Salads were great. Main courses a little less impressive. The brisket sandwich was greasy and bland. The server himself was fine. However the restaurant’s policy of warm tap water on the table and no salt or pepper unless requested was a bit odd. We needed to ask for water refills instead of automatic top ups. It wasn’t very busy at the time. Far too pricey for our taste. Wouldn’t recommend it.
Food was average at best, service was slow. Food quality definitely doesn’t match price.
Honestly, we were having a great weekend up at Sparkling Hill and should have just had dinner there. We thought having a change in scenery would be nice but Range Lounge was a huge let down.
We were offered complimentary shuttle service from Sparkling hill by Predator Ridge, waited for 45min, ended up driving down ourselves.
Everything was AWESOME! Our company throughly enjoy every part of their visit here, golf, scenery, views, food.
Had an enjoyable experience. Food was good, but I thought the menu a bit limited and fairly pricey.
Awesome food now that they have a new chef!! We have been here more times this year then all of last year!! Great service from Shelly as usual.
We had a wonderful birthday dinner with friends - thank you staff!
Great food, slow service (it was a busy day...Mother’s Day...but maybe should have put on extra staff. Great view of golf course, nothing tacky or rowdies. We were a party of 6, and I had a $200. Gift card that I intended to use. When it came time to pay the bill, I was advised that they had just installed a new system, and it was not yet set up to take gift cards. Hmmmm I think the reservation status should have advised. Fortunately, there was one person with us that brought her purse and credit cards. A rather embarrassing moment, which put a cloud on a sunny outing.
Having never eaten at The Grill before and going for Mothers Day, I was surprised at the limited choices at the buffet. The food was delicious, presentation and service was exceptional. I just felt there could have been a larger selection of food groups. The menu was not very kid friendly either.
Breakfast buffet was good, except for the desserts. They were very bland. The service was terrible. We had to finally go and find someone after sitting there for a very long time without water or coffee or any acknowledgement. It was a buffet and we had to stack the plates in the middle of our table because no one was coming to take away the empty plates. It was also extremely cold as two of the chairs were right on top of the air conditioning vents.
Great Mother’s Day brunch, one thing I would like to mention was our table was near one of the panel of window which was nice but the sun coming through was not and the blind for that table was not working so it was very hot and bright
Birthday —-better value and food quality than restaurant at Sparkling Hills Resort
The worse restraurant experience I have ever had!!! Went here based off the “Bucket List” places to visit in The Okanagan.
We made a reservation for the patio via website and confirmed by phone. Once we arrived, we were asked if we had a “Rezo”, which I gather is short for reservation. I was very surprised at the lack of guest service skills and slang used by the hostess. We were then told that the patio could not accommodate our group of 7 and we were seated in the very back corner of the restaurant.
The table wobbled from side to side and one of the chairs was very literally on its last leg! Once the chair was replaced, we ordered our drinks and some appetizers. The appies came to the table, but, we sat for 5 minutes trying to get someone to get us some plates, as, we were all sharing the food. I ordered soup, that did arrive in a timely fashion, but, again, I waited approx 5 minutes for a spoon to eat it with.
Our waitress, whom became busy with another large table, opening wine etc... did not come back to check on us for about 20 minutes. One of our friends had ordered another beverage which, after 30 minutes, still hadn’t arrived. Of the 7 people at the table only 2 people were fortunate enough to get a 2nd round of drinks. When the waiters came to check on us again, she still hadn’t brought the drink we ordered 30 minutes before! She said, she would check on it and wasn’t sure if it was even ordered!
We decided to choose Predator Ridge, as, we have stayed there in years past. We had company in from the coast and were celebrating a birthday and Mother’s Day together. Although, we addressed the above issues with the restaurant manager, we left without having eaten dinner. We all felt completely dissatisfied with the experience. The staff seemed very disorganized and unprofessional! Seriously... It was the WORST experience any of us have had while dining out! Very Dissatisfied!!!
Great food this year!! New chef makes a big difference!!
