Our waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive, 10/10, The food , setting and atmosphere was also excellent Top marks , would definitely recommend this restaurant , will definitely be back … We’ll done all from behind the scenes to front of house , our server took great pride in his job .. A wonderful Christmas gift of afternoon tea, food and drinks were outstanding

We were lucky to be able to secure a table after a day out walking in the hills,we looked for somewhere to eat on the way back to our holiday cottage and The Allanton Inn fitted the bill. Very friendly staff and service,good real ale and absolutely superb food! The belly pork stuffed with haggis was amazing as were the honey and chilli roasted carrots. All in all very enjoyable and a nice friendly atmosphere from both staff and local drinkers. Will definitely return. 10/10
