Zend Conscious Lounge Ratings and Reviews
I love eating healthy, yummy food at Zend!
What an incredible healthy secret with a ZEN-D vibe right in Yaletown! This meal was incredible, delicious, savoury and vegetarian/vegan! Surprised our souls and tastebuds. We will be back after the tacos, the pasta, soups, plates and the mushrooms/sauerkraut. Took more to go! Highly recommend and plan on making this a weekly routine!
Someone made me watch a documentary about eating meat and now this is the only place i want to eat.
The food was great, we shared a bunch of plates so we could try it all and in the end we couldn’t decide which was our favourite. They had run out of the elixir which we were all really looking forward to try so that was a bummer since it did feel like we didn’t have something to celebrate with and cheer because they don’t serve alcohol so we did feel we missed some sort of mocktail or celebratory drink. Oh and the kitchen closes pretty early so we ended up having to continue our celebration somewhere else
The servers were extremely friendly too
i had never been and was meeting my blind date and we ended up being there for almost 4 hours. pleasant service, yummy menu and a great evening. so, give it a go!
The food was interesting, healthy and delicious, the service friendly and knowledgable, and the place is non-profit! Doesn't get much better than that.
Second time we've been there, and it didn't disappoint. Little pricey, if you're a foodie like me, but well worth it. The food is well presented and very tasty. Try it, even if you're a meat eater, you may be pleasantly surprised. And, I love the kombucha on tap.
Love the smoothies & the tacos. Congrats on your lovely space in the heart of Yaletown.
Unique food. Nice cocktails. Lovely staff. Decor and layout is odd but intimate. Great experience.
I had high expectations for the food but both the quantity and flavours were not exceptional. I have made similar dishes at home that I thought tasted better...and I am not a plant-based diet connoisseur.. The servers were nice. Price is high for the food though. Maybe that's why I had high expectations. Kelp noodles were $16. I would recreate the same dish at home for a fraction of the price. Of course there are other costs required to run a restaurant business. But pricing has to be reasonable. For a tiny plate of kelp noodles (mixed with sauce and nothing else), that is really expensive. They also didn't have avocado for their avocado toast and offered to replace with cucumber. That was disappointing.
This is a wonderful vegan restaurant that could benefit from a liquor license but the food itself is very creative and delicious.
The music was all over the map and the lights could probably be dimmed to improve the atmosphere but I'll definitely be back.
Excellent service, excellent food! We wanted a quiet space with healthy vegetarian food - and we found it!
The food was just as good as our previous visit but the lady server wasn't anywhere near as helpful as last time with regards to helping me figure out what I could eat as I have a severe allergy to allium (onions, garlic and related). She wanted me to say what I'd like but that always results in the server going back & forth to the chef: better for the chef to be asked which dishes can be made without allium, especially when she later said that most of the savoury dishes contained allium!
I am vegetarian but my husband is an open-minded omnivore and we both thoroughly enjoyed the food and beverages. The server and chef were very helpful and accommodating with regards to my food allergy (allium). The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly whilst not being too overly attentive. Do try at least one cocktail and the Zend elixir shooter but savour every sip!
Quite simply, Zend is the best vegan restaurant in Vancouver. Even the most skeptical carnivore has enjoyed when I bring them and I absolutely love the whole menu.
Great and exiting food in a cosy restaurant. Staff are friendly and know their menu. It was my second visit and definately not my last.
Great service and knowledge of the menu by our server Nicole.
Their special tea is awesome! We all feel calmer and more relaxing after.
Tasty, interesting, food, delivered with a smile, in a light, progressive ambiance.
A nice contrast to the factory restos across the street.
Highly recommend the tacos and the chocolate dessert. Excellent healthy food!!!
My 4th visit and my husband's first. I was so excited to share the experience with him, and super excited he loved it. Its a relaxed atmosphere and I always feel grounded. Vegan food at its best!!! Also, 100% of their profit go to charity.
The food was excellent and so was the service, the space was comfortable but very casual. Would recommend for vegetarian/vegan friends looking for a casual hangout with delicious, healthy eats. One potentially important caveat: there is no alcohol served
This place is THE BEST!! Incredible food, loveliest staff, and such a good atmosphere. The kava kava drink they have was amazing too.. never tried it before, but it made me so relaxed. We can't wait to come back to and try more of the food. Paradise for vegans and conscious folk alike!!
It is amazing place with amazing food, very nice people and atmosphere super service.
This is no by means a negative review. Just wanted to explain why we can't review the restaurant for the following circumstances.
We chose to go to Zend as we have 1 member of our family who is celiac and another member is vegan. However, we were not able to proceed with the reservation as the establishment was not open...somehow, we received a phone call immediately following the reservation that they were not open.
Although we appreciate being notified via a phone call, we did not understand why the system was not set up to make this information public. It was Family Day holiday...and we all do not live in the same house, not even near Yaletown. Had we all driven down, searched for parking only to be surprised that we did not really have a secured reservation.
