Restaurant at Peninsula Ridge
Our culinary team takes great pride in offering the ultimate dining experience using fresh locally grown produce (often grown right down the street) served by skilled, professional and friendly staff. Our reputation for epicurean excellence is often one of the main reasons why people choose The Restaurant at Peninsula Ridge.
Always a pleasure. Great food service and location. Will be back again next season
Found the hamburger extremely dry. I know it is listed as dry aged beef, I was hoping it would have some moisture added before grilling. It was extremely dry. The chickpea curry my friend ordered was also not well received. She left half of it. The menu for lunch is limited in choices, could be expanded a bit for more choice. Maybe another 2 offerings.
It is fairly pricey but hey you expect that in the Toronto/Golden Triangle
The atmosphere was lovely, the server excellent! The location outstanding.
Lovely spot for good food and wine. Hospitality staff were really good.
The mussels were fantastic! We really enjoyed our lunch
From reception to the reserved table to the service and food. This restaurant is going to be included in our prefered and regular place.
Very nice, intimate setting for a special occasion. Service a bit slow due to not enough servers. Very good food.
Yes............ but very noisy, hard to hold a conversation.
The food was incredible. I had the lamb which was moist and flavorful and generous in portion. We were given a private table in a small nook on the main floor and felt like we were the only ones there (though the restaurant was full). The service was impeccable and our waitress very knowledgable in local wines and wine recommendations.
Every bite was a taste sensation. Amazing view over grapevines and Lake Ontario to Toronto skyline.
second time at this resturant and on both visits the staff was not only perfessional but well versed with menu and wine suggestions. food is first class all the way and perfect portions. will definately return.
Wonderful experience! Chef Taylor (I believe?) created an excellent feature meal; Arctic Char, lobster and season veggies. We started with the scallops, again very good. I found the confirmation call ahead of time inquiring about mobility issues to be very kind and thoughtful. My mother, in her 70’s appreciated it the option of being on the main floor.
Back to our favourite winery restaurant. Perfect day for the patio. Food was outstanding.
We all enjoyed our evening dinner at the Ridge. The food was amazing. The ambiance was good for a nice conversation and the service was perfectly timed. Of course we will return and have already recomended it to friends and family.
Beautiful location, great service, delicious food and wine. Chef locally sources products which are delicious and beautifully served. Patio seating overlooking the vineyards is awe inspiring. An awesome lunch!
The chickpea curry was to die for and would love the recipe! You wouldn't think the curry would go with wine but it did. Soooooo good
We had lunch on our way to the Hamilton Airport. We were looking for a light but quality meal...and could not have made better choice. We had two appetizers each. Beautifully prepared and presented and just the right amount of food. My wife had the zucchini soup to start and I had the mushrooms on toast. We both had the delicious scallops for our second course. The zucchini soup was so enjoyable the we asked for the recipe. The Chef promised to send it to us. Wonderful!!
Wonderful we truly enjoyed our evening and we shall return !
Lovely setting for dinner although very noisy with a large family group. The food was excellent although there was a mix up when serving dishes. Salmon was listed on the menu, but substituted trout as they ran out of salmon. Then they ran out of trout so ordered duck for a third choice.
We've been to this restaurant a few times and the food/service never disappoints. We took advantage of the weather and sat out in the patio - they had shawls that my wife used to keep the chill off. Both appetizers were great (her scallops, my mussels) as were the appetizers. My boneless lamb shank was delicious and just fell apart. My wife had the espresso crusted duck breast which couldn't be beat. She's not a fan of red meats so had the kitchen cook it a little more than usual which they did so and the meat was still wonderful.
Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Never disappointed, friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere and most of all the food was very good! Will be back again.
We quite enjoyed our dinner. We were a table of six and we tried 4 different main course items. All very good. Wait staff was very attentive. I was called a few days prior by the restaurant to inquire about anybody with mobility or allergy issues. One of us was celiac and they provided gluten free bread for them. I will definitely return....
Peninsula Ridge is a lovely location with a great patio if weather permits. Service is excellent. We had the duck. I fit and hamburger and they were both excellent. Highly recommend.
The duck was a little over done and the scallops were a little under done. The salmon was excellent, cooked perfectly. Enjoyed the patio seating and the service was top notch. Portions were surprisingly large and we left feeling well satisfied.
