Food was excellent. Had salad as appetizer large enough to share. Presentation of food very nice, we both had the chicken and enjoyed.
Would have liked to be offered fresh ground pepper instead of waiting til I was halfway done and having to ask for it..chocolate brownie was delicious
Our waitress was excellent Was not pushy and always had a smile for us. Good sense of humour too
Enjoyed our evening at Rawley's but have to say that it filled up towards the end of our dinner. The noise made it difficult to hear others at our table and the service began to suffer towards the end. Over all though the food very good and the place looked great as always. We came by boat and although they asked us to call ahead so that they could have someone assist with the docking no one showed so a fellow boater was good enough to assist.
The restaurant has an evening sunset view that looks out on to the Severn waterway after lock 45.
Really great summer evening at Rawley. We try to dine at Rawley every summer during our vacation. This year marked a high point in our dining experience. Food was very good across the board and the service was extremely friendly and efficient. There are limited option for dressing up and going our to dinner in this area so terrific to see Rawley maintaining a high standard!
We live on the lake that Rawley Lodge services , we were very excited to see their new weekly specials and invited 2 other couples to join us for Sunday night roast beef special. The service and ambiance was lovely but unfortunately the food was not good. The roast beef was tough, low grade gravy sauced all over it . I called and spoke to manager without any acknowledgement of the issue. Rawley Lodge was a very special place to go for dinner but far too expensive to enjoy on a regular basis , this would have been a great way to go on a more regular basis. Unfortunate.
My husband and I enjoyed 2 nights away without children for the first time in over 2 years. This was such a good decision. We ate at Rawley Resort because Christies Inn didn't have a restaurant.
The ambiance was amazing, Chris, our server made our night out a memorable one. He was professional and attentive but not overwhelming. i would highly recommend and we would continue to go back. My husband had the cowboy steak, which he said was one of the best steaks he has ever had in a restaurant, I have the roast beef special. it was delicious.
Chris you are incredible and we are so lucky to have had you as a server.
We had an amazing evening. Everything was first class. I rated the noise level a little high only because there was a big birthday party group in the bar for the first hour but after they left we enjoyed the piano player in the background. Thank you all for making our anniversary dinner special. We will be back.
Excellent calamari. Friendly, but poor service (no check in, no water refill). Very confused feature dish (lamb linguine), many strong flavours that fought with each other rather than compliment each other. The dish was actually not good.
Went there for my father’s birthday. Have had nice meals there before. However this time was a pretty big let down. Arrived and was seated at a great table, ordered drinks, and then food. After my father got his first appetizer, it took over 30mins to get our mains. 4 tables around us that had gotten there AND ordered after us, got all of their food (which were items we had ordered as well) 10 mins before us. Once the meals came, we were pretty disappointed. I saw a couple at a table order a Caesar salad, which looked rather larger, so I ordered it, alongside another appetizer for my main. Once it got there, the portion was halved. I asked if this was a side, and he said they were all one size. The table across had a salad twice as big. My father, who ordered the prime rib special, asked for it rare. We were told it only came medium, which he easily agreed upon. It came out like 3 slices of brown shoe leather. If the food comes out extremely late, you better make sure it comes out right. My father doesn’t like to cause a fuss, so he ate it, but I had one bite, and told him he should’ve sent it back. I’ve worked in kitchens for 5 years and as a chef for 2, and this symphony of errors is pretty inexcusable. They did kindly take my father’s prime rib off the bill at the very end once I said something, but the quantity of errors and how they were (or were not) handled left us pretty disappointed. Just seemed like no one was taking responsibility/ownership of our issues, which is a sign of poor management. Also, I had indicated on OpenTables booking portal that we were celebrating his birthday, but it was obviously not recognized by the restaurant, not sure who’s to blame there.
All in all, pretty disappointing.
Fantastic meal and the view is beautiful. Prices are reasonable and the service was great. Will be back.
An very enjoyable dinner with friends. We drove from Orilila. Well worth the drive! Loved the atmosphere, the service, and the food. Wish there had been a spot for before dinner drinks and a more formal area on the deck for coffee and dessert. The menu provided excellent variety and portion sizes were satisfactory for all. We would definitely return when in the area. Go try it out. You won't regret it.
Beautiful setting, great food! One of my fav places to eat :-)
Chose Light House 45 from the internet for a special occassion. Great food & ambiance, a winner!
We went to trivia night and is was great fun. I hope they do it on a regular basis.
Excellent spot for a quiet escape. Rooms are appointed immaculately and spacious. The only recommnedations I would have are to maybe offer a boat ride around the islands, provide some tours to local towns and maybe some more in house entertainment. some minor additions to the bathroom (hooks for PJ's and hand towels close to the basins etc .) But other than those trivialities, good spot. Take bug spray though as this is in cottage country.
The food was exquisite. Best salad ever - Lock45, and the seafood risotto was filled with flavour - definitely delicious. My husband had the seafood chowder and he loved it! Our waiter Kyle was attentive and helpful, we did not feel rushed. It was a special anniversary for us and the evening did not disappoint.
As always we had a great meal. We were not rushed and enjoyed a two and a half hour anniversary meal. Thanks.
It was our first experience at Rawley since it is under the present ownership. Our dining experience was good but we felt that the bread basket should be included with our meals and not an extra. Since we know some of the history of the original building we saw no evidence of that. We were disappointed that the rich history of the resort has been lost. The price of the rooms are too high for us to stay there so we stayed at Christie’s Mill.
We were at the resort to celebrate our anniversary. I made my reservation through open table to have our dinner at the resort restaurant.
