We have been going to Zee Grill for over 40 years. It continues to be our favourite place in the city for all things seafood. Oysters are always fresh and delicious. Ahi Tuna is my go to main almost every time.

Neighbourhood gem. The only "con" is the small portion size. The quality is great though so I would pick quality over quantity any given time. Best crab cakes I have ever tasted and I am comparing the ones that I had in Europe and N Am :-) Keep up the great work!

It was our third visit to Zee bar in as many months and we enjoyed the hospitality and delicious food we have come to expect. We would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant very highly. The ambiance, service and fare make it a standout in the city not just the neighbourhood. We'll keep coming back.

First time visit for the wife and myself. The service was straightforward and knowledgeable. The food was good. The oysters were juicy and succulent. The in-house sauces were really good. The food was a little bland for our taste. We are use to a little more spice. The clientele skewed a little older but there was still good energy in the room. The lighting was perfect but it was a little hard to hear. It was a great experience overall and we would definitely recommend a visit if you're in the mood for seafood.

I started this review and it went before I had finished, so here it is in full. The big problem with Zee is the noise level, which is obviously due to the fact that the walls are all bare brick, and the sound bounces back. At their prices, surely they could afford to use cloth or some other substance on the walls to dull the sound so people can at least hear themselves think? Comfortable dialogue levels are impossible, so everyone has to shout. We love the restaurant, the food and the service, but don't come as often as we might because of the noise levels - the only refuge is in the summer out on the back patio.

Firstly, the service was casual, friendly and efficient. The food was better than expected, the Sudada seafood stew and the oysters were stand outs for us. Just a really nice higher-end neighbourhood spot.

My wife and I had dinner there last night. Nice small restaurant, tables are slightly too close to each but it’s ok. Food was really good but the price on their menu is different from the website. Website: Poke salad $22 Crab cake $22 At the restaurant: Poke salad $24 Crab cakes $24 So $2+ differences. Not a big deal but just wanting to point it out. We also had 24 oisters @ 3:95/each They were good size oisters but yes, slightly pricey. With that all said: we WILL definitely come back again and I still highly recommend Zee Grill restaurant.

After 10 years, this is definitely our last visit. Lobster was cold, even after a request to reheat, the Peruvian fish stew was lacking in flavor, the special clams lacking in flavour the Steak Frites meh! We didn’t even stay for dessert. Not sure if the chef or owner have changed. The menu has been minimized and the food compromised. We had come to look forward to exceptional flavours at Zee which was totally lacking in all 4 meals. Very disappointing.

My favourite restaurant ever!!! I always drag my boyfriend here because I love oysters. He doesn’t even like them but still always is happy to come back with me because the staff is awesome and the vibe is so comfy and nice, and they have lots of other cool options on the menu :)
