We look forward to seeing you soon!
Under the direction of celebrated chef José Andrés and his ThinkFoodGroup team, Zaytinya offers an innovative mezze menu inspired by Turkish, Greek and Lebanese cuisines served up in a sleek and modern setting. Building on Jose’s deep knowledge of Mediterranean cooking and years of research and travel, the menu features shared small plates of authentic and innovative fare, creative cocktails, and unique Mediterranean wines, making Zaytinya one of the most exciting restaurants in Washington DC.
The bathrooms were pretty dirty considering such a popular spot.
Wow! The food is incredible. Not one miss. Great for a group because it is Mezze style so you order lots of small plates. The staff is incredible - they have expanded their already extensive patio operations and haven't missed a step in terms of friendly, quick, professional service. As everyone else state - don't skip the apricot yogurt dessert. Amazing list of very well priced wines that you won't find anywhere else. Note that each dish is small so you will order several per person. Expect to pay about what you would pay anywhere for a nice dinner. The restaurant is huge and the indoor seating is very, very loud. Opt for the patio if you can - they have tents, umbrellas and heaters so don't let risk of bad weather deter you.
Tables were too close together, definitely not 6 ft like the menu says. Otherwise great.
Noisy, as always. What with the annoying music playing incessantly and being seated at a table next to some sort of machinery, it wasn't that great an experience. Went for brunch on a Sunday and found the brunch menu to be either pretty meager (one part of the menu) or pretty expensive (the other part). In short: everyday lunch or dinner, fine; Sunday brunch, not so fine.
We were under the tent when a storm came through so we stayed for a long time waiting for the rain to stop. We were not rushed out and had a great time despite the rain! The rose special for brunch was a really good deal and the food was amazing!
The food was simply unimpressive, and some of it was disappointing. The restaurant came as a recommendation from a friend, so we gave it a shot. If you take away the ambiance, you’re left with food that you would not come back for.
I’m not a chef and I can easily say my own octopus has way more flavor, and the falafel was bland and dry.
Food is excellent and service was great! We had a wonderful time
Exciting gathering place. After meeting friends in the city, this was the perfect spot to catch up. Shared food, great tastes, server with a sense of humor and good suggestions. We sat under a breezy Washington sky and ate and talked and renembered and felt well taken care of. Will recommend this spot and definitely return!
Always a quality dinner. Excellent food. Fairly plentiful vegetarian options (I recommend the brussel sprouts and the mushrooms). Tons of outdoor seating for covid-safe experience.
Outstanding! We had a table outside. Lovely setting, delicious food and great service!
The food was excellent. We tried almost everything on the menu. Our waitress, Rosie, was fantastic and fun and offered great recs.
Nice place. A bit loud but good overall.
Good overall but they can improve in area of cleanliness
Awesome food, have loved coming here for 20 years.
Birthday with my boys!
Great food! Great service! Great price! I wish I lived closer.
It was nice
Just Fantastic! Food and drinks were both great. Lots of vegetarian choices as well. Definitely recommend.
Really exceptional food & service as always! Lots of outdoor seating.
A lovely luncheon before a visit to the National Portrait Gallery.
The food quality at Zaytinya is geberally good. On this visit, we were a little disappointed that the food was served Luke warm. The olive oil cake was bone dry. Hopefully this is just a temporary service hiccup.
Wonderful service, the food was delicious. We will be back!
We had a number of great dishes and a few ok ones. The atypical "cheesecake" was the best but the sauce on the shrimp was amazing. Decor was pretty beat up - carpeting was ripped in many places, chairs had holes, and a few other things which were odd to see in a JA restaurant. Atmosphere was VERY VERY loud. Would definitely recommend for the food.
The service was a little confusing in regards to “who is my Real sever.”
Z is always fun, great food, fine service. First time there for lunch in a couple of years, so I had forgotten how good everything is. A terrific place.
The outdoor dining area at Zaytinya is very comfortable and well appointed. I saw it listed in an internet search as one of the best outdoor dining venues in DC and agree. The food is always superb.
Great food, fast service, nice outdoor setting. Will go back!
Great family dinner!
Food was fantastic! My only regret is that we didn’t get the tasting menu so that we could have tried even more dishes.
Very pleasant thanx!
Great food! Thank you
Great food. Good subtle flavors. Variety for vegetarians as well.
8 course chef’s tasting menu, wow!
We dined outside at Zaytinya and an unexpected summer storm broke shortly after we arrived. The staff were excellent and in good humor the entire time and very kindly provided some champagne on the house to make up for the weather. I was incredibly impressed.
5 stars all around! Food is absolutely delicious every time and service is super friendly. Ambiance is energetic.
Zaytinya is a hands down favorite. The restaurant and staff truly reflect the community Chef Andres works to cultivate. Outdoor dining is set up to provide for social distancing and distance from the street/traffic. I hosted a business dinner and we all ordered the Chef’s menu, which was amazing and more food than we could eat. Wait staff was prompt, personable, and made sure we had everything we needed. Cannot say enough good things about the restaurant and its people.
The food was great and the service was excellent. Save room for dessert.
We came here to celebrate our engagement with family. I used to love this restaurant but this time it but the food did not seem particularly to be special this time (balloon bread felt dry too). Overall enjoyed the dinner though!
Booked a 8:15 reservation but did not get seated until 8:45 which was frustrating. My boyfriend ordered a beer but out came a cocktail but got charged for the beer. Food came out quickly and was delicious though. Always love it at Zaytinya, just a busy night I guess.
Great food. Great service. So fun! Will be back next time in DC! Will try in NYC now!!
