Restaurant at Peninsula Ridge
Our culinary team takes great pride in offering the ultimate dining experience using fresh locally grown produce (often grown right down the street) served by skilled, professional and friendly staff. Our reputation for epicurean excellence is often one of the main reasons why people choose The Restaurant at Peninsula Ridge.
An incredible dining experience! The food was outstanding - every choice! I can’t wait to go again...
Excellent food and service, wonderful location to sit on the patio in the sun. Truly memorable.
One of my favourite restaurants in the area. In summer the patio is lovely with views of the vineyard and Lake Ontario. The food never disappoints and the waitstaff are friendly and helpful. I love taking guests from out of time to Peninsula Ridge.
We’ve eaten at the restaurant several times in the past and enjoyed both the food and service. Unfortunately we were disappointed this time with both aspects of our lunch. Food was under seasoned (bordering bland) and dry. There were no recommendations offered for wine (until prompted), drink was forgotten, food dropped on the table and no bread basket provided.
Our meal too a long time coming . It arrived overcooked! We sent it back and the manager graciously offered us wine and a dessert to make up for the delay . When the second attempt finally arrived, my lamb was sinewy and should have been quite seared on the outside but pink to red on the inside . I guess the new person was afraid to overcook it a second time so it was undercooked on the outside . Apart from that, the lamb sirloin was not trimmed as it still had the "silver skin" left on it. And flavourless . A sprinkling of pistachio nuts ( menu said almonds) and 3 cherries on the side do not add much flavour . Menu said Amarena cherry Jus. There was no "jus". As we walked out, the back kitchen door was open and I saw several young men - I think this was a cooking class and our meal was the result . This made me see how good a cook I am as I could do better . The creme brûlée dessert was lumpy, not silky smooth . This is not high end dining , just a lovely locale . We spent most of our time there waiting for our meal - 2 and 1/2 hours
Great evening celebrating! Thanks for making it special.
Had a wonderful time out for our anniversary. Tracey was amazing as always and super educated on the area, chef, food and wine! She always makes our experience top notch. It had recently rained and she took the time to create a beautiful patio setting for us regardless of the weather. We are always super excited to come back after these wonderful experiences and the incredible service we receive!!! Thanks again to all and see you soon :)!!!!!!!!
Very pricey, but worth it!
Great staff, made us feel very welcome.
We are never disappointed at Peninsula restaurant, the patio overlooking the vineyard adds to the charm that keeps us returning. The food is excellent, you can tell that a lot of thought has gone into the menu. Love the sangria. I highly recommend.
We have been at this restaurant many times over the years and if anything, it is only getting better! Always top of our list for excellence.
Wonderful evening. Had the pleasant surprise of dining outside which was heaven!
Can't wait to return. Our server, Tracey was outstanding. All her recommendations were great especially the duck entrée which was enjoyed by all who ordered it.
It was a beautiful afternoon and we were able to sit outside. The grounds and view were spectacular. We had lunch which was very, very good. The service was friendly and efficient. We will certainly return.
We have eaten here at least a half a dozen times, usually having lunch on the patio looking out over the vineyard. It’s a great spot to stop on the way down to Niagara Falls.
The food is always tasty and well presented and the ambience is relaxed and peaceful.
A visit to the winery store either before or after lunch allows for some enjoyable browsing and wine tasting
This was are third time the your restaurant. We were very disappointed with the chef special, the steak was to thin ,over cooked and over price. This was are 45 anniversary, we left disappointed.
Vines, View and wonderful lunch!
Daughter treated me to a belated birthday lunch at Peninsula Ridge. It was a beautiful day and we sat on the patio under the trees with a view out over the vineyard toward the lake. Cold soup of the day was a gazpacho-peach, refreshing and tasty for summer. We had a sangria to accompany our shared Antipasto platter for two. We thoroughly enjoyed the prosciutto, chorizo, duck confit, gherkins, varied kinds of olives, grilled vegetables, flatbread with fruit spread. Almost more than the two of us could eat!
Service was exceptional - attentive and pleasant. On departing, we took our own tour of the heritage house while deliberately visiting the upstairs ladies' room (instead of main floor). We decided that we must come back again in a cooler season and enjoy the inside dining room areas (included some secluded little window area nooks!).
Amazing brunch - great outdoor patio. Definitely going back.
My wife and I wanted to experience our visit to Peninsula Ridge Vinery with a lunch and Saturday was a perfect day in August summer. We chose Patio instead of the comfortable well appointed interior dining place. Despite the relatively hot day, the umbrellas provided welcome relief. We started with an antipasto platter for two and we were not disappointed. We savoured every bit of Duck rillette, Pingue prosciutto, chorizo sausage, local cheese, citrus marinated olives and grilled vegetable salad. As we wanted a light lunch we decided to share a Peninsual Ridge Pizza which was delectable. Light and delicately flavoured, it was a perfect ending for our lunch. We skipped dessert and wine as we were visiting a few more vineries in the region. Overall a very satisfying lunch experience and excellent value for money.
