    I had a good time, but at the end of the night, when I paid the bill and left a pretty generous tip, the waitress came and told me that I did not leave enough money according to him and he tried to make me pay more!!! He handed me the machine so I could repay I was so shook, I never experienced something like this, especially after working in the catering industry myself I knew how unacceptable it was. I liked my night but unfortunately because of the waitress's action I don't feel comfortable coming back...

    Honestly, this restaurant did not meet my expectations! When I did my research, my taste buds were awaiting the things I saw on the menu. When I arrived, the server informed me that the menu changed last week. I was not too impressed with anything on the new menu!

    It was such a great surprise! I took a chance bc of the 3.6 rating and my oh my! We got live music and then a live belly dance show (the belly dancing is why my noise rating is so high) the service is slow but friendly and we didn’t mind bc we had entertainment. The food and drinks were great! We tried most of the signature cocktails. I would definitely come again!

    Au début, il n'y avait qu'une seule serveuse qui faisait également office de barman. Elle était désagréable, parlait avec beaucoup d'attitude et n'avait aucune qualité en service à la clientèle. Lorsque nous lui posions des questions sur le menu ou le restaurant, elle répondait avec beaucoup d'attitude, comme si nous la dérangions. Nous avons commandé le tajine au poulet, mais le poulet était extrêmement sec. Nous avions également commandé des hors-d'œuvre au fromage, mais au moment de les servir, la serveuse nous a informés qu'il n'en restait plus et elle nous a demandé si nous préférions ceux aux poivrons à la place. Comme nous n'avions pas vraiment le choix, nous avons accepté, et elle avait déjà les feuilletés aux poivrons prêts dans sa main, nous avons trouvé ça un peu bizarre quand même qu’elle aille les feuillestes au poivron avec elle . J'ai remarqué un couple qui est entré vers 20 heures, mais personne ne les a accueillis, et après 10 minutes sans que personne ne leur parle, ils sont partis en colère. Ayant déjà visité le Maroc deux fois, je m'attendais à retrouver l'hospitalité marocaine, mais malheureusement, ce n'était pas le cas. C'est très dommage, car cet emplacement a beaucoup de potentiel. La serveuse portait une casquette grise avec "Zina" écrit dessus, et ses cheveux dépassaient.

    Le service est médiocre. Il fallait attendre 1h pour se faire servir. Pour le prix payé, la quantité dans les Tajin laisse a désirer. Pensez au moins à mettre une bonne quantité dans les plats pour les prix payés. Le seul point positif est l’ambiance

    The manager told me to leave after 1hour of coming in because he was letting people in with no reservation!! So disspointed I brought a table of 6 just a day before and i work next to it so its such a shame

    Superbe décoration, ambiance à la marocaine, mais malheureusement on étaient collés les un sur les autres, je n’étais pas à l’aise ! Aussi, Il faudra revoir le service des cocktails car on étaient servi dans des verres en plastique avec une paille très fine, difficile de boire avec. Merci.

    What an awful experience. We arrived and they had neglected to tell us a belly dancer blasting music would be lasting for another hour. My 80 year old parents were shocked and we couldn’t even speak to the bartender who could not us. When we raised our voice to try to get their attention they told us we were rude. A disastrous experience. It was louder than being in a wind tunnel.

    The restaurant was closed even though they accepted our reservation. And it seemed like they were open on Google and open table. They gave no notice that they were closed.

    I had a reservation here with a friend visiting from out of town. On the day of the reservation, I had modified the time twice as it was raining. When we finally arrived we were rudely met at the door by two female servers who told us that our reservation was cancelled due to the weather. I never received a call or notification on the app informing me of the cancellation. It was embarrassing & just shows poor customer service.

    I know it only has recently open, but the service was lacking professionalism. The menu doesn’t have descriptions and it was barely explained to us. We were the only one in the restaurant so that gives an awkward vibe. No alcool free options such as lemonade or other, not optimal for a work lunch.

