- LLavaDublin •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoSat where a young woman was expertly crafting pasta. The manager warmly welcomed us. I felt like I was both in Bologna and Calabria. Roberto accepted my efforts to speak Italian and gave us detailed insight into the special dishes on offer. The olive oil was bursting with flavour, perfect for dipping bread. The suppli di cacio e pepe was perfect with the cheese. We shared the sformato di patate which made with wafer thin layers of potato, porccini, artichokes, delicious. I tried Balanzoni, stuffed ricotta. The butter and sage was a perfect marriage. My friend had the Cappellacci with zucca as main, devine. I had some glasses of dry Calabrian white wine which came on Roberto's recommendation, so glad I took his advice. Every mouthful of food was full exquisite flavours. I have never tasted such a light, alcohol free, mascarpone Tiramisu. We also had the trio Bigne, advised to start with chocolate fondant, then pistachio cream and lemon custard. Incredibly delicious. The staff were passionate about their food and guests. Everybody was wrapped in a Southern Italian welcome. I can't wait to come here again, be advised to book 1 or 2 months in advance. Roberto, Grano sings with your creativity and personality. Grazie.More infoGrano RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Italian• Stoneybatter•4.9
