Zoe’s, located within the walls of the Fairmont Château Laurier, offers a captivating bar experience while serving up a side of local history. Named after Sir Wilfrid Laurier’s wife, Lady Zoe, this space was transformed from a concert hall and reintroduced as a Bar in the late 1980’s. It quickly became one of Ottawa’s most popular gathering places. Today, the room is contemporary chic and remains equally impressive with its big bold chandeliers, unique details and original artwork.     Enjoy our famous Afternoon Tea service at Zoe's every day of the week from 11:00 am until 3:30 pm. The winter menu features 6 savory sandwiches and 4 desserts. $73 per adult, $36 per child (not including taxes and gratuity). We are able to accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions (please mention under Guest requests). Please note we do not offer self-parking at the hotel, we do recommend parking at City Hall or Rideau Mall. All reservations are subject to a 2 hours seating time. Seating preferences are reviewed based on requested date and availability.

    My mother and I had high tea at Zoe’s and it was an amazing experience. 15 different teas to select from and lovely sandwiches. Very comfortable seating as well, gorgeous atmosphere. Our server Nicole was so incredible and made our experience even better. It exceeded our very high expectations.

    Holiday Afternoon tea is a special dining experience…..pricing seems steep for the amount of food served per person….but service was attentive….. and festive decor added to the enjoyment.

    Server was excellent! Quality of food/tea was good but not worth $100 per person. It was also disappointing that we pay this much to be at a table next to bar dealing with noise, constant movement/distractions from the bar and no view. This was supposed to be a special treat for my elderly mom. I do not think I will return.

    This was a special celebration and Zoe’s did not fail to impress. The many Christmas trees and decorations were spectacular! We had some special requests and dietary needs. The staff accommodated us beautifully. We did find that it took some time to get seated and served and were worried that we would be late for our 1:30 date at the NAC but everything worked out with sufficient time to walk over without rushing. Nowhere else could have been more magical for my 9 year old granddaughter or my daughter-in-law who was celebrating a birthday. The birthday dessert they brought out was unexpected and lovely. Our server, Josée, was warm and thoughtful. She really made our day! Thanks everyone. You made us feel like royalty!

    Pour l'expérience et le prix, on peut trouver mieux dans les environs. On s'attend à mieux lorsqu'on parle du Château Laurier. Pour un Fairmont, Nous nous attendions à ce que ce sois plus attentionné et la carte plus élaboré.

    Celebrated my mothers 92nd birthday in style. Everyone from Ottawa should come do tea. Its better than some experiences I have had in Europe! thank you !

    It was overpriced. We were sat along the entrance even though we had booked the reservations 4 weeks prior. Our initial waitress was lovely, but then we were passed onto someone else. The waiter thought it was appropriate to hang over my friend while taken a picture for another table. Our table was much too small for the tray of food and two pots of tea. I expected much better.

    Its lovely. They should have a pianist. The food is delicious but the server too long time to bring the dessert menu then come back to take the order, so we unfortunately skipped dessert.

    Food was good. If I had to make 1 criticism, it would be that my husband's steak was cold. Rm 485 Nov 23- 30th 2023. Our server was very attentive😊

    It was very nice on my Birthday to return to where 40 years prior I had done my 3 year cooking apprentice & had worked in this magnificent building for 7 years. The Afternoon Tea was amazing! You will not be disappointed. Chef Heather Parent

    the prices are excessive for the products the soup was luke warm the starters arrived at different times for the guests the salad was VERY simple

    Service was incredibly slow, took 40 minutes to place our tea order after being sat and had to ask the manager for service. Also, waited another 30 for our bills. I would understand if our server was busy but that didn’t seem to be the case. Aside from the this, incredible atmosphere and food.

    We’ve stayed at many Fairmont and typically their restaurants are just as wonderful as the hotel stay. However, this was not the case. We had probably our worst service at any restaurant we’ve been too. The restaurant wasn’t very busy but it seemed that our server was completely ignoring us. Our drinks were always empty. I think we saw our server 3 times in the 2 1/2 hours we were there. Food came with no cutlery and of course no server so we had to go get our own cutlery. Food was good but slow. Overall just very disappointed with our experience and don’t recommend to other guests.

    My mom, sister and I had a wonderful time at Zoe's restaurant for High Tea. We were celebrating my mom's birthday, and she always wanted to do High Tea at the Fairmont. Garrick was our waiter, and he was kind, fun and was attentive to our needs. The food and tea were delicious. I'd love to do another High Tea again!

    Excellent service. The ambiance is peaceful and inviting. We ordered the French onion soup and frisée salad, both absolutely delicious. I highly recommend for lunch.

    Amazing experience. All staff were friendly and accommodating, especially our attendant Nicole. The food was delicious and the tea flavorful. The room is beautiful and well maintained. Always an enjoyable time. Thank you for helping us celebrate my mother's birthday!

    Our afternoon tea at the Chateau was the best high tea that I have experienced, and I have sampled many high teas in the cities of Canada and England. They beautifully accommodated both peanut and Celiac food allergies by ensure each person had their own delightful assortment of scones, sandwiches and desserts. Of course dinning in the beautiful Chateau Laurier was the icing on the cake. Our servers were friendly, professional and made our tea very special.

    My go-to spot for a drink and apps before heading to a show at the NAC. I also never miss a high tea around the holidays because the decor is always so beautiful and really gets your in to the spirit.

    We had a wonderful time celebrating our friend's pregnancy. Our waitress (I think her name is Nicole) was extremely patient with us when our guest of honor was delayed by unexpected protests in downtown Ottawa. 100% would recommend afternoon tea at Zoe's.

    My daughter-in-law and my Granddaughter were there for Tea, prior to going to the NAC to see Cinderella the Ballet. We were given the best seat in the house at Zoe’s, from the perspective of our 8 year old darling. The day was magical, from your scones to our glass (acrylic) slippers. Thank you 🥂❤️

    Wonderful, fun and feminine experience! Such a filling and delicious set of pastries. The house scones were incredible, the sandwich selection was yummy and fresh but the desserts were showstoppers. I could eat the jerk chicken croissant and chocolate mandarin mousse cake forever.

    Josée provided the best service we’ve ever experienced at Zoe’s for high tea! I booked an afternoon reservation for my mom (a senior) and myself (38 weeks pregnant) as a belated birthday celebration for her. Josée was warm and attentive from the second she served us. Wonderful service and treats, I can’t wait to go back with our little one next year!

    The afternoon tea was very enjoyable with a nice variety of food choices. Our server was so pleasant and explained everything that was served. Next time I would go during Christmastime to enjoy the festive atmosphere.

    Not much flavour to the sandwiches . The desserts were overpowered with cinnamon, nutmeg and fall flavours . The spices overpowered the desserts. The desserts were too similar in toast and were disappointing while sandwiches were very bland with exception of the jerk sandwich croissant.