    Kind of like a fake fancy restaurant, low quality ingredients and small portions at big prices. They were out of many things. Mistakes on the menu. One waiter was trying his best, the other one was way too comfortable with us. The washrooms were quite dirty. Do not recommend, don’t think they’ll last very long.

    honestly, not sure where miscommunication happened, but app said i booked a standard table and bar was unavailable. but when we walked in, it appeared the hostess was overwhelmed and said there are no tables, if you want to eat you have to sit at bar. thankfully, i’m rating the place, not the app. our server/bartender was absolutely amazing. Very helpful with tips on what to order and made amazing drinks! Don’t read the app menu! extremely inaccurate, but helpful if you don’t speak french! Bc Mike was so helpful, he saved my hangry attitude into one ready to feast on amazing food. we got pita with hummus and sauces ( one had eggplant) my husband got the lamb and i got the mediterranean salad. good distance from hotel and safe neighborhood Happy to have a great experience! (regardless of inaccuracy & disappointment of app)

    Group of 10 - sat on the terrasse for lunch. Love the cushion choice for your outdoor benches. Short walk for PVM - great for extended lunches and something removed from the Cathcart hustle at lunch hour. Perfect East Mediterranean flavours that are a welcome change to all of the Italian / Canadian restos that we find on every corner. The food quality is superb. The burger and tagine were a hit. Lamb was a particular treat - incredible portion size! Fair pricing. Our group enjoyed sharing the nibbles. You should too. For 6$ each… try them all. The service was friendly and got everything right. ONLY criticism is order to table time. I can imagine that things like tagines take time to prepare and we were a large group so I am understanding of it not being “fast food”. If we could have cut 10-15 mins off each service (there were 2) it would have been a PERFECT experience. Thank you for hosting us and I WILL be recommending Zina to our my colleagues for business lunches and dinners as well as friends and family looking for options in the downtown core!

    Zina was amazing. From the tasteful decor to the delicious food served with an amazing service, we enjoyed it so much. Thank you Zina it was my first but sure won’t be my last time. Btw I don’t who the decorator is but I need all the decor in my house.

    We selected this restaurant based on the menu we saw on line. Once we received the menu in the restaurant we noticed it was a much smaller food selection and the items that we were most interested were not being offered. The food we ordered was ok in flavour and presentation. We have had Moroccan food before and have throughly enjoyed it. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the same experience here at Zina. They need to update their online menus and photos so that customer are not disappointed.

    The interior of the restaurant was well decorated and the food looked good and taste good but probably wasn’t worth the price we paid. Unfortunately the restaurant was empty apart from one other table so the ambience felt a bit off, and the waiter wasn’t able to answer questions regarding allergies or even the dishes on the menu without speaking to the chef, getting the catch of the day wrong from what we were told to what we were served While it’s fine to check, it just made the whole experience a bit uncomfortable

    Steak was great. Other dishes were so so. Wine list could have been better. It was very quiet and cold in the restaurant. The ambiance was nice but it was empty when we went. Im gathering this restaurant is new and has good potential for gf future.

    Beau décor et bonne ambiance. Clairement décevant côté cuisine. La tajine aux olives et citron était très amer et contenait littéralement que deux olives. Les tapas et la tajine kefta était fade et sans saveur.

    Le menu est très pauvre et non varié, ne reflète nullement la diversité et la richesse de la cuisine marocaine. La texture et la qualité des ingrédients ne sont pas bonnes, sans oublier la qualité de la cuisson (j’ai eu de la misère à digérer le repas pendant plusieurs heures). L’ambiance ne reflète aucunement le concept de la cuisine marocaine car la musique diffusée est très occidentale, ce qui est un contraste même avec le décor du restaurant vu qu’on a mis des lustres, lampes et tableaux reflétant la culture Maroc.

    Nous sommes sincèrement navrés que votre expérience n’ait pas été à la hauteur de vos attentes.Nous traduisons le Maroc par la culture, les épices et certaines saveurs mais les plats ne sont pas des plats « typiques » marocains.Nous recevons tous les jours des produits frais venant des producteurs ce qui implique que nous ne pouvons pas nous permettre de créer un menu avec une multitude de choix, et nos clients nous en remercies car cela confirme que tout est fait maison !
