   Shared three appetizers with my friend. Lovely way to try a variety of dishes and amount was perfect for lunch. The feta stuffed apricots were especially tasty! Recommend the French 75 cocktail

   Overall disappointed with the experience. Cocktails were average at best. Service was poor. Food was hit and miss with some exceptional dishes and some that lacked flavor.

   First time customer and we were completely blown away. My husband and I chose four appetizers, and they were all we needed. Each one was presented like a work of art and the tastes were outstanding. We’ll be back soon to try the rest of the appetizers then on future trips, the main courses. A big shout out to the chef and terrific staff.

    The restaurant is lovely and the ambience was very peaceful, however, the mains left a lot to be desired. We had a sirloin steak and a rack of lamb--both were under seasoned and slightly overcooked past the point of the medium rare temperature that we asked for. I've gone to their sister restaurant, Sofra and would say that the food there is more flavoursome (and also cheaper!). I'd be open to going again but I think I would just stick to the mezzes and dessert, if I did.

    Loved the food at this restaurant's parent place (Sofra) so had to try out their offspring Zula although I had heard it was expensive. It is worth it. Very nice and original decor and seating. Service with a smile. Interesting original cocktail menu. We enjoyed two starters - the lamb loins served on a bed of arugula and an eggplant based sauce on the side - delicious and perfectly cooked and seasoned lamb. The surf and turf starter was delicious with beautifully cooked and seasoned scallops with lamb sausage. Portions of both fine for two. Main course - don't miss out the beautiful Chilean Sea Bass - generous portion seared on cook top then a finish in the oven with a gorgeous buttery crust. Served with polenta that has changed my attitude to that dish! My best seafood experience in years ! If you want an interesting and delicious meal for a special occasion this is the place !

    I only write reviews when it tips the scale! My friend and I went for lunch and we’re going to order the chicken skewers Because it came with an arugula salad, then add pita bread on the side to make our own Donair. The waitress then suggested we order the Donaire then I specifically asked her is there vegetables because I need my greens. When it was so very dry no sauce seem like several day old chicken that had no particular flavor… The weirdest part is they had some old potatoes that they added in the mix as filler and here’s the kicker it wasn’t even pita bread, it was a wrap. I forgot to mention the vegetable situation… One slice of tomato and one slice of cucumber how laughable. We didn’t go to Zula to get a dried Rap that doesn’t even taste Mediterranean. I’m not sure what it tasted like. I just can’t believe I ate it! Very disappointing!

    After a previous excellent experience at Zulu, we went back for a second time with high expectations. While the food was good overall, it did not meet the quality of our first experience here, nor did it live up to what you would expect for the prices. For the mains, one of our party ordered the halibut cheeks and found it only okay. Two of our party ordered the rack of lamb medium-rare. While tasty, both orders came significantly over cooked (medium-well to well), which was very disappointing and not acceptable when charging the high end prices that Zulu does. The sea bass on the other hand was cooked perfectly and was exceptional. The cocktails, wine and appetizers were all very good.

    Best food in the city. It’s comptable to a 5-star meal in Cali or Vegas. The restaurant is pretty, ambiance is great, and service is amazing. Chef takes his Sofra concept next level here. Lunch is great, and dinner is out of this world.

    We had a great experience at Zula. Our server was very welcoming, knowledgeable and efficient. The food was excellent, everything from the flavor, texture, portion sizing and presentation. There was an extensive wine list as well, by the bottle and glass. The one downside was that the wine by the glass was only a 5oz pour. There was no option for 9oz and since we wanted 2 glasses of wine, it ended up being double the price. Overall we had a great time and will definitely be back for the food over drinks.

    We tried almost all the appetizers and had wine. The food was great and so was the drink. We had to wait quite a while a couple of times for our server to come around, so that was the only frustrating thing.

    Great find - really enjoyed our visit. We shared the meatballs, had chicken kebabs and prawns as mains and shared Baclava, plus a nice bottle of wine. The service was superb. We shall be back. Only down-side was it was a devil to find, 1. our satnav didn't recognize West Block, 2. the construction on Stony Plain, but glad we persevered! Thank you.

    Food was amazing, bartenders are very talented and the staff were incredibly nice! Best lamb in the city, and the appetizers were incredible. Highly recommend the tiger prawns with feta stuffed mushroom caps. Great time!

    Excellent ambience and amazing food especially the meat platter that 2 adults can share. Extensive wine list. A little bit pricey but worth it. Underground Parking is free for 2 hours and there is elevator access to restaurant from the Parkade. Highly Recommended.

    Portions are tiny. Services was slower, not super slow. I had 3 gin and sodas and there barely any alcohol in it. Mixed Platter was burnt and portion were insulting. Mixed khebab plate was decent but not worth the money. No vestibule, so cold front outside kept coming in the restaurant. Services was mediocre, food took a long time to come out.     I will preface this review with the fact that the restaurant is new and is still likely working out some kinks. We were a group of 4 - ordered chicken kebabs and the shrimp croquettes to start, they were tasty however for the price, small portions. Husband ordered a beer (no beers on tap) and they brought a glass just out of the dishwasher, so cold beer turned warm very quickly. Not a huge deal but they should know better. All of our entrees were served lukewarm. Sea bass was good however the rice side was very salty, could not eat it. It's also extremely loud in the restaurant. I was really looking forward to trying Zula but overall experience was underwhelming. For the the price point, I expected better.
