Menu was 1/3 of what showed online. Don’t want to accommodate changing the type of pasta but then decide to do so and instead of getting fettuccine I received several types of noodles with a very bland red sauce and left out other ingredients that was suppose to be in the dish. And when I asked about the ingredients and the different types of noodles the person was very rude and didn’t want to hear my complaint and just took my dish and left. Also the dirt Italian restaurant I have been to and was never served or offered any bread.

We loved Renzo's and will definitely make a reservation when we're back next spring! Everything was so delicious and homemade as you would expect. The wine selection was great for our tastes (dry to semi-dry reds) and service was friendly and just the right amount of attentiveness and privacy. I can see the Old Vegas vibe from the décor that others mentioned, we personally enjoyed it and it was different. Get the house salad, simple yet one of the best ways to start the meal!

Positives: - Wait staff were friendly and attentive - Renzo himself visited tables, checking on service - Food was delicious (shrimp scampi for me, salmon filet for my wife) - Quiet restaurant Not As Positive: - Price (though food was delicious, not worth what was being charged) - Decor appeared dated, almost cartoonish - Could see through the window one of the cooks not wearing mask (COVID concern) - Very limited selection on menu and wine list - Two desserts described to us by server, one of which sounded delicious - hopes dashed when told that dessert was actually not available Overall, it was an okay experience, but disappointed at that price point. For that reason, I would not recommend.

A special evening at Renzo's: fresh, delicious, beautifully prepared meals served by professional staff in an almost fantasy setting. And the most delicious cannoli. Ever. My only quibble: an ungenerous serving of wine. I would recommend Renzo's nonetheless.

I’m not sure what I was expecting..we took a drive to Hendersonville and since it was National Pasta Day decides to have an Italian dinner. It was early in the evening so pretty quite. Our server had no personality and again because it was early, she was too bothersome. Not friendly, not talkative and that really affected the experience. The decor was just weird—a mix between a cheesy vegas hotel And your Italian great grandmothers living room. The portions of the food were a good size, tasted good and well presented.

My wife and I could tell the pasta was fresh made. What a treat. That’s rare at most restaurants. I had the lasagna. It was the second best lasagna I’ve ever had (the first was in Italy at a restaurant known for its lasagna). The sauce, or gravy, was just fantastic too. The server was a bit too attentive for my taste, but it didn’t bother my wife. Second time here, will definitely come back.

Had a great, well-paced meal in very pleasant surroundings. The barman stopped by to describe the process of making the martini he created which included adding an egg white to the shaker which gave the tart lime a very sweet, even, foamy cap. Awesome presentation, taste. Our entrees were delicious and visually interesting. Split the cannoli dessert with your date. More than enough for two. Adequate wine list with some great Italian standards. We'll be back next trip to Hendersonville.

Went for our anniversary and were seated at the Romeo and Juliette table. Very comfy and a fun addition to the celebration. We have eaten here many times, often on special occasions, and always enjoyed it. Tried the charcuterie (sliced meat and cheese platter) for 2 this time. Was a great way to slow down and enjoy a cocktail before ordering the rest of the meal.

My husband and I were visiting Hendersonville in the month of October. We eat out weekly and we love Hendersonville NC. We have eaten at many restaurants in the area and have always had a great experience. However, this was not one of them. I ordered egg plant and my husband the lasagna. We got one dinner salad to split and soup. My husband had a Bloody Mary and I had a glass of wine. We waited a long time to be served and we were surprised since there were not that many people in the restaurant. The portions were so small it took us about five minutes to finish our dinner. It was more like an appetizer than a meal. The people sitting across from us said to the waiter that their portions were too small. The waiter said they had recently been told by other customers they were serving too much food, so they had decided to serve smaller portions. Our dinner came to 140.00. The only thing I can say is the owner did take half off our dinner bill. I realize restaurants are having a rough time right now due to the pandemic. However, it is not a reason to rip customers off. We probably had about 20.00 worth of food including our drinks. We have no problem paying higher prices as long as it is deserved.

In the area after hiking, happen to be my friend’s birthday, wonderful experience especially our waitress Jill. Good wine selection, exceptional service, pasta with meatballs were delicious. A warm basket of bread would make it better.

I’d give it another chance, everyone has bad days. Forgot the appetizer. Also my risotto was undercooked. Server was very friendly and attentive, I don’t have a bad thing to say about the restaurant. My first visit just wasn’t the best.

The food would have been quite good if it had been warm. My lasagna was cold in the middle. We did enjoy the desserts. The server was friendly, and given that we were the only customers there for the entire time, it was quiet. Not sure I would go back.

