Zoe’s, located within the walls of the Fairmont Château Laurier, offers a captivating bar experience while serving up a side of local history. Named after Sir Wilfrid Laurier’s wife, Lady Zoe, this space was transformed from a concert hall and reintroduced as a Bar in the late 1980’s. It quickly became one of Ottawa’s most popular gathering places. Today, the room is contemporary chic and remains equally impressive with its big bold chandeliers, unique details and original artwork.     Enjoy our famous Afternoon Tea service at Zoe's every day of the week from 11:00 am until 3:30 pm. The winter menu features 6 savory sandwiches and 4 desserts. $73 per adult, $36 per child (not including taxes and gratuity). We are able to accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions (please mention under Guest requests). Please note we do not offer self-parking at the hotel, we do recommend parking at City Hall or Rideau Mall. All reservations are subject to a 2 hours seating time.     Its lovely. They should have a pianist. The food is delicious but the server too long time to bring the dessert menu then come back to take the order, so we unfortunately skipped dessert.

    It was very nice on my Birthday to return to where 40 years prior I had done my 3 year cooking apprentice & had worked in this magnificent building for 7 years. The Afternoon Tea was amazing! You will not be disappointed. Chef Heather Parent

    the prices are excessive for the products the soup was luke warm the starters arrived at different times for the guests the salad was VERY simple

    Service was incredibly slow, took 40 minutes to place our tea order after being sat and had to ask the manager for service. Also, waited another 30 for our bills. I would understand if our server was busy but that didn’t seem to be the case. Aside from the this, incredible atmosphere and food.

    We’ve stayed at many Fairmont and typically their restaurants are just as wonderful as the hotel stay. However, this was not the case. We had probably our worst service at any restaurant we’ve been too. The restaurant wasn’t very busy but it seemed that our server was completely ignoring us. Our drinks were always empty. I think we saw our server 3 times in the 2 1/2 hours we were there. Food came with no cutlery and of course no server so we had to go get our own cutlery. Food was good but slow. Overall just very disappointed with our experience and don’t recommend to other guests.

    My mom, sister and I had a wonderful time at Zoe's restaurant for High Tea. We were celebrating my mom's birthday, and she always wanted to do High Tea at the Fairmont. Garrick was our waiter, and he was kind, fun and was attentive to our needs. The food and tea were delicious. I'd love to do another High Tea again!

    Excellent service. The ambiance is peaceful and inviting. We ordered the French onion soup and frisée salad, both absolutely delicious. I highly recommend for lunch.

    Amazing experience. All staff were friendly and accommodating, especially our attendant Nicole. The food was delicious and the tea flavorful. The room is beautiful and well maintained. Always an enjoyable time. Thank you for helping us celebrate my mother's birthday!

    Our afternoon tea at the Chateau was the best high tea that I have experienced, and I have sampled many high teas in the cities of Canada and England. They beautifully accommodated both peanut and Celiac food allergies by ensure each person had their own delightful assortment of scones, sandwiches and desserts. Of course dinning in the beautiful Chateau Laurier was the icing on the cake. Our servers were friendly, professional and made our tea very special.

    My go-to spot for a drink and apps before heading to a show at the NAC. I also never miss a high tea around the holidays because the decor is always so beautiful and really gets your in to the spirit.

    We had a wonderful time celebrating our friend's pregnancy. Our waitress (I think her name is Nicole) was extremely patient with us when our guest of honor was delayed by unexpected protests in downtown Ottawa. 100% would recommend afternoon tea at Zoe's.

    My daughter-in-law and my Granddaughter were there for Tea, prior to going to the NAC to see Cinderella the Ballet. We were given the best seat in the house at Zoe’s, from the perspective of our 8 year old darling. The day was magical, from your scones to our glass (acrylic) slippers. Thank you 🥂❤️

    Wonderful, fun and feminine experience! Such a filling and delicious set of pastries. The house scones were incredible, the sandwich selection was yummy and fresh but the desserts were showstoppers. I could eat the jerk chicken croissant and chocolate mandarin mousse cake forever.

    Josée provided the best service we’ve ever experienced at Zoe’s for high tea! I booked an afternoon reservation for my mom (a senior) and myself (38 weeks pregnant) as a belated birthday celebration for her. Josée was warm and attentive from the second she served us. Wonderful service and treats, I can’t wait to go back with our little one next year!

    The afternoon tea was very enjoyable with a nice variety of food choices. Our server was so pleasant and explained everything that was served. Next time I would go during Christmastime to enjoy the festive atmosphere.

    Not much flavour to the sandwiches . The desserts were overpowered with cinnamon, nutmeg and fall flavours . The spices overpowered the desserts. The desserts were too similar in toast and were disappointing while sandwiches were very bland with exception of the jerk sandwich croissant.

    Wonderful experience. Zoe’s staff were able to accommodate my severe food allergies. I felt very safe and at ease with the chefs choices in food servings. Will definitely be going back again.

    I was surprised that lemon was not served with our tea. I had to ask twice for lemon. The first time I was served 4 half old and partly dried up slices likely from the bar and the second time, I was served freshly cut lemon wedges. Perhaps fresh lemon should be served with the tea along with the sugar cubes and milk. Also, the wait staff should be instructed to wait to serve the tea after the afternoon cocktails have been enjoyed. We got our tea while still enjoying our Bellinis. By the time we got to drinking our tea, it was lukewarm and over steeped. Leaving the tea disappointing. The food was good. I found however, that the Gougére aux fromage was cold and likely right out of the fridge. The cheese was hard and tasteless. It should have been served warm, or at least at room temperature. I found the same with the other items...they too were served a little too cold. It seemed that they were taken right out of the fridge and placed on the tiered serving dish. Not what you would expect for the price and from a Fairmont Hotel. The scones were delightful. Fluffy and not ice cold. I was a little disappointed with your high tea experience and will likely not be going again. The waitress, Mme Langdon was very pleasant.

    Our party enjoyed the atmosphere, the drinks and the Salmon. The restaurant just launched a new menu. Not much for vegetarians, the mushroom bisque and heirloom tomato gratin were underwhelming. The waitress was lovely but the 1h30 wait time for our main course was not acceptable.

    Everything was lovely! Only thing we noticed was that service was quite slow for our middle table, it seemed the tables all around us had faster service. We did receive an apology once, but it felt oddly slower than others. All food and teas were delicious and well presented.

    After 5 mths of anticipation waiting to go for a belated birthday celebration, and hearing so many good things, we left disappointed. We went for the afternoon tea. They were almost 25 minutes late seating us for our reservation and the service that followed was also very underwhelming. After a long wait for the food (which was for the most park fairly good) , it finally came before our tea order which took over 45 minutes. After that we received few check-ins from staff and then proceeded to wait forever for our bill. While it is likely supposed to be a leisurely afternoon tea experience, it was a bit too slow for us. Not sure we would go back.
