Absolutely beautiful place with a good atmosphere. Only issue was that the service was extremely slow. We waited well over an hour for our dinner, the get the bill when asked, etc. Our stay was three hours long because of this. Food was also very average. However, our waitress was very nice and accommodating to us which really elevated our experience.

That was the worst experience. The service was awful, our server had a slightly kind attitude but there was no urgency or prioritization. We waited forever for things. We had to send my martini back, it tasted like metal and water. They redid it but I had to wait awhile. For how expensive the restaurant is, it’s supposed to feel 5 star, it felt like 1 star.

Why do i request a reserved table by the window but when I get there = they tell me its reserved? Is mine a less reservation than another? I am very disappointed that we immediately escorted to another table and told no that table is reserved? Also the service was choppy and not at over enthusiastic to have us there? I have attended many dinners, teas and lunched at all the Fairmont locations and in the past few years - specifically the Chateau Laurier has gone very low in quality of service and staff. I not know why? I was married in the Grand Ball Room and have over the years celebrated many occasions but unfortunately - that may have to come to an end -please share this with the manager of the Chateau

We really enjoyed our Afternoon Tea yesterday. There was such a lovely variety of sandwiches and desserts. The scones were scrumptious! We plan to celebrate my birthday there again next year.

I haven’t been to High Tea at the Chateau Laurier many times. While the food was good - the overall service was not.They brought out the tray of food quickly however after waiting several minutes we had to ask for our sever to bring out the tea to which they said they had run out of tea pots and were waiting for them to be washed. We overheard this being said at another table. Where we were seated I got to stare a plates and glasses be stacked on a shelf right beside me. We also had to stare at a piller and had zero view. For the price of High Tea for 2 and 2 mediocre Bellinis- $178 before tip - not worth it. It’s a beautiful hotel but the servers seemed like they wanted to be somewhere else and the caliber of service isn’t what it has been in the past.
We just can’t wait to go again! Everything was perfect!

Service was good, food was excellent! Got seated in a weird corner next to the kitchenette/cutlery station, so the view was subpar for the cost. Expected a little more ambience but it is what it is. The food made up for it.

It is a lovely place to have tea. The food was tasty and there was plenty for two.
The teapots were awkward and not perfectly clean and shiny on the outside.
The server neglected to desscribe the dainty sandwiches. Although he was very pleasant. We had to ask another to help us with that.
Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend Zoe's. Just needs a few improvements to be perfect, as it was the last time I visited two years ago.

A lovely setting with attentive service yummy little bites although Tea selection (especially for high Tea) was very ordinary and perhaps took away from the special nature of the moment, have seen this much better execution in Montreal or Victoria Fairmont hotels….

Zoe’s is a beautiful room for any type of occasions. This afternoon tea-party was a get-together with my best friend.
We agreed on my critics with the following details through the Weekend Afternoon Tea Experience:
• As you can see on the cropped photo, the three-level tower was placed between us and we had to help the waiter to make some room. This was not placed there due to the picture, I actually had to ask him another table to place it there, otherwise “I would talk to the cakes,” I told him; the Bellini was delicious and we agreed with the Joie de Provence tea I bought in a tin afterwards and I highly recommend both.
• Starting from the first level with scones, they were not warmed up as you expect the butter to melt when spreading it, and that may explain why there was mascarpone instead of butter, with raspberry jam; don’t get me wrong, they both do well together, but not comparable to the English tea-party experience in the UK.
• From scone level to canapés level, we had to use the same plate and cutleries we previously used for the scones. The canapés were very good, but we have to take everything with our hands, the only small tong was for brown and white sugar, and that goes the same regarding the dessert level, the top of the tower.
• At the dessert level, my friend and I agreed to ask the waiter for another plate and cutleries; when bringing new ones, he did not place the cutleries on the side, as a high-standard way, but left them on the plate just like that. I asked him if we could get a refill for tea and he asked us if new loose leaf tea should be added to the metal teapots or just pouring hot water; I told him to ask his team leader—how would I know, I didn’t have a training at Fairmont Hotel Château Laurier.
• The team leader, who is a waitress, asked us forty-five minutes early, if we needed a box for the dessert—who were delicious by the way, see their menu—when on their web page, it is stated clients are allowed for two hours; not cool.

What a terrible disappointment! The food was disgusting...the 2 microsized sandwiches looked like they had been sitting on the plate since the day before. There were 2 things made of mushrooms in microsized cardboard type cones. Everything was so sweet, we felt physically sick halfway through and couldn't even manage any of the pastries. The cream was just cheap whipping cream, not clotted like it should have been. Nothing like a real English Tea. Terribly over priced for what we got - in fact a complete rip off. Save your money and go to a nice Cafe instead if you want something decent to eat!

It was wonderful to continue our tradition of taking my partner on they're birthday. We haven't been able to for 1.5 years, of course, but it felt so wonderfully normal again - with delicious food, tea, and a wonderful environment.

I think tea should be an experience I guess. Our server was present to bring mimosas and the bill. Had to ask another server to bring tea after waiting a while as our food had arrived. It was a birthday tea and I was requesting the bill and ready to go when the server brought a treat for my sister. An off day made for an okay tea. Zoe's perhaps is better for happy hour cocktails.

The food was boring and didn't taste fresh. The tea was decent but the pot dripped all over the table - which was practically on top of the table beside ours. A weak high tea event.

I am an afternoon lover and have been trying out many great places in London and Asia. This place is not up to the hotel standards. Their pastries are bulky, macarons are not fresh, thay have no taste except overly sweet. Scones were just ok. Our server was not too friendly and helpful I guess she had a bad day that day. I will definitely not recommend this place unless you have never had afternoon tea before and you just want to have that “experience “. I will never go back anyway, not a fan with their food nor service.
We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea. The staff were very accommodating regarding my severe food allergies. Everything was fresh and excellent.
A special spot, cannot wait to visit again once the patio is open in the summer. Try the Creme Broulee - you won’t be disappointed
