   My daughter and I had a good time and the food is always good except the service was extremely slow. To me it seemed like they didn't have enough staff. We were there for hours because of the slow service.

   Dinner reservation just after Happy Hour needed; the restaurant was not full or even half full and the noise level was very high. Our sushi actually came out before our drinks, not a bad thing, just unexpected. Food quality was good and tastes fresh and well-prepared. Maybe not what I was expecting for a nice start to a date night, but my date and I like to sit across from each other to be able to look at each other during conversation. The noise level started out too high and continued to rise as the even went on and more diners arrived. We eventually had to move to sit next to each other and still had a hard time hearing and understanding each other. It’s not that the actual noise level was higher than other restaurants for a Friday evening, but the acoustics of the restaurant do not dampen any noise. I rarely have an issue with noise levels in restaurants, but upon leaving the doors my headache almost instantly went away. All I can think is that the older building with lower ceilings just isn’t well planned for controlling sound and providing a pleasant dining experience. Overall had a good dinner, food and drinks; just hard to enjoy fully with a headache and constantly having to repeat or ask my date to repeat what we were saying.

   They are just not trying hard enough. Service was slow at best and always behind the curve. The restaurant also needs a deep clean as well as better sanitation. Half of our plates, glasses etc were delivered dirty and had to be returned. The food was interesting but not overly favorable.

   We had a great experience here. The sushi was beautiful and delicious, and the service was fantastic. The waitress was amazing at helping me work around my food allergies. I am so grateful for her willingness to do that, as my allergies aren't the easiest to work around. If you love Wasabi like me, I highly reccomend ordering their fresh made Wasabi.

   Waitress was aloof and a little rude. The surf and turf roll and the potsticker soup were excellent. The hibachi entree of filet mignon and shrimp was terrible. Stick to rolls and sushi and you’ll enjoy!!

   Food was good. Service was not. Waiter barely checked on us and drinks took forever to get. Had a reservation for 7 people….they put 4 napkins/chopsticks on table. We had to ask for 3 more.

    Average service - had to have items removed from bill and friend had two drinks made/delivered before one came for others. Krab in 80% of roles, you’d expect real crab, not a great spot if you like real sushi. Ramen, potstickers, drinks were solid. Won’t go back unfortunately.

    I first visited Ra Sushi maybe 20 years ago. Every time I was in Scottsdale I would go. It had great vibe, great food, great service…had it was packed. Last night it was dirty with mediocre food and poor service. I won’t return

    Valentine’s Day dinner with my girlfriend. Great food, and our waitress was amazing! Also we requested an indoor table at arrival because OpenTable only had outdoor seating available at time of reservation since it was Valentine’s Day, but the host found us a table inside right away since it was freezing outside and had heavy thunderstorms.     Overall a very good experience. The RAckin Roll was amazing, the spicy salmon and Vegas roll was just OK. Oh, the pot sticker's were great! Plenty to do after dinner in Old Town as well.

    Hands down the worst dining experience of my life. My group of 8 also agreed it was the worst dining experience in memory for any of them. We were celebrating a birthday (mine) with seven friends on the patio. The servers opening line to the table was, “make sure I get a good Yelp review so I can get better shifts.” Off-putting to say the least. Then she spilled water on my guest, and left it for her to clean. She forgot multiple drink orders after repeated attempts. When collecting orders for food- she mixed up orders and then FORGOT to take two guests orders entirely. I had to chase her through the restaurant to remind her she forgot them. She then disappeared for 45 minutes- no waters, no cocktails, no apps. She didn’t even give us napkins or silverware at all. We tried to talk to management but they brushed us off- until I went to the bathroom crying and someone in management finally took the situation seriously. Three hours into the experience, they switched servers and comped most of the bill, which was appreciated and very appropriate. The first guests arrived at 6:15pm, and the last guest got his entree at 9:30pm. At that point we just didn’t know what to say. I cannot remotely recommend this restaurant. We are all locals in town and had been here before. Locals are the bulk of your customer population- so surprisingly that the drunk Super Bowl table next to us got better service than a birthday for a local nurse.

    Used to love this restaurant, however went yesterday for a 5:45 reservation and at 6:30 finally received our appetizers after 2 failed attempts of things we didn’t order. One person didn’t get the roll they ordered and after another hour didn’t really care. Our server was absolutely clueless, never wrote anything down. I have to say the GM was very kind and had just transferred to this location. So I may give it another try in a couple of months.

    Hostess was not attentive at all. We stood at the hostess stand for a long time. I saw a lady that I was guessing was the hostess that was squatting at a table talking to two younger men. When she finally noticed us she held up two fingers asking if we had two people and I nodded yes and she just pointed at a table for us to sit at. Pretty rude… Our server on the other hand was was EXCELLENT! I wish I could remember his name. He was very attentive and had great suggestions. Husband loved the sushi. My chicken teriyaki was average.

    Some areas are very bright so if you’re looking for a cozier setting, you may have to ask to be moved. Food was delicious, fast and attentive service, try their sushi roles that are marked as their special creations. Really good. Would definitely go back.

    Sushi had really bad aftertaste and the service was weak. We usually go to the Ra on scottsdale road and thunderbird and it feels like a completely different restaurant (a lot better in food and service).

    I used my card at the bar before dinner and didn’t close out when we went to the table. I left my card there overnight so thankfully froze my Chase account. I got two notifications from Chase that someone was trying to use my frozen card. When I returned to the restaurant to grab my card I was met by the bartender and manager whom acting very sketchy said they didn’t have my card. Safe to say one do the bartenders took my card and tried to use it elsewhere.

    They lost our food tickets (or should I say my ticket) because I hate my dinner almost 30+ minutes after everyone else at my table ate. They did not cover my meal or take anything off the ticket. They gave my husband a free dessert for his birthday but claimed that dessert was free because of how long i waited for my table….I think the dessert would have been free for his birthday anyways….

    Overall the sushi was really amazing. But the place was empty and the service was super slow and lacking in many ways. We had to look for and flag down our server multiple times. He was always in the back and just seemed to not want to be bothered by providing great service. And the place was empty which made it even worse. All of our food was really great but was very slow to come out given that the place was super slow.

    On time for my reservation made on open table for 1 person I was told they were cleaning my table. A party of two girls walk in the door having made their reservation for Ra on the other side of town mistakenly. After about 8 minutes I was then told I would have a 45 minute wait unless I took a seat at the sushi bar. Really??? My waiter was great and sashimi was great. I ordered a glass of sake from the menu and was brought a bottle which he opened and poured me a glass then left me the rest of the bottle. It should not be on the menu as a glass if all that is available is a bottle. I was quite unhappy with my experience at Ra
