Zoe’s, located within the walls of the Fairmont Château Laurier, offers a captivating bar experience while serving up a side of local history. Named after Sir Wilfrid Laurier’s wife, Lady Zoe, this space was transformed from a concert hall and reintroduced as a Bar in the late 1980’s. It quickly became one of Ottawa’s most popular gathering places. Today, the room is contemporary chic and remains equally impressive with its big bold chandeliers, unique details and original artwork. The menu, inspired by ingredients from the region, includes share plates and hearty entrées. The cocktail list presents reimagined classics, as well as showstopping creations.

    Enjoy our famous Afternoon Tea service at Zoe's every day of the week from 11:00 am until 3:30 pm. The winter menu features 6 savory sandwiches and 4 desserts. $73 per adult, $36 per child (not including taxes and gratuity). We are able to accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions (please mention under Guest requests). Please note we do not offer self-parking at the hotel, we do recommend parking at City Hall or Rideau Mall. All reservations are subject to a 2 hours seating time. Seating preferences are reviewed based on requested date and availability.

    Service was great! Food was so cool to try a whole bunch of different things! I loved how they had a cappuccino option for non tea drinkers and the scones were delicious and the macaroon was so good!

    My boyfriend and I went for afternoon tea and had a great time. The service was effective, friendly and accommodating. The food was good and they worked around a few allergies. I had the stawberry tea and it was so delicate and nice. Cost is high but was a special experience!

    We booked for 1pm because we had another booking at 3pm and wanted to take our time with our afternoon tea but we’re not seated until 1.15 and then had to wait a while to be served. Food was good but did not feel it was value for money

    Zoe's was a phenomenal place to celebrate my 60th birthday! Our table was wonderful and we were surrounded by several other tables celebrating birthdays. The service was excellent and were very attentive and quick to substitute any food that was an issue!

    A bit dissapointing. While service was good, the savoury sandwiches and sweets were a bit stale, we had to return a cup as it was chipped, and the menu should specify that only 1 tea pot per person is included if they're going to make such a point about it to the patrons who order a second pot (in alll fairnessthey ended up not charging us for it in the end) While the decor was a beautiful mix of old and new, maintenance is lacking: blinds had stains, and the velvet chairs were worn out and a bit dirty. The positives were a friendly waitress, nice decor, and a small treat since we were celebrating a birthday. However for $75 per person for a few scones and treats I expected more!

    Absolutely wonderful experience. Service by Garrick was the best I have ever experienced, food was amazing and the tea absolutely delicious. Brought my mom here for the high tea her birthday and she was not only surprised, but very appreciative of the ambiance, service and food as well. Highly recommend for a special occasion or if you want to treat yourself. We will definitely return.

    Pleasant surprise to have one table for the 8 of us setup upon our arrival for high tea, when reservation system and call to restaurant all assured us there where only tables for 4 available at that time and day. Nicole, our server, went above and beyond to make us feel looked after!

    A quiet evening, kindly staff. They obligingly moved us to a window seat when requested. Quite expensive (and one dish slightly too cool on arrival), as one would expect, but a good experience. I indicated through opentable that it was a birthday, and they provided a little plate with a candle, macaron, and small brownie, which was fun and unexpected.

    We had a great time the waiters and waitresses were ver accommodating to our 6year old Granddaughter. It truly was a Princess Tea! We had pictures taken to share with friends and family. We will be back next year as this has become an annual end of summer treat for ourselves and our Granddaughter.

    Our 14 year old niece from Winnipeg wanted to have afternoon tea at Zoe's. She (and we) had a wonderful time. The scones, savouries and sweets were all imaginative and delicious. Staff were charming and made her feel welcome. All in all, a highlight of her visit to Ottawa.

    Dined here with my daughter (14) and thoroughly enjoyed our meal and experience. Service was wonderful- very attentive and friendly waiter. Only drawback was that there were about 3-4 flys around landing on us which was annoying. We were told they came through the front doors of the hotel because it’s open between the entrance and the passage way to the restaurant. We ordered one adult tea and one kid’s tea because my daughter likes the ham & cheese sandwiches best. They were cut into cute shapes and the deserts were lovely as well. The bread/croissants tasted fresh. The tea biscuits were heavenly. We got out remaining tea ‘to go’ because we couldn’t drink & eat it all. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable experience. We will be back!

    The food and teas were very good. Server was very personable and if he had to come our table once after we were served to check on us, I would give him 5 stars. The lack of air conditioning, made the experience somewhat uncomfortable. The decor was much improved since the last time I was there, but really needs to be done again.
