   We had cochinta, which tasted a tad sweet. it wasn't bad, but it was not Cochinita Pibil in flavor. It was a large portion overall. The huevos rancheros combo was good. The Asada tacos were good. The chicken nachos were a nice big portion, but the chicken was saucey, and it had a light buffalo flavor, which is unusual for Mexican food. The chicken & waffles were mediocre. The chicken milanesa that comes with it was ok. The waffle tasted plain and not churro flavored. The drinks, margarita and mimosa had a good alcohol to mix ratio. They definitely didn't skimp on the Alcohol. The chicken flautas were good. The flavor of rice and beans was good.

   I booked a reservation for 10 people to celebrate a birthday. I was disappointed that they weren’t ready for us and stuck us at a table right next to the kitchen so the wait staff were constantly walking behind four of us in close quarters already. It was a gorgeous day for dining alfresco. Our birthday girl was the first to arrive and they told her they could not accommodate outside yet when we left there were a couple large parties sitting outside. Just a little disappointed that with a reservation celebrating a birthday, that we couldn’t have nicer accommodations. The food came out sporadically and was just okay. My Chicken Tinga burrito was pretty flavorless. Disappointed it wasn’t a better experience. :-(

   It was awful from the start. The waiter got the drink order wrong and treated us wrong the rest of the night. There was a physical altercation between two guys right where I was eating that required the police to be called.

   Food was very good … gauc, tacos, chips/salsa Pitcher of sangaria .. no fruit in pitcher, flavor just ok Heated outdoor area…. Was well heated on a cold night… very very loud groups, could barely hear my date and some people were smoking in the enclosed out door area .. no bueno

   Loved our supper. The service was prompt, the margaritas were delicious and the fajitas outstanding. The chips and salsa were ami get the best we have had. Highly recommend ! Fills up on a Friday so advise you make reservations.

   Hole in the wall, food is meh. It’s a neighborhood favorite so the locals love it. It’s kinda run down and dirty. But I can see why it’s a local hangout spot. Good location, laid back.

    Took a group of colleagues to dinner for a casual meal. Outstanding service. The woman who waited on us worked tirelessly to ensure we were well treated. Food was excellent and portions were plentiful. Great experience.

    I highly recommend this restaurant. We were in town for a conference, and took a quick uber ride to Zocalo. Food was delicious, atmosphere great. Don't miss it!

    I could see the place as having a fun vibe but….. the dirty menus and poor food didn’t make up for it. I would looks elsewhere.

    First time ever, food was not hot, barely warm. Server brought piping hot food quickly. Chips were not warm and crispy. Never had a bad meal here, so this is the exception in my experience and hopefully not a downward trend.

    This place is my secret lunch spot away from the usual bustling Colony Square lunch spots that my colleagues visit..Service was great. And historically their food is very good..however, this time it was just so-so..it’s one of the first times I’ve been post COVID..I think they’re still bouncing back..

    Great food, a little too loud for our taste, may be cause they had to cover their patios in Winter. But couple big tables were way too loud.

    We hadn’t been to Zocalo in probably 10 yrs! Doing a little throw back, decided to give it a go on a Friday; make reservations to ensure there wouldn’t be much of a wait, which worked well! Service was very good, quick drinks, chips/salsa, even food — and that’s where it went downhill😔! We all 4 thought the food was a solid 5 out of 10, sadly. We got enchiladas, quesadillas and a 3 taco meal. Pretty flavorless and unimaginative. Take me to Bone Garden and Nuevo Laredo next time!! Sorry Zocalo…

    Just casual mid day lunch in the middle of the week. Service wasn’t good. Slow and not very attentive. Food was decent, tacos were the best part. Had two steak, one chicken.

    This version of Mexican here is tasty but slightly nouvelle Mexican food with drizzled cheese and sour cream sauces and attractive plating to accompany very tasty traditional recipes. The margaritas are very good and the selection is flavor-varied. It is much better than your average Mexican joint or Tex-Mex restaurant. Entire restaurant is open-air and bustling with activity. Chile Relleno, Burritos, Enchalatas, Soft Tacos are all here. Recommended.

    Queso was cheap and utilized cheap ingredients. The drinks were good. I was really just taken back by how bland and cheap the food was, specifically the queso. Just melted velveta cheese for $9
