Great place for my birthday dinner
This was a birthday treat, a perfect ending to a great day. We've been enjoying the Real Seafood company for decades, and they just keep getting better.
My wife and I had a very nice dinner on Sat. evening 10/13. The food and service were excellent, our server Danny did a great job. We look forward to returning in the future. I would recommend the Real Seafood to anyone looking for good food and great service.
Small portions and food temperature was warm
Good food, good service and excellent choice for a birthday dinner.
We have been going to the Real Seafood Company Ann Arbor for over 20 years. If your a seafood lover this is the place for seafood fine dining. The food is amazing, will go back anytime we can!
Was there for Lobster fest ! Fun time, great service & cheesecake
Had wonderful seafood (again) where we've always had excellent food and good times. The only downside this time was where we were seated - it was more noisy than normal (small children) and if we had been seated elsewhere in the restaurant, it would have been different (the restaurant was only half-filled as it was a Monday evening).
We took advantage of the lobster special. They were delicious and so was just about everything else. Great service.
Lobster Bisque was to die for! Great food & attentive service. A delightful experience ... esp. post-Wolverine victory!
As usual - fantastic food and service. We always enjoy this restaurant pre/post game on a UofM game day.
Every year l look forward to Lobster Fest.
Lobster paella is so delicious. It tastes better than the one I had in Valencia, Spain!
Always enjoyable great wait staff. Food was great excellent wine.
For the past several years this is THE place for my birthday dinner. The miso sea bass is phenomenal. Our service was superior as Terrance knew everything seasonal and just so friendly. The entire menu is special and one cannot pass up the pre-meal bead. Just a great place in A2.
We are old friends of Real Seafood and that is because it is consistently great. Service, smiles and seafood!
We had an early reservation and had to wait in the rain for them to open the door...the food was good, but our service was incredibly slow.
Mike was great! Awesome service. Good cocktails and really enjoyed the sweet and spicy calamari.
Some of the best scallops I have had and my husband really enjoyed his crab cakes
The lobster was great. Pecan crusted chicken was ok. Ambiance good. Overall 4/5 stars. Need more food for us non seafood/fish eaters! 😉
Went for Lobsterfest and had a wonderful dinner. Waiter was a bit "green", but pleasant enough.
Always a good night out! Wait staff is always friendly and accommodating.
Excellent food and service was very good. Noise level is very important to us and Real Seafood is very good for enjoying a great meal and some conversation.
Enjoyed my Lobster Fest dinner very much even though my friend had to cancel at the last minute, so I ate alone. My waiter took good care of me!
Took an hour just to order, we barely saw our waiter. Then the food took another hour just to get apps. Overall very average food quality too, I felt it was on par with red lobster. We had a party of 6 and none of us thought it was any more than average, at best.
The food was delicious but the timing of food coming out was very slow. We had 30 minutes between each course. Too long to wait for the next item. My husband almost got up to leave.
It was lobster fest. Good lobster at great price. Lots of families made it hectic for anniversary celebration.
Service was slow but waiter apologetic.
Lobster fest was amazing, food was good and came out quickly.
I was kind of disappointed in the food. Ambiance is nice and in a good location on Main St. My Paella was just so so and my husbands fish was overcooked. Our grandchildren got the Miso glazed Chilean sea bass which they thought was good. I tasted it and I've had much better at several other restaurants including Mitchell's in Birmingham.
The lobster in my paella was good and I think I just should have ordered a whole lobster which was the special that night.
Great night even though it was a home Michigan game. One bummer was that they ran out of Lobster tail but the food we did order was amazing!
Went there for their lobster fest the paella was a flavor fest ,The saffron rice was spectacular definitely give it five stars
Even though it was a very busy night the service was great and were not rushed by the staff
Our drinks, appetizers, and desserts were very good. Salads and main course were lacking. I found the house dressing and salad to be bitter. Ordered Paella Valencia and was very dissapointed. It was not the classic recipe. The rice was not flavorful. Nice lobster and shellfish, but very bland. Could not find one piece of chorizo in the dish. Lots of liquid in bottom of dish. Also had new england clam chowder that also missed the mark. Nice waiter but we go for the food. Probably wont return
Very pricey for what we got. Cole slaw was flavorless and my red skin potatoes were dry and chewy Like they have been sitting under a heater lamp and made hours before. I eat fish at many restaurants and I’ve had many wonderful fish dinners with veggies for under $20 and this restaurant was very pricey. I got a trout and it was 24.95 without any fresh veggies and flavorless coleslaw. Came recommended so I was sad that the experience and the cost Made us sad!
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal!
Our food was cold. My husband got an extremely small portion of perch and paid $1 less than my whole lobster. Parts of my lobster were tough to cut. Over the past few visits we’ve noticed the portions have gotten smaller but the prices higher, the Blue Plate Special as a specific example. This has always been our go to restaurant for special occasions but have decided to try another next time.
Service was very good. Food was prepared well. Serving size was disappointing for me. I had swordfish and thought it was about 60percent of what it us d to be.
Our server was awesome and so was the food ...the Miso Chilean Bass is tops!
Good food, great service, noise level high due to football crowd!
Arrived a bit late for dinner (2100) and ordered oysters and two entries (king crab and stuffed salmon). Oysters and salad came out quickly but had an issue with the salmon - seems the first try didn't meet their standards so they cooked another one. Held up the meal but they made it right by taking if off the bill. Friendly and professional staff - would go back again.
The Brussel sprout appetizer and bread were awesome. The jambalaya and seafood pasta were fabulous. The stuffed flounder has changed, still good, but I preferred the previous recipe. The Shanghai Style Spinach was flavorless, a disappointment. Service was awesome and the atmosphere was very good. Overall a very enjoyable meal.
