We are among the few self-standing winery restaurants that bake our own bread and grow our own certified organic vegetables while pairing our meals with the guidance of our Winemaker, Martin Werner's discriminating palate . We are blessed with a renowned culinary team that chooses an ever-changing menu. With a variety of ingredients picked right from our garden, Proprietor Paul Harber and Executive Chef Ross Midgley not only create a seasonal menu but also preserve as much as possible so that going local is not just a seasonal term. We are extremely proud of our service team and confident in the level of hospitality that will be shown to your table whenever you choose to dine with us at Ravine.

We went to the tasting room first and sampled wine so we knew what the perfect choice would be when we had our lunch. We chose Chardonnay that perfectly complemented the Raspberry point oysters. Tracy in the tasting room was charming and so helpful!

The Overall experience was great, but there was a table around us that was extremely noisy. They took away the ability to have a nice quiet conversation with my wife.

Very nice lunch with good service and great ambiance. Would like to see daily specials and a more frequent change in menu items because we frequently bring guests. Great Beet and Goat Cheese salad can be done gluten free..
One of our favourite restaurants in a great winery

We visited Ravine for the first time for our anniversary. Lovely setting and great views. The food is another story. Based on the reviews, we were expecting a more interesting menu. We both had the pork chops which we both regretted. The menu described the chops as “grilled”. We expected freshly grilled chops but got chops that appear to have been grilled sometime before and simply reheated. They were well done and tasteless. The fact that we were not asked how we liked them should have tipped us off. In summary, the worst meal we had in our 4 days in the Niagara region. On a positive note though, the pizza served on the patio seemed great. Too bad, we could not eat it inside the restaurant.

We had a delicious dinner and had asked for a quiet table as it was my husbands birthday. The hostess had two choices for us when we arrived, which was very nice. But most restaurants acknowledge a special occasion with something , and nothing was said or given to him, which I found disappointing. Other than that the experience was excellent.

Excellent service & confy ambiance; very good local food: Chicken liver parfait was incredible! Nevertheless, We were decieved by the limited red wine list: Sélection of 6 red wine at 60$ . Difficult to imagine that we were having dinner in a winery. Guess their wine is so good that they went out of stock !

We thoroughly enjoyed this lovely rustic winery. The food choices were limited but wonderful. I had the fish and my wife had the vegetarian entree. The appetizer cheese board featured 3 outstanding local cheeses and accompanying treats. The service was exceptional. Very romantic setting. Would highly recommend it to all.

Delicious locally made wine, friendly helpful service, and a wonderful view of the vineyards heading off down the hill. But the premium priced comfort food for dinner was below expectations. Maybe we'll try Ravine again for lunch on their outdoor patio next summer season.

Disappointed on arrival to hear that we could not dine on the patio, even though it was half empty. The patio cannot be reserved, but apparently if you request patio in the comments section of your reservation, they will hold a table for you. We had to sit inside on a beautiful 24 degree day and froze from the air conditioning. Service was adequate, food was quite good. Ravine's wines are quite overpriced. This was an anniversary dinner, and the only real memory was being very cold.

2nd visit to Ravine. First time was for a quiet dinner for two. This time lunch for 4 plus a two year old. We ate on the patio and junior was able to run and play on the lawn allowing us to enjoy the food and conversation. Three burgers and a pork chop did nor disappoint.

We went here for our 35th anniversary. I mentioned it twice to the restaurant and they didn’t recognize it in any way. Also there are a lot of families and kids at this winery. Not a quiet place for a couple. The food is good. Service is good. A casual family dinner spot. Bring the kids and the dog.

The food and service are terrific, however do not eat here on a hot day. It was over 28* C outside and the building is made of wood, essentially a sauna. For some reason the manager refused to turn on the A/C until we were done, it was a very uncomfortable hour and a half.

I used to really enjoy the experience of eating at Ravine Vuneyard.
The tomato salad was a joke both in size and in taste. The tomatoes were borderline bad and the there were about 7 kernels of charred corn - not kidding - on the tomato. It was missing a lot of flavour and some ripe tomatoes.
The charcuterie board was ok and so was the cheese board.
The cocktails were unfortunately another miss. The Barnyard Table cocktail tasted like beer.
We were disappointed.

I had been to an event at Ravine many years ago, and since returning, am amazed at what they have done to the facilities as a whole! The food was exceptional and the wine pairings were perfect. It was a busy Sunday afternoon, and there was a wedding also happening on the grounds but staffing or parking was not an issue. I am very happy with our experience here and would definitely recommend and return!

We got there early to request the patio (the website says you can’t reserve this) however when we arrived, they said they have had a few requests for the patio (made online) so there was nothing for us. We were an hour early and there was no one there. I was annoyed. I recommend requesting the patio even though it says you can’t... other than that, it was great. Beautiful atmosphere.

We have been going to Ravine for the past few years and always enjoy it. The servers are friendly and the wine and cocktails never disappoint. The one area for improvement would be the offerings for vegetarians as the curerrnt Cauliflower steak is lacklustre. Generally when you go to a restaurant and see a cauliflower steak on the option, you realize that this is a cop out item. From such a great restaurant I expect better going forward. In terms of cauliflower steaks it was alright, but highly uninspiring.

We had lunch here on a Friday afternoon. The setting is beautiful and the ambiance is fresh and inviting with a rustic twist. There were four of us, and we ordered Lamb Carpaccio, Whitefish Cakes, Spiced Cauliflower 'steaks', Ravine Burger and Duck Confit. The Hits: The fishcakes were perfect, and enjoyed by all. The burger was cooked and topped perfectly. And the duck confit was the highlight of the meal—absolutely scrumptious. The Misses: The lamb carpaccio was disappointing… quite bland and needed seasoning. The cauliflower looked and tasted like a few pieces of cauliflower with spices on it. It cannot pass as a main, should not even be playfully called steak and should be half the price. While delicious, it was a big disappointment (imagine paying $26 for 1/3 head of cauliflower with seasoning and a navy bean salad). It took a while for our food to arrive, but otherwise the service was fine. Overall, we had a great meal, and would definitely come back.
