We had a great time at Zingari! We were a sorry if time celebrating a 60th birthday. Food and service was fabulous!!
Loved so many of the dishes. Great interaction with the band. Truly enjoyed our night out, the staff was warm, this reminds us why SF food is always part of the things to do in California.
Excellent service and atmosphere. Jazz was very nice
Great restaurant. Charming atmosphere, great food, great service, live music, and valet parking. Loved it!
Great holiday celebration with work friends.
Dinner at the upstairs Jazz room was a wonderful experience for the 9 coworkers. We had an excellent meal and the jazz was great and the service was spot on.
We tried and enjoyed nearly every starter on the menu and the polpo and bruschetta were among the favorites. Top entrees included the osso bucco, the short rib pasta dish and the salmon. Great wines, amazing desserts and some of the best gelato I have had this side of the Atlantic!
The staff was remarkable. We were waited on without being overbearing. It was a quiet visit because of Covid restrictions But previous visit assured us that that was the place to spend our special event. We enjoyed every minute
We had salmon, which was perfectly prepared. Also enjoyed martinis.
We had dinner in the piano room while listening to the Sam Cady Trio. It was a really wonderful experience. I will definitely return. The only issue (relatively minor) is that the restaurant does not serve decaf coffee in any form. So the dessert was disappointing.
We were seated far from the musicians and the crowd was noisy. Only complaint
I regret going to zíngari for Thanksgiving super small place music terrible and laud and they charge me almost $70 for music supposed to be $50 but they add a $10 service charge and taxes just for music. Then the food was terrible they didn’t have available some stuff on the menu my daughter have to eat spaghetti because they didn’t have anything else vegetarian my bill was $250 + $70 for the horrible music, for a total of $330 for some spaghettini and 2 tiny pice of lamb the Pellegrinio sparkling water was $10 overall terrible they took 55 min to bring the food, I can perfectly give them a 0 . Do not go to zingari if you want to have a nice dinner, it’s obviously the owner doesn’t try to change anything, so many complains about the food and the service and is still the same nothing change.
Servicio pésimo. Comida regular. Demorada. Cero ambiente. Hay unos músicos pero nada que impacte.
Fuimos por acción de gracias.
Nada que ver…
Not good! Overpriced and small horrible portions of food! Rude staff snd crowded snd stressful environment. The food is ridiculously overpriced for tiny portions of disgusting food.
1st time dining here & we’ll definitely be back, great ambiance & even better drinks.
Pretty average flavors overall, although a very good prosciutto wrapped mozzarella appetizer. Veal tenderloin was cooked properly. Asparagus side was cold. The pumpkin cheesecake had little flavor. Tasted like a frozen cake. The raspberry sorbet tasted like strawberry. Disappointing meal for the price. Cozy ambiance.
It was ok, but not super. Quite expensive for what you get and no music from where we were seated
Completely underwhelmed in comparison to my last 3-4 meals there pre-COVID. Quality of the food was less than expected. Gnocchis were oversized mutants. Short rib papardele arrived as mini slabs of meat, not tender like a short rib should be and the meat+sauce to pasta ratio too high. The timbale was predictably bland - some things undercooked (fennel and eggplant) while others slightly overcooked (peppers). The burrata with prosciutto was fine, though missed a little more oil/vinegar, and the tomatoes were off-season of course.
The service was the only saving grace, polite and efficient- maybe a little too efficient; please don’t take our plates until we are all finished eating. That’s a no-no in Italy.
Oh, and where did all the Uber friendly Italian waiters go?
Service was efficient.
Good is great. Jazz music is great. Great ambience. However, choose to sit in the room away from the piano otherwise you will not be able to hold a conversation with your company. Also, tables in the jazz room are really close together. No social distancing here.
Service was awesome
Food was prepared perfectly
Overall an excellent dining experience
Food was insanely overpriced, even for SF. The pastas we received were not good. The fettuccine was cut up into tiny bits like a 7 year old eats noodles and it tasted worse than dry store bought. Shrimp were extremely over cooked and it only came with one scallop. Sauce on short rib pasta was so rich you couldn’t even taste the noodles, which were so undercooked and doughy. Crostinis barely tasted like morning sweet toast. Octopus was so dry it wouldn’t peel off the plate and hummus was so dense that it overpowered the dish. Service was subpar and unwelcoming. After $175, we left more food on the plates than we ate.
Food was good, nice ambiance, the jazz band and singer were very good and entertaining. It felt like a nostalgic dinner club. Loved it!
We paid for a live jazz show. We were sat in a corner where neither of us could see anything other than walls and the table next to us. Even if we turned around or tried to stretch our necks we were completely out of view. We expected to pay a lot for our experience, and are completely ok with that… but the plates were also disappointing. My partner ordered the short rib pasta and there was maybe one rib in the dish total. It was all noodle and mushroom and the dish was very expensive. I ordered the chicken and also there was hardly any meat on the plate. Not even an entire breast. The plate was also very pricey. Our drinks were fine, we each had 2 apperol spritz. Nothing crazy. After an hour there and tipping our total was nearly $300 and we both left feeling like we paid way too much for that experience, and I am now ordering delivery because neither of us got satiated.
A wonderful place. Be sure to upgrade to sit in the jazz room... Great service and elegant dishes.
Everything was perfect. If I wasn't leaving tonight, I'd go back again. The food was perfect.
Food was expensive and disappointing
Live music 10/10!
Great restaurant, outstanding service. It was our first time and really was very impressive.
Really nice, quality jazz. Everything about the restaurant was great aside from how close the tables are in the piano room. Also, it's really hard to see the musicians. Half of the seats are not facing them. Aside from that, I saw people complaining about things being too expensive there, but I went there with my mom, we each had a meal, a drink, and we shared a dessert. Total price $85 with tip. Don't complain about the price if you're not paying attention to the cost of your items.
The food and decor were far below its advertising and price point. Embarrassing for a special occasion.
Italian cousine meets California 0km ingredients, giving birth to original and tasteful dishes. The Jazz trio is outstanding
Food was unremarkable given the price and expectations from the establishment. Service was professional but they missed a few things at our table. Overall, I’d say it was fine, but not up to expectations
Food was just ok. The musicians were on break more than they played and the service was poor. Dinner was rushed out and then we were forgotten. Overall, very disappointing
Easy to get a reservation online. Food was good but portions were kinda small. Wine list was adequate by the glass. The primary waiter was good. However, there was another one constantly inserting himself and that was very annoying. It gave the feeling that we were not welcome and that we just needed to order and get out.
Really not impressed with this experience. Paid close to $70 just for music cover charge and the music was so loud we had to move. The table next to us moved at the same time. We asked to be placed where we could hear the music but be able to talk at the same time. Well that didn’t happen. We didn’t then hear any music at all.
So I booked a music and dine experience and paid for it but didn’t get that in the end.
The food was good but took way to long and overall not worth the money.
A bit expensive-dinner, one beer, dessert and music charge (not including musicians tip) >$100
Fish bland price too high just not a good experience
Nice cool chill place to eat. Live Jazz music is always a plus. Definitely recommend
This was a most delicious restaurant. Our waiter was superb, and attentive. Will definitely be coming back.
Live Jazz=amazing night!