Wonderful dinner again. Our server, Cristian, was very efficient, cordial and knowledgeable. Loved the St. Germain spritzer. My wife had shrimp scampi and loved it. I has a ceasar salad, very nicely prepared, and fettuccine bolognese. Very good and as good or better than what I had my last visit. We were a group of 7, seated upstairs and thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience.

First time there to celebrate our son’s 26th birthday. What a wonderful time. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Renzo coming around to ensure everything was good was a plus. Hearing him speak Italian with the table behind us made it perfect. Will definitely eat there again the next time we are in the area.

The food is delicious, the wine was wonderful, the service impeccable, but ... the running, loud pouncing and pounding noises emanating from the room above the restaurant was SO LOUD and continuous that the idea of a nice quiet dinner was destroyed - it was ‘that’ obnoxiously loud.

Downtown Asheville prices. Maybe that's why the restaurant was only 1/2 full on a Saturday night at 7pm. Food was definitely Italian, but not as seasoned tasting as what would be considered actual, authentic, recipes from the old country. Service was very slow. Our server was nice, but the only one working the second floor of the restaurant. They need an expediter to bring the food and free up the servers to concentrate on serving. A nice meal, but at these prices I can avoid the drive and find comparable meals at home in Asheville. Sorry to sound so negative. It was good, but not outstanding. And the service is better in Asheville. Was it worth the drive. Yes, for one time. If you want the Ashevilians coming down to Hendersonville, you need to step it up and be a better value or somehow make it an amazing dining experience.

It was Valentine’s Day and we were celebrating our birthday month. They made it extra special for us. Service was amazing and the filet mignon & lobster risotto was perfect. The owner past by our table and introduced himself along with another blonde lady who was very attentive. Can’t recall her name.

We were so pleased when Renzo's came to town and are happy to see it flourish. The new addition of the speak Easy and private rooms adds to its charm. In 2020 Renzo's has held two special events, (NYE and Valentine's) that many restaurants endeavor to offer but rarely succeed in filling expectations. Renzo's handled both with aplomb and kept all visitors informed. Both were 5 Star Evenings.

We were disappointed overall. I made the reservation two weeks before our date and we were seated upstairs where the tables are at most 18" apart. Instead of an intimate dinner for two, I felt we had dinner with strangers. The food was definitely good but not outstanding. The service was below average. My husband had to share his water with me (no refills). We even decided to forgo the dessert we had picked out. Just ready to leave.

We had never eaten at Renzo’s, but knew a few people who had been there. When we were searching for a nice place for Valentine’s Day, I looked them up on Open Table. The food is primarily Italian. My wife had eggplant parmigiana and I had a filet mignon with potatoes and spinach. We shared an arugula salad with almonds and pears. For dessert, we shared a puffed dessert with lemon filling that came with strawberries on top and chocolate gelato on the side. A Speakeasy is also available that is adjoining to the restaurant. Separate reservations may be made for the Speakeasy, or you may go in if you are dining in the restaurant. Renzo came by our table a couple of times to make sure everything was the way we expected it to be! The price was a little more than we would normally pay for a meal out, but okay for special occasions! All of the food was delicious!

Took my lady friend there for Valentines. Everything was excellent. I had the filet and she had the shrimp scampi. Everything was done timely and professionally. They even gave her a free rose! Certainly a place that we will return to in the future. Thanks for a great evening!!

Overall we thought it was a bit pricey for what you get. Veal chop was delicious. Sea bass, at $42, was good but nothing exciting. Biggest complaint was caprese appetizer...for $19 I was expecting delicious red tomatoes. What we got was a bland, sliced beefsteak tomato and two enormous basil leaves that required cutting up. I have to say, the mozzarella stuffed with a creamy, burrata-like filling was unusual and tasty and the prosciutto slice was good, but there was just one. The flatbread was also good. Abigail was a fine server and the ambiance, once we asked to be moved from the cramped, busy table by the kitchen window, was nice. In all, a good meal, but with so many other choices in the area, we won't be returning any time soon.

Food was delicious. A bit different from most Italian restaurants. The difference made the experience just that much better. I had the eggplant parm. The eggplant was thinly sliced and lightly breaded and then rolled and stuffed with fresh mozzarella and fresh basil leaves and chopped tomatoes. The sauce that covered the dish was light and very mild. Best eggplant I have ever had. My husband had the lasagne with meatballs. Again he said it was the best he had ever had. Not your typical dish. Everything was so fresh and homemade. I could go on and on about every little detail that was so impressive with the entire experience. But you need to experience it yourself.

Excellent - I think it's the best meal we've had in Hendersonville. The cuisine is truly authentic Italian, the atmosphere is romantic and charming and the service was personal and efficient but not rushed. We will definitely return on our next time in Hendersonville.
