   Been going since they opened. Great food and ambiance. Good mix on menu - anything prime rib is awesome. Local sourcing as much as possible with some good gluten free and vegan options.

   My soup was served cold and when I told the waitress she rudely responded I got it. She brought me a new bowl and left the old bowl on the table. She also neglected to ask if I wanted to take it home. And cleared the bowl at the end of the meal. She was rude and not pleasant. She ruined my Mother’s Day dinner with her attitude.

   We had Mother's Day dinner here. Ordered the cheese curds and brussels sprouts for an app. The cheese curds were very good, the brussels sprouts were under cooked and the flavor was odd. For dinner we had two people that ordered the prime rib, which was very good and nicely prepared. Was asked when ordered if they wanted horseradish and didn't come out with the meal. The waitress later came out with some quite a bit of time after the meal had been served and we had already been eating. Two of us ordered the salmon, it was very good as well. I asked for truffle fries instead of mashed potatoes, they brought out both. The mash potatoes were cold and the truffle fries were soggy and I didn't care for them, but others at the table liked them. We also ordered the Pasta Saltimbocca with chicken which was very good. Beer cheese mac was also ordered and good, but very rich. Overall good experience, service was a bit of a miss, but they were busy. They ran out of ribs by 6:00, which is what I was going to order.

   We had a table of 8. Sat at a table in the back room which was fine. There was already a table of 12-14 about. They were alittle loud, no fault of Railcar. Excellent waiter, kept coming around. Never let our water glasses get empty. Our reservation was at 12:00. We left the restaurant alittle after 1:00. I also left a very positive review on Facebook.

   The customer service was the best part! Server very knowledgeable and convincing about best food & drink items … even lactose free options or adjustments!! And we had a water spill & they reacted quickly … owner/manager jumped in to assist to be sure we were taken care of ☺️

    This is a '''Chef-Owner" restaurant and the food was excellent. The wine list was small, but it had some quality wines to choose from. Our waitress was great. She made the evening fun.

    Well, it was ok. Not bad, but nothing to brag about. We had the prime rib sandwich with Au jus. Sounded great on the menu. There was no horse Radish on the sandwich, and it was not delivered on the side with the plate. The au jus bowl was too narrow and deep for the sandwich. The truffle fries were excessively oily no added flavor. Wish I had a better report.

    From the first greeting to our departure, food and service were excellent. Mel was outstanding as our server. She along with the kitchen staff were very accommodating to any special request some of our picky eaters had. Everyone was very friendly and made us feel welcome and valued as a customer. We were first timer Railcar customers, but it certainly won't be our last visit.

    I ordered the Smoked Salmon appetizer. There was something about it that I didn't really like. But, the Barbacoa Tacos and the Baroque Cheesecake were delicious. Wait staff is friendly and attentive.

    We attended a Wilson Daniels wine dinner on 3/20. Each course was so flavorful and creative and went very well with the selected (mostly European) wines. I really enjoyed the wines as I don’t often get the opportunity to drink wines from Alsace, Spain and Hungary unless I’m in Europe. It was our first time at this restaurant and such a great experience! We had a very fun table and enjoyed the evening so much! Being able to purchase the wines we drank was an added plus! Both the chef and the wine rep provided great details for each course and pairing! We can’t wait for the next wine dinner! Thank you!

    I come to Omaha monthly to visit family. On one of my visits, I came to Railcar and sat in Morgan’s section by the bar. Morgan was just so cool, fun, and personable… the way she interacted with my 6 year old son was just so natural that on my next trip to Omaha, my son asked to go to Railcar, mentioning Morgan by name. Now, Railcar has become part of my routine every time I visit Omaha. My son and I go to see Morgan as our first order of business during my monthly visits. Morgan remembers my regular drink order and just gives me a hand signal to ask if I want my usual drink. (I have never said no.) This might sound overly dramatic, but I don’t care… the food and drinks at Railcar are awesome, and Morgan makes it an experience that I look forward to.

    The waitress was very nice a bit like n the slow she de but overall very pleasant! The eggs on my breakfast item were very slimy not appetizing at all. A couple of the others at the table got the lemon ricotta pancakes an were disappointed in the overall way they were cooked. So it was an out and out bust but could have been better.

    We visited Railcar 2 years ago and liked it so thought we would try it out again. First, we should have known something was off because the restaurant was not busy for a Friday night. Our drinks took a long time and our server was not familiar with the menu. Our 2 appetizers were awful…cold and the flavor was just off. The charcuterie board was pathetic & was missing items. However, they didn’t take that item off the menu & there were no substitutions. They have changed the menu items because the one online was different than the one in the restaurant which was disappointing and misleading. Our main entries were just ok. There was nothing about our entire meal that we were impressed with. To top it off, the employees were gathering in the back of the restaurant complaining about their night & shouting inappropriate language. We will not be back.

    Had a very nice server, but they were obviously shorthanded. Took forever to get our drink order and then forever to get our drinks. Once we finally ordered food, it was brought in a timely manner. Food was delicious. They just need more help.

    Met some ladies at Railcar Modern American Kitchen today at 10:15 for brunch. Started out great- server was attentive and patient as we waited for a few more in our party. I had the griddled prime rib which was not very good. Zero flavor, cooked med well-well done and just kind of blah. Tried various drinks off the bottomless menu, $15 and they’re interchangeable, great deal! Our server quickly became less attentive and almost seemed bothered to stop by. We finished eating and he let us know he was on his way out so we agreed to cash out so we could tip him out but did let him know we were still conversing so to send the new server. They never came. We asked another server and he said he’d get someone. Great! The gal that came over was really not interested even though we made it clear in the beginning that we would be tipping for service as she was a new server to us. She took our drink order but after 15 minutes they never came, 4 Lady Chablis. We let her know to go ahead and cancel them as we were going to head out. Again, she was not interested in any part of us so her response was ‘ok thanks’. Fast forward we left Railcar and went to Corner Kick on 162nd Maple. Got fajitas, margaritas and street tacos. Chris was our server and he was FANTASTIC! Very attentive, courteous and just s nice guy. We will be returned to Corner kick!! Railcar…. Probably not.
