Schafer’s Restaurant is making a new home at Eagle Bend. The award-winning Schafer’s Restaurant is set to move into the new Eagle Bend Golf Course Clubhouse this summer. Abruzzo Italian Kitchen opened in December 2017. As is the Italian tradition, our focus is on the quality of our ingredients and simplicity of preparation. We cook by hand, from scratch, including all of our fresh pastas and wood fired pizzas. In addition to the Italian staples, we offer an extensive shared plates selection, grilled steaks, fresh seafood, and a small but decadent dessert list, all prepared in-house and served alongside an Italian-focused cocktail program and an Italian-centric wine list. Hospitality is the core of what we do: our staff is warm, genuine, knowledgeable, and attentive, and we pride ourselves on creating memorable experiences for every guest that walks through our doors.

Saketome Sushi - Big Fork

Saketome Sushi is a sushi bar known for its wide selection of seafood cuisine prepared from freshly caught fish. The restaurant has a quaint décor with spacious interiors and has artistic wallpapers on the walls with fish-shaped glass works all over the premises. It has a casual and inviting ambiance, while the noise levels are average, making it a nice place to have lunch and dinner with family and friends. The waiting staff is multilingual, and provides quick and professional service. The menu at Saketome Sushi is divided into several categories, including appetizers, sashimi/nigri, makimono and specialty rolls. Aside from the sushi, some of the customer favorites are uni naked, hamachi sashimi, California maki and ahi nigri. It has a full bar featuring a diverse range of drinks such as wine, sake, beer and cocktails. Saketome Sushi offers al fresco dining experience to customers who prefer to eat in fresh air.

Ciao Mambo (Mambo Italiano)

Dine in festive surrounds at Ciao Mambo. This trendy restaurant sets the stage for a delightful dining experience with authentic Italian dishes, wine, soft lighting and background music. Visit for dinner and savor freshly made pasta dishes, topped with rich sauces prepared with the freshest ingredient for delicious flavor. The menu also includes oven-fired gourmet New-York style pizza, appetizers salads and even a special “bambini” menu for kids. We were there to celebrate my birthday and our 30 year anniversary. One of the nicest meals we have enjoyed. We will definitely return and recommend Mercantile to our friends.

Great service (Gace), upscale atmosphere though the front room catches a cold draft because of the proximity to the entrance. Enjoyed crab cakes, shrimp cocktail, arranging apps, entrees were scallops and a steak special along with au gratin potatoes. All the food was top notch with a great presentation. Steak special and the beef cuts in general are pricey. Overall, it was great.

Our party of 3 dined here on a quiet Tuesday night on the off season. Service was fantastic and fun without being overbearing. Our party ordered 3 entrees, 2 appetizers and 2 desserts. Every item we ordered was creative, carefully crafted, and cooked and seasoned to perfection. Most importantly, everything was delicious. The bartender was also excellent and made me some unique cocktails based on my preference with homemade spiced simple syrup and fresh squeezed blood oranges. We eat out a lot, and this has got to be the best food in the valley. Try it. You won't be disappointed.