Splendid dining experience and even better views of the vineyard as you dine on their patio. Food was fresh and flavourful. Service was lovely and well paced. Highly recommend the seafood bouillabaisse. Will be returning
On a warm summer day the patio is magnificent with views overlooking the vineyards, lake and even the Toronto skyline. I had an excellent pizza and my wife a very good chicken & mushroom crepe. Crepe should have been warmer. Unfortunately our server forgot to bring the soup yet still charged for it. Relaxed ambience but noise levels fairly high because it was busy and everyone was enjoying the experience. I thought the umbrellas could have been placed more effectively to shade tables from the sun. The restaurant is thoroughly enjoyable and we recommend it to friends.
Great restaurant !
Foods is awsome
We enjoyed a lovely lunch from the Sunday Brunch menu. The scone was amazing! The quiche was delicious. Everyone was so nice, both in the shop and in the restaurant. The serving staff was very attentive. Definitely a place to return to sometime soon.
Beautiful property with superb food and great friendly service !
We spent another wonderful birthday outing at Peninsula Ridge. Each person was delighted with the choices made. The service was exceptional as well as the food and wines. Two of our guests had cocktails in addition to the wine and said that they were spectacular! There aren`t enough words to describe how wonderful each dining experience is at this fine restaurant.
We had our choice of seating, which is always nice. I had ordered the appetizer special which was a variety of mushrooms on what appeared to be on french bread. It was not good. It tasted like straw. I think they were surprised that I didn't like it because the waitress told me that she served the item about 40 times and I was the only one that didn't like it. She was very nice about it and brought me a salad to replace it, which was very good. Other than that our entree's were very good and cooked to our specifications.
It was the second time we have visited Peninsula Ridge, and I would probably go back again.
Beautiful setting, excellent staff. We had a lovely lunch in the patio overlooking the vineyard.
The food was delicious, and cooked supremely and the presentation was artful. The wine was delicious so we now have a new wine we will definitely purchase. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We were one of the last to leave as we were thoroughly enjoying ourselves, we sat outside and enjoyed the view of the fields and the sunset. The restored mansion is also gorgeously done. Would definitely go back.
Lovely meal in a truly stunning location. We had a visitor from NYC and she enjoyed the venue and the hospitable manner in which we were treated. Anna was outstanding as she recommended dishes and graciously served us. This was my third time at Peninsula Ridge. It has become a destination place for our out of town visitors. We have never been disappointed.
Excellent winery and restaurant. The food was fabulous and as was the service!!
A great location and not too far from home. We took our neighbours there who enjoyed their meals as well. We were late getting there partly due to rain and traffic but the staff were willing to take us in. We were the last to leave the lunch period. The bubbly was greatly enjoyed by the women who together purchased 8 bottles at the store. The first time I was there was nicer as the weather was good and we could eat out on the deck/patio which has a great view of the lake but also the property itself.
Beautiful setting right in a vineyard. Rows of grapevines all around you. Restaurant is in a lovely old 1880s home repurposed for a restaurant. Service was excellent, quiet and friendly. Food was very good, with a few innovative options. Pernod mussels reminded me of time in Normandy and Brittany. Wine on offer is excellent but a bit overpriced. Great place for a special occasion or a special guest.
Amazing location, good food, great service. Our server, Sam, definitely added to our amazing experience.....particularly considering it was only her fifth day on the job! Will definitely return.
A pleasant dining experience. Could work on making certain tables better shaded from hot sun on those extreme days.
Tout simplement succulent
Tout était parfait le cadre majesteux la nourriture et le service ont été excellents
Aucune fausse note vraiment parfait !!!
Good food, great service, lovely setting. Same every time we visit.
Had eaten there before and brought guests this past weekend. We all very much enjoyed the evening. The service was attentive and friendly, the food was fantastic. I had the bouillabaisse, my husband had the pork chop and our friends had the pasta and the trout. Thank you Peninsula Ridge.
Spectacular as usual. Worth the drive!
We stopped for a family lunch before beginning a journey. We each ordered something different and all were delighted with the choices made. The chef's special was a hit as were the pizza and wrap. I ordered the mussels and as always they were a true taste treat. It was a hot day, but we chose to sit on the patio for the amazing view. The staff made sure that our water glasses were always filled. At this restaurant, they have that perfect balance of ensuring that you are well looked after without intruding. Despite the fact that everything is made from scratch, there was little waiting for each course. It was the perfect way to begin a journey. Thank you to the amazing chef and serving staff. Every trip here is perfect.
Don't know if I would recommend. Had brunch there two Sundays in a row. First Sunday, June 23, was good, except for the faux pas of the waitress, but was then corrected by taking the bottle of wine off our bill. Also pizza crust was tough, and the toppings just average. Would never order it again.
June 30: My burger was terrible and contained hard little pieces in it that looked like bone chips. Went with the same folks who were there on the 23 of June. They ordered the same as they had the week before but said it wasn't as good and would not go back.
Outdoor patio is a beautiful setting.
This is the second time for lunch within 3 months, the food quality is still quite well and the service is good too
Went for some wine tasting first. Used this time to decide what we were going to have with our meal. Had the charcuterie for one. Excellent for two people saving for main. My wife had the Filet, perfectly done with fresh local vegetables. I had the Boulliabase, delicious. Recommend this establishment to everyone.
