Reds Wine Tavern
We were sat near the entrance to the kitchen. This was not a good table and it was noisy and busy. A shame, as I thought I have given enough time to have a less hectic location
Had a great Valentines dinner, our server Grace was very friendly and provided amazing service. Really made our night! Atmosphere and food were great.
Great spot for after work drinks and food! Always easy to get a table and great value.
We really enjoyed our time here. The food was amazing! Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly! Our waitress was very attentive and always checked to see that we were enjoying everything. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. I will definitely be coming back!
amazing food, great drinks. On the pricier side, no happy hour specials until 9 which sucks. Once in a while type of place.
Friendly, attentive staff. Good for drinks and dinner. Great ambiance.
Good food and good service. Can be a little noisy over the lunch hour.
Excellent food. More than just your basic pub/bar type food. Excellent flavours and lots of options for everyone!
Alice served us in the bar and she was fantastic. Thanks!
I've raved about this dish before but I'll tell you again, the chicken carbonera is the best. Don't change a thing. There's so many restaurants out there that don't know how to make this properly. One place FRIES the egg like it's breakfast or something. Can you believe that? You guy's keep it real. Thank you.
Music WAY too loud. Sounded like a night club. Inappropriate for lunch.
Everything was great but it very difficult to have a conversation with the noise level
Everything was awesome. Food and Wine was delish, Grace took good care of us! Will be back next week.
Server came to us really quickly after we we’re seated and when we needed more time, he never came back.
I was irritated not to be seated in the upstairs restaurant. Instead I was seated at a high top in the very noisy bar area. It was not conducive to a pleasant conversation. I will not book here again for dinner.
Was hoping for a nice dinner with some friends. Arrived early and were told we could wait in the lounge, all good. Put our stuff in the cost check which seemed unsecured but didn’t have any valuables. Told our waitress we had a reservation and at our time we were seated, in the lounge. Very strange but didn’t want to make a scene and just enjoy the time out. Our waitress seemed rushed and seemed to be pressuring us to get us to order. Food was good, drinks alright, very noisy, and terrible for conversation. I’ve been here before after work and it has been better. Maybe an off night but wouldn’t recommend going forward.
Had dinner and drinks on Wednesday during their half-price bottled wine special. Food was really good, great service. I would recommend
Consistent food and service. Great atmosphere at lunch.
I felt the prices were high with the portions served. Had the service been GREAT, than
I probably would not have focused on this as much. With mediocre service and food, I would
not come back. I think the Keg or Red Lobster etc., might give bigger portions and I would likely
go back to those ones again. Half price wine was appreciated and we indulged on that. I usually don't purchase a bottle. Thanks.
Food was great wait staff not very attentive. Butter tart was sooo amazing!
When making the reservation, I was asked if my visit were for business, to which I answered yes. I expected to be able to hear my colleagues speak, and unfortunately could not. Otherwise, the food, wine and the service were terrific.
All good but too noisy. Not convenient for business conversations
Their new appetizers lineup is disappointing, and the tacos were tiny and bland. The Mediterranean Lamb Salad was excellent though, as usual.
Reds is a good lunch spot, lots of options for all types of diners. They are rather efficient. Not the most cost effective option, but good food. Arctic Char special $30 CAD, a little steep. Efficient service, friendly staff. It is loud though!
Very good place. I really liked the diversity on the menu...sushi, curry, burgers steaks seafood appetizers etc. Think of it as a high end tavern.
Food was amazing. Service very fast and prompt. Definitely recommend to anyone for any occasion!
Service, as always, was spectacular.
Tried to daily curry special that day, it was atrociously spicy. For those interested in ordering, make sure you advise (or at least inquire) the server the degree of "heat" before ordering.
Way too noisy.
Way too Noisy, Good Service by the Waitress, but the quality of food is typical road house with a dressed up atmosphere. Nothing was outstanding, mediocre at best and very expensive for what it is and what is offered. A crowded loud place for Young People to gather and watch the TV Screens or Socialize after work.
We went for New Years Eve dinner, and they had both a prixe fix menu and the regular. The prixe was excellent, an appetizer, main, and dessert, with good sized portions (not shrunken like some places).
I had the lamb which was phenomenal, and my date had the steak and lobster. Absolutely fantastic, these guys can definitely cook from scratch well, and the desserts were impeccable.
The service was fantastic, highly recommend REDS and hope they continue to offer great meals!
Went for New Year’s Eve, great late night specials. Good food and great service
Oxana, our server, was fantastic. The ambiance/atmosphere was lovely, tho it was not served by the high bar-stool type seating throughout. Our appetizer, desert & steak was good - not great, but good - but sadly, my companion's was a gristly let-down, as were the cold sides that came with my steak.
Food was all presented very nicely and the kitchen took care to ensure that one guest with food allergies was taken care of. Staff were friendly and not overly pushy for us to hurry.
Soup came with no spoon and was difficult trying to find someone to bring one and during the soup someone came around and collected my utensils so there were none for the main course. Again had to find someone to bring me utensils.
The salad was nice with the grilled tuna although there was very little favour to the dressing.
Overall Reds is a popular downtown spot and nicely upscale but not over the top so well suited to anyone looking for a nice meal.
Fan broke in the kitchen so no food service was available. You had to walk through a cloud to get into the restaurant.
Overpriced, terrible ambiance, steak cooked poorly, truffle fries way over salted, poor service (waited 20 minutes after coffee first delivered for server to ask if we wanted more coffee)...in short, it is everything you'd expect from a high priced location with high rent...they cut corners everywhere and, frankly, it was a miserable evening.
The waiter charged us $28 for a glass of wine without disclosing it to us
Service was just ok. Not what you would expect when you are paying 150 on your bill. Hardly saw the waitress at all. Food was cold and bland. Wouldn't return for dinner. Maybe for drinks as the atmosphere was ovely.
At first the service was terrible. We went on a Saturday night and it wasn’t very busy at all. We were seated and waited 15 plus minutes and had to ask a server walking by us if we had a server assigned to us. She apologized that they were short staffed as someone called in sick. She took our drink order and when she returned she had spoken to the manager and said due to the wait Reds would be picking up the first round of drinks. The rest of the night went very well, the food was delicious and the staff were very attentive.
The service was awful. I wanted to have dinner but only stayed for a drink as it took almost 20 minutes to receive a drink. Would not go back.
The shared seating couch was disruptive when another group was always moving the shared couch.