Celebrated a friend's birthday and sat out on the patio....a beautiful day in an absolutely beautiful spot. Love the entire place, in and out. Had a lovely luncheon. The service was a little slow but that could have been our fault because we were late in getting started. Perhaps we threw the kitchen off or something. Whatever the reason, the server, handled it well and we enjoyed a longer time in paradise. Thank you. I want to return for dinner soon.
The coho salmon was delicious. We sat outside and enjoyed the lovely view.
Incredibly friendly service from the booking to the exit.
An enjoyable experience all around. We had the burgers. Good meat, well-prepared with tasty toppings. Enjoyed the sparkling riesling and spit a glass of ice wine for dessert. The seating in the deck is lovely, with Lake Ontario in the background. The serving staff were friendly and informative. They have a new fall menu.
We have been coming back for many years. The food is always excellent, and varied. The salads were new and interesting, including the caesar. The service is also excellent and the wait staff know how to pair food with wine. Thank you for always providing an enjoyable experience.
Absolutely spectacular as usual. A windy day so we moved around on the patio. Food exquisite and great service.
The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation of each plate was gorgeous. Loved everything about the experience. The staff were friendly and efficient, the food amazing and the ambiance was beautiful.
Beautiful setting, the food was excellent and our server was exceptionally nice.
Excellent Brunch on the patio. Beautiful day, lovely atmosphere, excellent food and service.
we will be back.
Unfortunately dining at Peninsula Ridge was not a great experience. We were the last reservation of the evening and felt completely rushed as they were closing up around us. We even had to ask to keep our bottle of white wine cold during our dinner! The food was good but not extraordinary.
We most likely will not be returning.
My husband and I enjoyed our meal at Peninsula Ridge. The food was outstanding. The only drawback was that we felt rushed by the serving staff and, as far as we could tell, it had nothing to do with a lineup or patrons waiting for a table. The serving staff was very attentive. So attentive that my husband and I hadn't even finished our second glass of wine with our meal when we were asked about dessert. Within minutes, it was promptly delivered. We had order two specialty coffees and the cream brulee (which they mistakenly brought over the cheesecake...no biggie.... it was replaced.) The thing is it was obvious that my husband had not finished his beer nor had I finished my glass of wine when the coffees were delivered. As a result, by the time I got around to drinking the coffee, it was cold. While we appreciate their promptness and efficiency, which is required in the restaurant business, we simply felt that we were not holding anyone up so why was there such a rush on to get us out of the restaurant. Regardless, the food was delicious and we tipped well. Main Point: we were hoping and looking for Fika (Swedish) - a moment to slow down and enjoy the good things in life. It was our anniversary, after all. Honestly, why was it necessary to rush and scamper about???
We try to go at least once a year. Always worth the drive. Fantastic food and service and great atmosphere.
An incredible dining experience! The food was outstanding - every choice! I can’t wait to go again...
Excellent food and service, wonderful location to sit on the patio in the sun. Truly memorable.
One of my favourite restaurants in the area. In summer the patio is lovely with views of the vineyard and Lake Ontario. The food never disappoints and the waitstaff are friendly and helpful. I love taking guests from out of time to Peninsula Ridge.
We’ve eaten at the restaurant several times in the past and enjoyed both the food and service. Unfortunately we were disappointed this time with both aspects of our lunch. Food was under seasoned (bordering bland) and dry. There were no recommendations offered for wine (until prompted), drink was forgotten, food dropped on the table and no bread basket provided.
Our meal too a long time coming . It arrived overcooked! We sent it back and the manager graciously offered us wine and a dessert to make up for the delay . When the second attempt finally arrived, my lamb was sinewy and should have been quite seared on the outside but pink to red on the inside . I guess the new person was afraid to overcook it a second time so it was undercooked on the outside . Apart from that, the lamb sirloin was not trimmed as it still had the "silver skin" left on it. And flavourless . A sprinkling of pistachio nuts ( menu said almonds) and 3 cherries on the side do not add much flavour . Menu said Amarena cherry Jus. There was no "jus". As we walked out, the back kitchen door was open and I saw several young men - I think this was a cooking class and our meal was the result . This made me see how good a cook I am as I could do better . The creme brûlée dessert was lumpy, not silky smooth . This is not high end dining , just a lovely locale . We spent most of our time there waiting for our meal - 2 and 1/2 hours