We were celebrating the birth of my granddaughter, and her Mom's birthday!
The restaurant easily accommodated the car seat, the busy 4 1/2 year old, and made our evening enjoyable.
Our waitress was new, however, she knew the menu and was able too make excellent suggestions. I did find the three menus a bit overwhelming, however, they all served a purpose ( one was the monthly specials, one was the regular menu, and one was the dinner only menu.)
Excellent service food
We had an absolute wonderful evening at the Range Lounge &Grill. The food, including the delicious truffle fries and fish feature was excellent and the setting was beautiful. It was the service we received, however, that made our evening. Melissa and Wade gave us first class service and made a fun night out with friends that much more enjoyable. Thank you!
The prawn appy was amazing. The service was great. The Maverick merlot went down very smoothly oyr meals were tasty. I will be coming back.
Food was fabulous, although it obviously sat under a heat lamp for at least a few minutes. Service was very courteous but very very slow, there was clearly not enough staff.
We've made Easter Brunch at Predator Ridge part of our family tradition for more years that I can remember - but this was the first time there was no prime rib and despite the food and service being very good, this was a disappointment. The hostess and table wait staff were excellent - very attentive and personal despite it being very busy - and we loved our table with a view. Everything we sampled was delicious and fresh, wonderful prepared and for me, the seafood table and the charcuterie/cheese platters were highlights. Smaller portions on the dessert menu were appreciated so we could each sample a few items despite being stuffed! The strawberry mousse and lemon pavlova were melt in your mouth delicious and a lovely light choice.
The selection underwhelmed in other areas, the hot breakfast selection being ordinary and perhaps smaller than other years? The potatoes didn't tempt me at all. I tried the mussel/omelette station and was unimpressed. I would have enjoyed hot mussels in white wine but was brusquely told they were cold and heating them up was not an option. So when I saw a hot pan fry of seafood in white wine on my next trip up, I was confused. The tomato mussels were lovely - but the encounter left me flat. The cold seafood table was small compensation for the absence of your delicious roast prime rib. I was so surprised to see it wasn't there - and to only have ham as its replacement? Maybe turkey AND ham? Either way I don't feel like the value was comparable to past years - or maybe that it's just we've been spoiled and it's time to align costs with modern times. The flavour and freshness on all the items cannot be faulted - everything I tried was delicious and my son loved everything he tried, but also commented on the lack of prime rib. I hope it will be there for Father's Day. My dad will be visiting and we are looking forward to treating him. See you soon, your loyal patron, Robyn Boler
While the food was delicious, the service left a lot to be desired. We were dining at 8pm on a quiet Saturday evening. First, we were seated without menus. When our server came by 15 minutes later to take our order, we recieved menus. When she did take our order, she misheard my husband ordering a steak sandwich and she brought him a steak. My husband called her over and she offered for him to keep the steak, to put the steak on garlic toast or to wait "however long" for a steak sandwich. My husband didn't want to wait another half hour for his dinner when I was already eating mine, so he opted to have it put on garlic toast. However when the bill came, instead of charging him for a steak sandwich he was charged for the full steak meal. While we appreciate that in the end she comped his meal, we would have preferred to have paid for and recieved what we ordered. Overall this experience put a damper on our sparkling hill trip and we would not recommend the range to our friends and family. As a side note, we found parking extremely confusing and a sign referencing the parking lot down the hill would have been helpful.
The schnitzel portions were generous and the ODpuls was appreciated. Sanjay stopped to chat and it was a pleasant evening all round.
Very good tasting food, big portions and reasonable price.
We would recommend Range Lounge anytime
Excellent food and service. We did the Date Night special - great value! Awesome alternative if you’re staying at Sparkling Hill and want somewhere else to eat
We had a really yummy dinner. It was a date night special with dessert and a bottle of wine. Waitress was very efficient and food was delicious! Enjoyable evening. Had the Cajun crusted halibut! So good!