On the afternoon before the dinner, I approached one of the servers in the dining room to confirm our reservation and ensure that we were at a table with a good view as requested through open table. This particular staff member was extremely short and curt, stating that they had lots of reservations that evening and that she couldn’t guarantee anything, etc etc. I informed her I had made this reservation days earlier on Open Table and had stated ‘table with nice view’. She continued to make excuses and not listen or try to accommodate my reasonable request. This was a real put-off and definitely not a good first impression!
Despite this, our actual meal experience was great. Thankfully we had a server who was attentive and polite. The server I had interacted with earlier was serving as hostess but never acknowledged us even though she passed our table several times while we were eating. Other servers said hello, etc. Maybe this is an issue with an employee that doesn’t understand customer service!!
The dinner and the breakfast were both very good. My one complaint is that there was no dairy free alternative for my coffee. Lactose intolerance is very well established and to not have any alternative is unacceptable. This resort is somewhat remote so I couldn’t even go somewhere on my own to get this.
The food and atmosphere is always wonderful here. I would highly recommend for a nice, relaxing, delicious meal.
Excellent food, service and ambience. The only slight critisism is that one set of windows appears to have broken seals. Looks somewhat "tacky"
Our dining experience was poor compared to last summer. They only offered a Pre-fixed Menu which we didn't care for and it was limited, so we ordered one between us. We ordered drinks before dinner and all the ingredients weren't available. Our appetizer caesar salad was too small and soaked in dressing, it took over 30 minutes between the appetizer and the main course, that was too long since the restaurant was not busy. And the salmon was over-cooked. The dessert we took to go. They really need to pickup their game for this summer season.
Everything was fantastic from the table to the tea! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and our server Paul was delightful. The view is terrific and I imagine even more stunning at night or at sunset. We will for sure be back and I would recommend this resort to everyone!
Love Rawley resort . We live in Victoria harbour and it’s so close , peaceful and the food is amazing . It’s our place to go . Summer or winter it’s beautiful, comfortable . Highly recommend their steak and lamb !!.
We visited with our 4 year old grandchild who loved his pizza dinner! He was regarded as a special guest and our waiter Paul made him feel very welcome and comfortable. Our dinners were excellent and we were very happy with the service and the ambiance. The wine selection was great by the glass and full bottle. We have visited Rawley a number of times both for fine dining and accomodation and would definitely suggest it to friends!
Went for Barrielicious on Saturday night. What a treat. Place was wonderfully busy and full of life. Fabulous three course meal. We started with Caesar salad and it was different and so tasty. Not a creamy dressing and so well plated. We both splurged on the rib steak and it was huge..flavourful, tender and cooked to perfection. we finished off with an off the menu dessert because of a no sugar restriction and without a blink beautiful and tasty berries appeared and made a perfect end to a perfect evening. Alley was our server and she was smart. honest, friendly and attentive made our evening perfect. Such a great evening to celebrate a birthday and share a little escape.
The food was very good, beautifully presented and the place is very nicely decorated. There were a couple of bobbles with the service, although the place wasn't that busy in my mind. Overall a good night out. It was a nice touch having the live piano music playing during dinner, but it seemed he barely started and then went on a break and we left prior to his return what seemed to be almost a hour later. We had picked this evening because of the live music promised.
Dear guest, Thank you for sharing your experience at the Lighthouse45 Port Severn. I am delighted that you enjoyed your evening with us. This will also give us the opportunity to address your concern with the entertainer. We look forward to seeing you soon! Kind Regards, Shan
A fantastic Thanksgiving lunch for the whole family group! Chef opened menu options (both lunch and dinner menus) to accomodate dietary needs. Visually beautiful and delicious food.
The service was very pleasant and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. Beautiful location to watch the sun set right on the water. The food was decent but I found the pasta a bit on the dry side and the fish was overcooked, however the sauce on the fish was delicious and rich with flavour. I would definitely give this place another shot in hope's that perhaps something else may be better. Our server was very knowledgable and accomodating and really enjoyed her personality. Warm and friendly. Thanks to the staff for a nice night out.
We love going to this restaurant for a nice lunch or dinner outside in the summer . Outside is preferable for us but inside is very nice too. The service is great and the food is wonderful . Beautiful views of the lake year round and lots of boats to look at during the summer season. We highly recommend this place.
The dining experience is rated 5* for presentation, quality, taste, service & atmosphere. We plan on returning!
We really enjoyed our stay at Rawley Resort and will definitely come back. Staff were friendly and the dinner and breakfast meals were delicious good quality meals.
Kirsti was an excellent server and was making sure everything was fine, excellent service
Very friendly, helpful staff.
Food was good.
We were in the 2 bedroom apartment units, nice, clean.
Suggestions: AC unit is noisy.
Would visit again.
Celebrated 53rd anniversary. Exceptional ambiance, food and service. True gem of
Southern Georgian Bay
Looking forward to another visit SOON
We were a party of 7 for dinner and we all enjoyed all aspects of our dining experience as rated above. We would definitely revisit this venue in the future and strongly recommend it to friends and family. First class and are privileged to have such a facility in our cottage neighborhood.

Food was good we would go here again! I really like the area ... Georgian bay is truly breathe taking
Great outside seating with a nice view on the lake. The calamari were delicious!
The restaurant is beautiful and the service was wonderful, however, in this day and age, it would be wonderful if they could offer vegan meal options. We ended up paying almost $140 for salads and sides of vegetables and potatoes. The food was good, but I’d prefer a meal rather than just piecing together side dishes.
