Some of the food was tasty but about 1/2 was not very interesting and the naan was not fully cooked. The wait staff did their best to bring us different options but it was disappointing given all the rave reviews, and the price.
This was our first visit to Sushi Blues Café. Be prepared when you go, it's not your typical sushi spot. They have Christmas lights hanging from the ceiling, old record album covers hanging on the wall and classic oldies playing in the background....we loved it :) We were seated right away and drink orders were taken. They gave us plenty of time to look over their sushi selection (they have a regular menu, but we weren't interested in that this time). They have the traditional sushi and they have their specialties that they created. My wife and I both chose from the specialty line. We liked that they had a big selection of spicy roles. We each selected 2 different roles and took advantage to the BOGO. I read in previous reviews about the length of time to get your food and it did take a little time, but the roles are not pre-made plus they also have a lot to takeout orders. Our food came out and we REALLY enjoyed them. My wife got the Marine and the Fire and Ice. I got the Yummy and the Kevin Keatts. As I said, we were very happy with our selections. Just before we left it started to get pretty busy so we got there at a good time. We don't eat sushi a lot but have been to a few places in the area, but, we both agreed, this is by far the best sushi place we've been to, so check it out.
We have always enjoyed the food and service and our latest experience was no different. Always appreciative of restaurants that have maintained good service through this time of staffing shortages. We had the calamari for an appetizer and the tuna and Singapore noodles for entries. All of them were Fantastic.
Asian Fusion tips you off the menu is creative, and that is the reality. My dinner companions were 2 long time friends from Northern California who are well versed in fine dining. We had about a dozen small plate dishes that we all shared. I had the octopus which is excellent, the lady in our group agreed heartily. Their web site is very well done and has the complete menu. Their drink menu is eclectic and delicious. My friends were very complimentary on my "find" for our dinner.