The service was terrible and our waitress was dressed slobby, she didnt know the specials and wasn't professional. The lamb cheeks I ordered were VERY gamey and fatty. They also ran out of whipped cream. The other food was great. The ambiance was fantastic.
I hear that this restaurant is great, but we booked a table using open table online and then the restaurant was closed. Kind of a bummer. I thought it would update online if the restaurant was closed and not allow us to book a reservation.
This is our 6th time at the Christmas Brunch. Each time we have had a great time. Will book again for next year!
We went for brunch with Santa. Such amazing food, beautiful setting, wonderful service. Will be a yearly outing
The young woman who seated us wanted to put us at a table we didn't want, for some reason. Even though there were window table available, which I wanted. I asked if people could reserve specific tables and she said they couldn't. So then, of course, there was no reason not to seat our family at the window table we wanted (since the tables were set for the same number of people). This was an unfortunate beginning, but after that, everything was excellent and we had a lovely time! It's expensive, but it's become a special once-a-year Christmas tradition for us.
Dropped down for dinner from sparkling hills resort. Drove as the walk in sections is quite dark.
We are very pleased with the quality of the food, the good wine list with fair prices but especially the excellent and cheerful service (thanks Jill)
Great meal - their weekend specials are terrific! We had a great time and will certainly go back.
The food was amazing. The service I'd describe as either absent minded or indifferent. It took a while for her to come over, then a drink was missed and an incorrect drink was brought (I ordered a Shiraz and was brought a syrah). We then basically didn't see her again until we were done eating, no check back. I could understand this if it was busy but we were one of maybe 3 tables in the whole restaurant. On the plus side she didn't charge us for desert but I have the distinct feeling she just forgot to add it to the bill.
Food and service were excellent. So nice to have it open weekends through the off season.
There were 4 of us for Breakfast and we cannot complain about what we enjoyed for our meal. It was unfortunate that we were there on the last day that they were open so some things were not available as they had stopped stocking up.
Our waiter Jesse was super and saved the evening. Food and ambiance sub par..... bery mediocre.....
We really enjoyed the meal at The Range Lounge & Grill and our server was lovely. I had e-mailed ahead of time that it was my husband's 60th Birthday so could we have a small chocolate dessert with a candle. When we arrived, I told our server that we were celebrating a birthday also. We didn't receive the dessert--and she didn't seem to pick up on it that it was a special evening for us.
I also called ahead and asked for a bottle of Pinot Gris to be put in our room for our arrival. I left a message on the answering machine as nobody picked up at the restaurant. This did not happen either. I was quite disappointed since I was hoping to make this a special weekend for my husband.
We were seated inside and we were cold and it was noisy. The food was okay. We had a vegan with and she did not like what was served.
We've been coming here annually for 15+ years for the golf but the food has been hit and miss at dinner. Locals highly recommended the short ribs at $19 so 3 of the 4 of us ordered those. Except they were $39 at dinner ($19 is the bar price not the dining room). We ordered them anyway because we were told they were excellent. Wrong. The portion was ridiculously small. The meat was dry and the polenta was a piece the size of 3 french fries tied together and deep fried. We were all disappointed. On top of that our server thought mightly highly of herself and she was doing us a favour by giving us mediocre service. When we got the bill we asked her to split it down the middle and she couldn't do the math. She told us to do it ourselves so I told her to get her phone and do it herself, which she did begrudgingly. Shelley, one of the other servers in the morning and at lunch, on the other hand, is phenomenal! Too bad all of the servers can't be like her.
For the price we paid and the service we got it's better to go up to Sparkling Hill for dinner. Very sad because we love the golf and the resort so much.
Booked table, we were put on a table which was in an open air with plastic sides, cold. Starter came out which was ok and then while eating starter the mains came out, waitress saw we were still eating and rushed back to kitchen which was put back under hot plate, as my dish was a Caesar salad the lettuce was limp.
Enjoyed our time at Predator Ridge and our ding at the Range Bar & Grill, thank you Nicole for the excellent service, you are a gem!!
