Amazing food. Nice atmosphere, nice mountain view, although it’s noisy due to interior material selections. My friend and I came for dinner for my birthday. I understand their policy of 1hr45 minutes for the table, but it was felt like we were rushed through a McDonald’s drive through. We got seated, I got a cocktail, we ordered 4 dishes and a bottle of wine. That took some time, then the food came…After 1.5hr, they reminded us to leave while we only finished half of the bottle and lots of food was still on the table. We had no choice had to pack up everything and leave. We didn’t expect to go to a nice restaurant to get kicked out like this. We still left 20% tip for the table although we were not pleased with how they handled this.

    I've lost count of how many times we've eaten at Zarak now -- it's our favourite restaurant in the city! It's become our go-to place for birthdays & anniversaries, or if we have guests in town. The service is always fantastic, the food is delicious, and the drinks are tasty and innovative. This visit, instead of my usual cocktail or mocktail, I had the chai since it was a chilly, snowy day, and it was so good! Great depth of flavour, nice and hot (not just warm), and just the right amount of spice. Thank you Hassib and team!

    I have been trying to come to Zarak for brunch for months but it was always too busy to walk in. Finally made a reservation and my expectations were not let down. The ambiance is amazing. It was an especially cold and snowy day, but the decor and smells inside made you feel like you were taken to the planet of DUNE. All the staff were so welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our server and bartender made wonderful recommendations as we hadn’t been there before and didn’t know what to try. Highly recommend getting the mimosa flight, the NOT an espresso martini, the poached pear French toast, the beef brisket Benny and the chicken and waffles YUM. We will definitely be back for brunch and dinner! Thank you to the whole team at Zarak! Well done!

    Turkish coffee presentation was special! My French toast was the best I have ever tasted 👍 We will definitely be back to try the dinner menu and bring new guests to a repeat of brunch!

    Right from when you enter the door, you are received with a warm welcome. The service was very efficient, and friendly. The restaurant was very busy for brunch, but the noise level was very quiet. Very enjoyable experience. The delicious food left you with a wanting to come back to try another dish.

    Friendly and informative staff, delicious food. Highly recommend any/every lamb dish, the beef dumplings, as well as the paneer with sourdough. Next time we'll explore more of the vegetarian dishes!

    First time visiting Zarak and luckily enough had the dineout menu because it was extended. The fried brussel sprouts were delicious and both of our mains the lamb shank and chicken kebab were cooked to perfection. Our server was very attentive during our service and the ambience was calming and comfortable. Would come back again and try their brunch.

    Ambiance and food was good. My friend’s dish took extremely long to come and so we were waiting on it to start eating. We wanted to take our time to eat and chat but we were rushed out of the restaurant because of the reservation after for our table. I expected better service.

    The food, drinks, service and ambiance was amazing. I enjoyed the whole experience and will come back for the food, however, I did feel rushed to leave after less than 2 hours. Yes, the reservation booking system states that your table is held for 1 hour and 45minutes to 2 hours, however that is not enough time if you are starting with a cocktail, some appies, another cocktail, a main dish, and dessert. I would suggest that reservation times be extended and guests not pressured to leave, as it leaves quite an unpleasant taste in one’s mouth especially after such a delicious meal.
