   This was our first time having High Tea. Everything was outstanding from the window table to the variety of food presented. We left nothing behind except the dishes. We can hardly wait to do a repeat visit. We are in our 70's proving its never too late to start a new tradition. Good job Zoe's.

   Very good food and service, delightful ambiance in a beautiful historic room, but very expensive compared to pre-pandemic prices. Have often taken out of town visitors up until now, but may not do so again. Too pricey for a light meal.

   What a lovely afternoon tea experience. The food, the ambience, the service were excellent. Chantal was an exceptional server - helpful, accommodating and so pleasant. We were so pleased that gluten and lactose intolerances were accommodated. It’s pricey, but worth the experience.

   Horrible experience for us as guests of the hotel. We asked to sit by heaters and were taken to a spot with no heaters present. We were told by the assistant manager Austin that this was the only place we could be seated (party of 6) simply not true! Asked for blankets - took 10 minutes to get them. Asked to have the fireplace to be turned on told it was not working - again not true. Would not recommend to anyone and unfortunately won’t stay at this Fairmont property again. Austin was condescending and not a problem solver or people person.

   The experience and service were great! Food was awesome! The only feedback I have is about the lack of parking at the hotel- we were lucky to find a spot however the availability is very limited. Also, entering and exiting the main entrance from Rideau St. was very stressful because pedestrians do not follow signage - there may need to be some thought about how to make entering and exiting the main entrance easier and safe for everyone!

    We went for the high tea on Victoria Day. As always, the experience was divine! Great ambiance, great little treats to nibble on and totally professional service. All you would expect from the Chateau Laurier. Does it cost money? Yes, it does.

    We loved the setting! It’s located in the beautiful chateau Laurier with high ceilings and large windows. The food is not on par with the venue or the pricing that comes with it. The ribeye steak was mediocre at best and chewy. The burgers were uninspired. The tuna decent. The desserts were the best part. If I return again it’ll be for dessert/drinks only.

    Our first table was behind a wall. Second table was by the window, but air conditioning was too strong and forced us to leave early rather than request a third table.

    High Tea service was lovely. Great service and a nice room, if a little loud. Sweets and savouries were good, our group of six seemed to prefer the savouries, though the macarons were delish! Tea is included in the prix fixe, which wasn’t clear to me (newby). We enjoyed the creamy maple and the green tea from Japan. Nobody in the room was wearing a hat or fascinator, some in jeans. Have a plan for parking, there weren’t lots of options and all required a bit of hike. Some tables looked to be chair/walker accessible, there were stairs up to others tables. Was a fantastic post shopping girls gathering. Highly recommended and felt fancy.

    On the positive, the roasted tomato soup was excellent. On the negative: 1-Service was extremely slow. 2-I had the seared yellow fin tuna as the may dish. You would expect the outside of the tuna to be actually seared and the inside cold. Instead the outside was baked and the inside warm. And no wasabi or any other sauce. Not a great experience for the price paid.

    We only had high tea scones and tea, yet overall it was a treat for us! The scones, 2 of them for each of us, were more on the small side, yet were very fresh and tasty! Beautiful room with great decor and ambiance overlooking the busy street below. A great experience overall and not to be missed!

    The service was amazing. However it took almost an hour to get the tray. When it did arrive there was a hair in the dessert. Expected some sort of compensation for that but nothing was done. The saving grace was the service but otherwise a disappointment because of how long it took to receive the food

    The service was amazing. Cute place for high tea. I took my mom for Mother’s Day so it was a cute thing to do. The food is ok it’s not worth the price but the experience is what you’re paying for. Scones and cucumber sandwich and coffee and tea are great! Our server, he was wonderful !

    Food was well presented but not great. The bread is tasteless- seriously. Apparently a crazy busy night on the outdoor patio hence our food taking over an hour. Valet took 30 mins to retrieve our vehicle- note: 25.00 CASH ONLY. The room itself is gorgeous, I can imagine it with a jazz singer and great small plates with cocktails.

    Madam, Sir, Out of sheer courtesy for your francophone clients, you could have your menu as well as your blurb about Zoé Laurier née Lafontaine translated into French. It is quite objectionable to be presented with a short bio of a francophone "première dame" in English only in the capital of a bilingual country in a hotel located next to its Parliament! As far as the menu is concerned, it is quite shameful to provide your guests with such a poor fare for those outrageous prices! I took a $36 hamburger that was awful both to look at and to eat! And your Gemelli pasta ($36) did not do much better! Couldn't you provide a decent menu for such a marvelous room? D. Brunelle

    It’s a nice treat but like others I feel it pales in comparison to similar high tea experiences, especially with other Fairmont locations. There’s just some touches that are missing that make it feel very mass produced. That said, they accommodated dietary restrictions (vegan) with zero questions. Tea selection is excellent, though no real guidance given beyond the tea box being left on the table. All in all, just barely worth the cost and other experiences of similar cost do beat this out.

    Food in general was good with the cheese plate being really good. The pasta with peas was not good at all and do not recommend in any way, but the rest of the food was ok. The beef tartare, the tomato soup, the smoked trout salad (this was really good). The waiter was really efficient and nice. It has a nice downtown view with big nice windows.

    We had a guest from China/Australia. It was a perfect place for an afternoon rendezvous. Zoe’s is getting a little down-at-the heels. The tea pots are old and not very elegant for a high tea. Also notices that the furniture is getting tired and used for too long and needs refinishing. Other than that Zoe’s for Tea is the best if you have lots of $$$$

    Our second time for Afternoon Tea. Lovely time. Only issue is that when transferred from the Chateau Laurier website to Open Table, there wasn't limitations on the afternoon tea reservation times, which ends at 3:30pm. The restaurant called to confirm we were coming for tea or dinner and adjusted our reservation accordingly. Happy we didn't miss it!
