The name ZINGARA translates to “gypsy woman” in Italian, paying homage to Ambrosio’s passion for food of Spain, Southern France and Italy that inspired this venture. The concept aims to create an upscale space where people can gather and enjoy small bites, coffee, European wine and luxury goods.
As the evening sets in, Zingara will transition from coffee shop into a sophisticated wine bar from 4 to 9 p.m. Wine enthusiasts will be delighted by their extensive collection of Italian, French and Californian wines.     Good dinner appetizers and tasty entrees. Friendly service. Cocktails were expensive and small in content. Wine choices were very good. Ambience was limited, but the open space does serve as a coffee bar and boutique market. Biggest disappointment was the hostess sweeping the floor and using a mop and pail during our dinner, which was a full hour before closing time.

    We were invited on the pretext that they were unveiling a new menu. Well, there was mention of a change in ownership. There was no greeting at the door, no wait staff, and no menu or food, other than a small sampling of a salad place on a table in the middle of the restaurant. I’m 84, and eaten thousands of restaurants in my lifetime, and I’d rank this experience as one of the worst. I’d be surprised if this restaurant survives.

    Excellent food in a casual atmosphere in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to Mayo Clinic Scottsdale. Service, food, and wine was top notch and we will definitely return

    Zingara is a hidden gem. Modern European food. Glad we found it. Food, especially burger with fingerlings potatoes was delicious. Desert was surprising. Outstanding and personable service. Will be back.

    1st visit to Zingara. Very casual, but very nice. I had the best hamburger I have ever had. Our server, Colten was attentive and has a great personality. We will be back!
