   Another delicious experience at this local sourced restaurant. Kitchen turns out amazing dishes quickly. The waiter who was kind and knowledgeable is a pleasure to have tableside .

   Nice location close to downtown hotels. Food was fine -- fried pickles app is huge and enough for 4 people --- but service is really slow. Bartender was struggling to keep up, and many people were there to have craft cocktails and tap beer, so that was a major hold-up because entire staff had to pitch in to help. Servers are friendly and knowledgeable, but really hamstringed by the bar situation.

   Zim's Cafe is always on point! Their farm-to-table menu has something for everyone and the new blackened catfish with collard greens and grits is insanely good! We also love the bar extension, The Thirsty Fox. The staff is super friendly and Ellyiss and Sean make some of the best drinks in Downtown Lexington.

   I met friends for brunch yesterday and ordered the traditional breakfast. It was terrible. The grits were stale and tasted like they’d been uncovered in the fridge for days. The scrambled eggs were tough and cold. The bacon seemed leftover. I could barely eat 2 bites. I didn’t return it as they were just so busy. My friends had a similar rating for their food. When the server retrieved our plates she looked at mine, picked it up, and didn’t say anything.

    Service was abysmal and slow - items ordered for the table were never delivered, mains were not brought out at the same time, runner reached across an 8-top to hand food rather than walking around. Server said out loud that "our kitchen is a mess right now." One of the only brunch items on the menu was a breakfast burrito, but they were out of tortillas (?!). Overall, very disappointed and didn't meet the expectations of one of Ouita's restaurants. Hopefully this is a one-off.

    Grabbed dinner before a concert at Rupp. Convenient location, tasty food, good cocktails. Glad we had a reservation, as they were not accepting walk ins.

    We got the impression that this establishment is still trying to figure out how to operate. The hostess took a while to figure out where we were going to sit, and moved lots of empty tables around. Our food was good, esp the homemade salad dressing. Our server was excellent and service was quick, but the quiet, musicless, and bright atmosphere wasn't exactly what we were looking for on a Friday evening. It's more suitable for brunch/lunch. The coffee bar server was kind, but seemed so confused. She didn't know if they had decaf. She also didn't know if they had half and half. I ordered a "half caffeinated" and I got full decaffeinated. Overall, the front of the house staff is in need of training. This place has potential!

    Order was a little mixed up, but no problem; all the food is delicious and substitutes just made it more interesting! Server was prompt in adjusting. Made a reservation for 1 pm but showed up early and they worked us in. Very accommodating!

    Food was decent but service and atmosphere was excellent. Needing to get and remember the code for the bathroom is a weird thing. The steak wasn't great, but overall the quality of the food and interactions was positive and would go back again.

    Had reservations for lunch/brunch and was seated relatively quickly upon arrival. The room was maybe half full, but acoustics made it quite loud. Service was very slow and lacked awareness - not enough silverware and tall, glass drinkware with no straws/lids for small children. Took 5 minutes or so to get water for the table and had to request a drink menu. Ordered drinks, then food approximately 10 min later when server returned. Took another 10 min or so to get part of the food, consisting only of a muffin and a scone for kids. Scone for 5 year old was very hard and we had to walk up to counter to ask it to be heated. Food (2 salads) finally arrived (probably 35 minutes after being seated), along with our drinks a few minutes later. Food quality was fine and price was ok. The total experience took nearly an hour, most of which was spent waiting. We have visited Zim’s many times, and the last few have been similar (yet not quite as bad). It will likely be a while before we return.

    New items on the menu since our last visit, so if you've not been for awhile, better go check it out! Being in the midst of downtown, it is a great place for anyone visiting to see both a beautifully restored building and experience exceptional local fare. Don't miss it!

    Such a cute spot but the majority of the food was inedible. They don’t have a full brunch or kids menu anymore as a heads up. All three of our meals were cold when delivered 30 minutes after ordering. The eggs were more brown than yellow and so so dry. Two orders of bacon were burnt one order looked like it hadn’t been cooked. The sausages were like hockey pucks and the toast was not toasted at all. It would have been nice to have my small glass of water refilled at least once or have the waitress check on us after the food was delivered, the place wasn’t busy at all. Won’t be back.

    My wife and I came down for Sunday brunch. We enjoyed the locally sourced dishes they make. I never realized cheese grits could be so creamy, excellent! My only criticism would be the bloody Mary I would like to see it made with a little thicker tomato juice. We will be back to try the other things on their menu.

    Service was slow even though the restaurant seemed only half full on a Friday evening. Our server seemed to be the only one working tables and would disappear for long stretches. Starters were good but main plates were underwhelming.

    Our waiter, Christian, was wonderful. I got the Honeywell cocktail and the Cuban sandwich. Both were amazing and reasonably priced for quality ingredients. Will be back!

    Can’t remember the last time a restaurant charged for refills of fountain drinks. $10 for 4 diet cokes that probably cost the restaurant about 25 cents. Would have been nice if the server mentioned it beforehand. Have been a regular at Zim’s and all of her restaurants but unlikely to continue if this is how they want to treat their customers.

    We went for brunch and it was nice but didn’t blow us away. The crispy chicken sandwich was great, as were some pastries we tried (sweet potato muffin especially). But the omelette and cheesy potato casserole were very average. And we ordered a mimosa “pitcher” which came with several juices - a nice touch! But it took probably 20 min to come out, after we had gotten our food. The place is cute and our server was great. We enjoyed it overall but probably wouldn’t come back.

    Always great food and great customer service. Have visited many times and have always loved the food, the people and the atmosphere. Especially love the Valentines wine pairing menu. The selection was on point and look forward to doing it again at the next Wine me Up night.
